Hmm, Yes I did.
Well, To tell you the short and... short story, I was looking up a favorite band of mine - Bring Me The Horizon - and that led me to a link of them having an interview with PETA. Then I looked around the PETA site and i started to read the "What they never told you' thing.
I only got up to the 4th thing before tears were running down my cheeks.
This is wrong! They shouldn't be able to do this. Animal cruelty, Thankyou very much!
It makes me want to get a pet chicken so that this will never happen to it. (Unfortunately my pet Husky doesn't take too kindly to small animals and feathery critters)
Anyway, I leave you with the link to what i read and a few questions.
Link: PETA2: What They Never Told You.
Anyways.
question What do you think? question How wrong is this?
question What would you name your pet chicken? Oh come on, You know you want one.Ava (my Husky) has a good soul, She's a great dog really. Don't hate her.
Listen to Bring Me The Horizon, They support/are vegetarians, They also think vegetarians are hotter! Go them!
Oh, This is the link to the BMTH interview i was talking about- Link: "Vegetarians are hotter!" EDIT: Oh come on! Milk has pus in it?! I think I'm gonna barf!
Oh and one other question, question Can someone tell me what Soy Milk is? I know, I'm not very bright... I have missed 5 years of schooling!

Well, I think it's extremely screwed up. I think it's wrong to use animals regardless of how they're treated; treating them more "humanely" isn't the answer. The dairy industry is so extremely screwed up; continually raping cows, taking their babies away from them hours or days after birth, then killing them when they're no longer profitable.
I would adopt a chicken from a Farm Sanctuary; but not to eat it's eggs. I don't view animals as commodities. Chickens eat their unfertilized eggs to regain the nutrients they lost producing them.
& soy milk is a drink made from pressing soy beans and extracting the liquid. It is generally sweetened and fortified with vitamin D, calcium, and vitamin B12. It's available in many flavors - chocolate, plain, vanilla, chai, coffee, eggnog, etc. Most grocery stores carry soy milk.

Animal cruelty makes some of us cry, or atleast you and me... I cried like a baby when I was watching Earthlings last sunday. @ veg: I didn't know they sold Chai flavoured soy milk. Or atleast they don't sell it here in Finland. What brand is it?♥

BOLTHOUSE FARMS!! Vanilla Chai with soy milk is my favorite drink. Even though it's not cheap, I can't resist getting it everytime I'm in the grocery store. I've also fallen in love with their mango lemonade. Yummm.
On topic: I volunteer at a wildlife rehab, and in addition to the several wild animals there, the owner also keeps a chicken coop with copped chickens, roosters, and turkeys, as well as several free-range chickens and roosters. They are all fed an awesome diet consisting of fruits, veggies, and the typical chicken scratch. They're pretty spoiled. Every so often we'll go in the coop and collect eggs to use for the raccoons, opossums, and other omnivores. I was unaware that they ate their own eggs, but we do take their eggs (when they're not sitting on them) when we see them. Some we let hatch, and I'm sure some escape into the stomach of some of the chickens. Neat. They seem to be very heatlhy, so I guess that's the case.
I personally eat eggs very little, but when I do, I always splurge and buy the free range "ultra-organic" eggs (you know, the ones that are like $4-5 a dozen x.x) because I assume that these chickens are also raised the same way.

@ Sini X: Silk makes chai-flavored soy milk! I live in the U.S. though, so I'm not too sure about the offerings in Finland.
@ Ailinea: The eggs most likely aren't; there are no laws about labeling eggs and the farms aren't inspected to see if they're truly "free-range." The chickens may not be in cages, but they're still inside a large, windowless shed to induce molting. Likewise, the male chicks are still immediately killed and the chickens end up in slaughterhouses once they fail to be profitable. Here's some more information.

Animal cruelty makes me cry. Literally. I read a story about a cat named ugly, and cried for five minutes because the story was so sad. Even watching it in front of my face, makes me want to kill every single cattle rancher out there, and set all the cows loose. I love PETA to death, and I fully support what they do for animals, hence the logo and link being in my siggy. If only I could get some more money and a prepaid credit card to get some awesome items for my birthday! But anyways, I think that PETA really needs all the celebrity supporters out there, and as much media attention as they can get, because the truth really does need to be exposed about meat eating, and how unhealthy it is for you.

It would be redundant to talk about my take on animal cruelty. It's repulsive, sickening, and heart-breakingly tragic. For most of us, it's the reason why we're veg*ns and, thus, members of this guild.
As for pet chickens, I wouldn't have a name for it, because I wouldn't have one. Sure, I hate people killing and torturing chickens, and some chickens are even cute, but I still wouldn't want one for a pet. For some reason (a long story, trust me) I just really dislike birds in general.
But you should totally get a pet chicken. Huskys are gentle dogs, and I bet the two would get along well.

I can't watch videos on animal cruelty. They make me cry and want to strangle the horrible people who do that to animals. A guild I'm in for people love animals have members that support animal testing and bash vegan people with lame excuses to support the suffering of animals. I might leave that guild because of that.

I remember looking at that page when I was first considering going veg.
I actually had some chickens growing up. We lived in a residential area, but our backyard was big enough for them to run around in. There was three hens at first, but then my grandma gave us some fertilized eggs because her chickens wouldn't hatch them. The chickens were our little gardeners who ate all the bad bugs and fertilized the grass. The only problem is that they "fertilized" our wooden sun deck too and ate the cat's food. stare

I. I think know that PETA isn't the best 'animal rights' place to go to, they kill more animals then they save. Also, I already knew about this, it's sad and disturbing, but I did. crying
II. It's VERY wrong, to do that to any animal (human or non-human) is just horrid.
III. I already have..... let me count.... alot, more then 50 sweatdrop 3nodding
