Ugh, well guys. I've been through many HowTos, I even found an application that gives me an interface... I've come to a conclusion: my flashdrive does not support booting, or gettin minimal 2008 Gentoo on to a flashdrive may just be not figured out yet/posted.

O well, a cd''s the only thing I can do now.

Have you tried this howto, http://www.pendrivelinux.com/2007/09/21/usb-gentoo-20070-install/, Its for Gentoo 2007.0 and are for installing it on windows but you can change as needed.

fNo didn't see that one, but im pretty sure my stick is incompatible with most stuff. it's quite old and only holds 256mb. Eh I'm pretty happy with a cd anyways. I just now unpacked a stage 3 tarball. It's so pimp, like seriously.

Second try: Went well, the only problem was when it was all over there was no eth0 at all. so i just need to give it a third try and get that internet working and ill be fine. O and GRUB did not auto run my kernel but that'll be easy fixed soon as well.

My laptop sucks, like seriously, its constantly pressing the print button even though I literally ripped off the button, it worked for a while but it started happenin again... and was interrupting everything..... SO I beat the s**t outa my box... Nothing lets me disable the built in keyboard. and while beating the s**t outa my box i Fed up the installation cd.... so I through it at my other monitor.... It's not Gentoo thats pissin me off, because its damn awesome... It's my crappy a** Compaq Presario 2100 back from like 2003... With ATI Raedeon Mobility UI, which is a b***h to get direct rendering on... I'd much rather have an nvidia..... Whelp thats all i have for today.... I haven't had such anger issues ever since i was 12...
