You wanted us to make our own topics, right?

I love potatoes. So I thought I'd post a recipe I recently tried (and am using for supper tonight) that is really good. I'd love it if anyone could post their favourite potatoe recipe, too.

The recipe calls for 12 new potaotes...I used 5 medium-sized white potatoes. Use as many as you need. Peel them and boil over medium-high heat until they are easily poked with a fork, but still firm. Drain.
Melt 4 teaspoons of butter or margerine in a microwavable dish, about 10 seconds or so. Measure 4 teaspoons each of fresh or dried chopped parsley and chives. You may or may not need all of them, I only needed two of each.
Place potatoes in a serving bowl. Cover with melted butter/margerine and stir. Now add the parsley and chives. Stir them around to get a fairly even coating, and you're done. Yummy!
(You could mix the butter with the parsley and chives before spreading it over the potatoes if you wish, and garnish with sprigs of parsley if desired.)
There's my yummy Herbed Potatoes.

No worries smile
Yum, potatoes.
I am rather lazy myself, and I use the big ol' box of mashed potatoes, being sure to add plenty of butter. Then I like to sprinkle shredded cheese in it and mix it around until I have yummy mountains of cheesy potatoes.

I came up with an idea but never tried it scream beware!
I was going to mix taco seasoned hamburger, shredded cheese, and whipped cream into mashed-but-still-slightly-firm potatoes. Taco Tatoes *cough* if you will sweatdrop If you should brave this bizarre recipe, do let me know how it works.

Yum, cheezy. I might try those Taco Tatoes someday, though I may leave out the whipped cream razz

Lets see - I also made baked potatoes with Swiss cheese and Cajun spices. I went through a "Swiss and Cajun" phase a month or two ago. It tastes good on scrambled eggs too.
