I am one of those people who would rather drink tea than coffee. My husband and I have a coffee pot, it gets used more often to make tea than to make coffee. As I mentioned in my intro post making herbal teas is a hobby of mine. One of my favorite get up and going morning teas is something I call Solar Energy Tea Ginseng Ginger root Cinnamon Lemon zest Orange Zest Roasted Chicory Root A pinch of spearmint (for an extra kick I have been known to charge it with the intent to have an awake, alert, active mind, and happy energy) My ex still has me make a batch for him to keep on hand as well as a calming one. My husband also likes this one. Anyway thought I would share. See if anyone else here is a tea-aholic like me. If you have any favorite herbal blends of tea feel free to share them here as well.

I started drinking tea on occasion, but I don't know how to make my own. I just bought packages like the Lipton White Tea (Yum! Blueberry Pomegranate) but I need two spoons of sugar to sweeten it.

I like my cold tea unsweetened but if it is hot tea, it has to have sugar or honey in it.

I tried honey, but it didn't work too well for me. I also tried vanilla, not the best idea, and cinnamon, which wasn't bad, if you don't put too much in. And then it still tastes yuck to me. I should try brown sugar next. You can tell I like trying odd things, yes?

I like honey in some herbal teas. I have found that it mixes better if you heat the honey before adding it to the tea, (then it is thinner and dissolves better). Brown sugar would be good in teas with cinnamon and ginger I expect, but you want to add it very little at a time, because it is likely to make a thick syrup and the bottom of the cup if you add too much.
