I find reasons to cast while I'm at work, but it usually take me a lot of preparation and overall a lot of time, so my bosses would find me missing. Do you use any methods to cast in a pinch? I find that if I just wait it out, my wishes will be fulfilled for me eventually, but sometimes it feels like a long ride being drug behind a car waiting for it, ya know?

I'm of the opinion that one shouldn't cast a spell on a whim, but should consider it carefully from different angles first. So I say the fact that you'd have to wait until after work is a good thing.

Should it be a desire to change something, or a selfish desire, I would usually be in strong agreement that one must contemplate every aspect of the casting.
However, some days I wish only for others to be happy, or to succeed in something particular. I guess there could still be harm in that confused

I agree that all aspects should be taken into consideration, and thinking before acting is always a good way to operate. However I do acknowledge that there are things that come up unexpectedly when you are at work or on the go, such as having a customer with a bad attitude come and go, you may feel the need to cleanse a space, or you travel into an unfamilar area and feel threatened so you wish to cast a protection, or you recieve a call that someone you know was in a car accident/had a heart attack ect. You may wish to do a healing spell (assuming you were asked to by the person or someone representing them at the time). In these circumstances you really don't have to think to hard about it, you know what you need, and none are really of questionable intent. In cases like these I find having a good imagination helps, because then I can just sit wherever I am for a minute, ( heck go off to the bathroom for a moment) make a picture in my head of what I need, (in the case of a friend in a car accident I would visulaize them healthy, up and moving around, full of life and energy) I may say a few words in my head or out loud, (something like, wrap Jane in tlc, may her injury , heal speedily, as I will, let it be) and that would be it. Then when I get home I would do something a little more involved.

Viscerim However, some days I wish only for others to be happy, or to succeed in something particular. I guess there could still be harm in that confused Aye, but why is it your business to interfere in the lives of others? Of course, one shouldn't do a spell on someone without their permission, usually, but yeah. It's not just whether something might cause harm. It's all these unforeseen circumstances, be they good, bad, or neutral. If you mean well, that's fine, and you can do as you wish with you craft, but you should never do a spell on the spur of the moment. Normal actions can have far-reaching and unforeseen circumstances. Magic works in a different way and can affect things we don't consider, so a spell is something that should be thought out before casting.

What is my business? I guess I just like to see others happy. Also, a pleasant attitude is good for everyone.
As far as spur of the moment, MercyWild knows what I'm talking about smile I find that if it's an emergency, I find myself in the bathroom with a sticknote lol. Use what you have right? Also pertaining to spur of the moment, I would not make large changes spur of the moment, just little bits of help. When I mean something in particular, I mean on a micro level. Good circumstances are what I'm aiming for. Neutral, well, I'm sure no one could find themselves caring about neutral circumstances. The bad circumstances are what I forsee before doing anything, and if I forsee a bad circumstance, then I don't do it. Even an indirect one, for example, I would never wish for someone to receive a promotion, because I forsee a ton of bad things resulting from a good intention. I am wise with my decisions.
Magic affecting things we don't consider: Frankly, casting affects absolutely everything around us, and probably a lot of things far away. That is why I vow to make all the energy I send positive, and I hope everyone gets affected by it!
I don't believe I've ever received permission to cast on anyone else before. Of course, the ones who are spiritually aware know it's happening and they know it's me sweatdrop someone has caught me before. Then again, I don't usually cast on other people anyway, unless it's for a positive micro-purpose. (ie. A good day; a good hour even; an opportunity)
