Welll I got a couple friends out in the sticks with a butt load of cars, evidently farmer boys got a taste for broken cars.... anyways this one chick has a hubby who wants to be in the amatuer motocorss so he buys beater sports cars but never has the time to fix em up..

well I catch wind that he has got an RX-7 with no engine, and well they have two 240z (Datsun) and I am trying to find out if there is a plausible engine swap with the one into the 7..

see you remember how Nissan has always had the strongest inline sixs ever since the 1970's, and even now ith wht RB26DET pumping out 400hp stock

well I did some research and I found that the RX-7 engine is too small, rather the RB26 is too big

I really am looking for a MArk III Supra....I know I change alot

No offense, but I couln't help notice that you have poor spelling. Other than that, you have to have a certain taste for bugs. I'm not big on them.

I have something. Me and my brother were having a party at our dad's house. I real honky tonk redneck bon fire. Well the fire was dieing and there was no wood by the fire. I knew where a tree had fallen by the house we were going to have to get it the next day anyway. The fire was on the other side of the creek that runs through my dad's yard. And we had my dads truck. It was lifted up a little with mud tires, me and my brother thought it would go through the creek no problem. It was only about three feet deep. So we got in it and got stuck. The septic tank drains there so it was all mushy and nasty. the truck just sunk. The driver side frame rail was sitting on the ground. The tires were not even on the ground. That night we tried to pull it out with tractors and other trucks it would not move at all. Damn near pulled my friends bumper off, and the tractor was just spinning. We did not get it out that night. The next morning we kept trying. Nothing worked. We had a fire department rescue truck trying to winch it out it did not even move. To get it out we had to take the front loader of a tractor and lift up the rear end of the truck and put concrete blocks under the tire so the body was not sitting on the ground. we finally got it out. and we were in trouble. and we never got that damn fire wood.

I probably mentioned it elsewhere in this guild, but I can't remember where... (maybe in the 'First Car' thread...)

Anyway, I had a Geo Metro at one time. 3-cyl engine, 5 forward gears with a standard tranny. The way I drove it, the car always had a fast take off, given that it was a little white egg. And no, I don't mean a take off that could kick a real car's butt either. Put the egg up against a porsche, and the egg would be covered in dust before the clutch was popped. I just meant, verses the typical driver, it had a fast takeoff.

Anyway, I was sitting at a stoplight one day, it had been raining, and the light was on a hill. The car was front wheel drive, and like I said, the tranny is standard. At that time, I used to use the clutch/gas to keep the car at a light, not hitting the brake at all. (Yes, I know it's bad for the clutch. I'd burned through enough of them to know not to do it, but hitting the break meant taking longer to hit the gas again...)

These guys pull up beside the egg in this black work in progress. You could tell the car was holding a V-6 under the hood by two ways, one: it said V-6 on the side of the car, and two: it sounded like one, albeit only barely... The car was hurting or something. But the guy behind the wheel and his friends thought they were hot stuff and wanted to impress the pretty ladies in the white egg (my best friend and I). They were calling over to us, saying all kinds of stupid crap, and the driver nodded up to the next light couple hundred yards uphill. I nodded back, accepting the challenge.

It was great. The light turned green, I popped the clutch, slammed the gas, shifted to second at 20mph, shifted to third at 40mph, and reached the next light (not only first, but) a full car length in front of the carload of guys.

The expressions on their faces was totally worth burning the clutch just that much more. I wish I had a camera to capture the moment of their shame. Unfortunately, I didn't.. But I got a hell of a fun ride out of it.

I saw them again a day or so later, and they were laughing and carrying on, but I could see the blush of shame.

Did I mention it was raining the day of the race? And that the egg is/was light enough that I could lift it barehanded? The entire car (total), probably weighed in no more than 500 pounds... Did i sit and spin at the light? You bet I did. Did it stop me from reaching the next light first? Hell no. Was it one of the best rides of my life? Hell yes. Would I do it again? In a heartbeat.
