iPod Touch vs. iPhone?

So I just bought an iPod Touch from a guy in my grade, who was selling it since he just bought an iPhone. But to me, they seem like the same thing, with the exception that the iPhone is a cell phone aswell.. What do you think?

i needed a bigger ipod bit i just got an 8 gig. my last one was only 2.
