Funny story - I've been telling my bf to read Twilight since the beginning of last year. I knew he was busy, so it didn't surprise me much that he couldn't.

Anyway, he was just at Disneyland when he got off a ride. He was waiting for his parents to get off, as they'd gotten separated, when he saw it; a copy of Twilight sitting on top of a trash can. He waited by it for a good 20 minutes, then his parents came so he stuck it in his bag.

When he told me that, I was like "You know, you probably just thoroughly ruined someone's day. There's probably a fan girl somewhere freaking out right now because you stole Edward from her."

So, if your copy of Twilight went missing in Disneyland, we may have it.

But may I ask why the HELL would you leave your book unattended and ON A TRASH CAN?! scream How dare you violate something someone worked hard on?! Especially something as wonderful as Twilight crying Now that I think of it, maybe you don't deserve to have it back stare

Chill out! Obviously, the person who left the book on top of a trash can didn't like the book or something. They have a right to do whatever they want with it once they've purchased it, and that includes throwing it away or abandoning it. Maybe they figured that someone else will enjoy it more than they did and they wanted to give those others a chance. A violation of the author would be the person who leaked the half-completed Midnight Sun and those who read it even before Stephanie Meyer posted it on her own website. The only bad thing I see about this situation is that the person was obviously not environmentally conscious. Twilight is a big book and that is ALOT of paper to NOT be recycling.

The way I see it, if she left it there (and you boyfriend didn't pick it up), maybe someone else would have grabbed it that was interested in it.
But i mean, really how long would it really have sat there? lol. Theres quite a few people that enjoy twilight, so I don't think it would have gone to waste.

I actually found a brand-new copy of a book (not Twilight) lying on a sidewalk in Hawaii once. I picked it up, and it was a good read that got me started on the rest of the series written by that author.

In fact, my Choir teacher at school says he purposely buys books and abandons them sometimes.

Okay, that is actually such a cool thing to do.
Like buy your favourite book and leave it somewhere so someone will find it and read it and fall in love with it like you . . .

Yeah...but I honestly wouldn't pick up a book lying on the street. What if it had, like, a bomb or something in it. I think that the person who left the book lying around shoulda given it to Goodwill or something. But clearly he/she wans't very smart if he/she left Twilight abandonded.
