Hey guys, I'm making this Announcement as a place for me to post things that I feel you guys as the EoG guild members should know. All important announcements that are not on the main page of the Guild will be displayed here, so try and check up on this thread once in awhile to make sure you don't miss anything!
6 - 27 -09 : Wow. Hello everyone! Darkeenya here, EoG's absentee guild owner and admin. I cannot believe this guild has stayed fairly active in my YEARS of absence! I am very impressed.
Since so many people are continuing to use EoG as a resource, I am going to do my best to start maintaining it once again. That being said, I am now a college student with not many years to go before I graduate. Therefore, I don't have much free time for EoG. I will be actively searching for a Moderator to basically do all the general duties needed for an active guild as large as EoG. Once I select a Mod, I will make another announcement saying who has been chosen.
PLEASE DO NOT PM ME ASKING TO BE A MOD. I already have some people in mind, and will decide accordingly. Thanks guys! smile

WTF!!! either there is sumtin wrong with the New Topic button or there's sumtin wrong with my computer! everytime i click the New Topic button, it sends me to the "store" i guess u wuld call it, where there's the guy in armor and there's buttons for FAQ, My Guilds, Search, and Create Guild and stuff! HELP MEEE!!! i dunno whats wrong an i wanna post!!! *cries like a baby crying * PLEASE HELP ME!!!

8 - 30 - 06: Alright! I have an idea. I want to introduce a new subforum called the "How-To" Forum. This would include various threads giving step-by-step guides on various things we have to do with horses. Examples; How to Tie a Knot for Western Cinch, How to Poultice a Hoof, How to Wrap Standing Wraps, etc. Is this a subforum you would want? PLEASE LET ME KNOW IN THIS POST. If you don't want it, I won't make it. But if you do, I think it would be a great resource! smile I think its a great idea. It'd save a LOT of time looking it up on the internet or asking around to see if anyone would know how to do something.

It's a kickbutt idea 3nodding
I have a bunch of tutorials I could give.... and it'd be dead useful. You could like... have a sticky in there where people post what they need tutorials on, and you put it in the first post, and people can look and make one. =D

This is a great idea!
I hope, however, that the more knowlegable among us will not fail to comment on any advice that is erroneous or dangerous. Maybe the mod for this can put a comment in a post like that pointing to the critique?
Nah, that's askin too much.
Anyway, I really think it is good. Like how to take a temperature, how to get the respiration rate, how to get the pulse (all 3 of which you should be able to tell the vet if you have to call one). What to look for when cleaning out a hoof, grooming techniques, ways to cure a horse of bad manners...
Oh, buy, this would be a great Thread thingie.

As for what Mustang Dragon said, we just have to take what we need and leave the rest because what one person thinks is dangerous might not be dangerous to another. If you get what I mean. Thats where we all have to use judgement on our own parts.
I think this would be a VERY good idea!

Yeah, I agree about what both you and Mustang said. I'll most likely stick a little disclaimer on the How-To's, saying that everyone might not have this exact same method, some may disagree, consult your vet for serious things, etc, etc.

I think a seperate forum would be a great idea as opposed to the stickies in the advice forum. After a while, the stickies will clog up the advice forum.
