All kinds of swords. you got your "fantasy"- you got your "old time"- you got "Japanese favorites"- and you've got "the strange sh!t you found in that antique store on that corner that people say weird supernatural stuff happens but you didn't care and went on anyway for the thrill and adventure but then you ended up regretting making that decision"-

Aurturia you're like a bunch of kids drooling over your first porno mag. Why not look at some real swords? like jeez, I don't know Albion or Arms and Armor, Angus Trim, bugei, Tinker, ASA or even CAS Iberia or darkwood? Most of this stuff is ren faire crap you can get for under $100. I get a lot of crap as gifts it drives me nuts been trying to break my relatives of that. My Katana is the only sword that I can say is really worth a damn. Several of my weapons I made myself. Right now I am wanting to save my money and have someone make a good pair of custom Wu dip Dao for me I don't like the ones I found the ones im holding are cool but the blades aren't worth a damn. They work for practice but they were not made for use. I was looking at several b*****d swords but the one I liked had bad reviews. Your not going to find a good sword for under $300. My Katana was around $300 http://www.by-the-sword.com/acatalog/BWT_Katana_IP-025-2.html I did not buy it from the net I met a guy I believe it was the guy who makes them but it's been awhile. From what I hear they are not making them anymore.

I have seen a basket hilt claymore but it had the blade of a sabre. I want a nice sabre but haven't seen many I don't want some military knock off. Cold Steel has some but I didn't like them that much.

That's a not too bad looking katana for the $300 mark. Can't say I know much about the guys that made it though. :/
I've made a few bo and other shuriken myself. good times. lost them allot quicker. did you make anything else in these photos?
Your collection is kind of all over the place. Is there any one discipline you tend to study more than another?
PS I have mixed feelings about cold steel too. =P
PPS I was just talking with my friends at the salon today and one brought up your Scottish Basket Hilt with a saber blade. Apparently, they do have historical reverance- something about whole cavalry regiments having them- and then we got to talking about curved backswords and basket hilts. Small world.

I like weapon history in general. Cold Steel makes some cool stuff but I want something made in a historical way it can't be a fake I guess thats how I feel. Yeah I own a Katana but no it's not Japanese and im sure it wasn't made the same way a Jap smith would have. To be honest if I had to choose a style for the type of fighting methods I like it would be a sword with a short curved blade and a handle big enough to hold in one or used as a hand and a half. I want to learn the Chinese Broadsword it just feels right. I am looking for a good one but haven't found any. It's easier to find European swords made for use then for Chinese. I made my Kyoketsu Shoge but it's not done I don't have the tools right now.

ah yesss... we know these guys quite well.
I finished a pretty cool knife the other day: http://d-a-n-e.deviantart.com/art/Knife-1-162709355
I was sort of thinking "I want something that feels and moves like the old spanish navaja." I'm pretty happy with my results.
