How did you come across fishing? I got a bait in the daily chance, so tried it for the heck of it. And I've never been the same, since. Just kidding!
Have you ever competed? Yes, with horrible results.
Have you won any trophies? Heck, no.
Do you plan on ever competing? Yes.
What is your favorite lake? Why? I like them all.
What rod do you use? Why? Distance (regular) in Bassken, performance plus everywhere else.

Hi all, I'm Sandra and I'm from Sweden. Please call me Liz though. I'm 22 years old and usually work with planning events such as festivals and concerts. At the moment I'm in between jobs though.
I've been on Gaia since February 10, 2005, but didn't discover the awesomeness of Fishing until the end of September, 2007. I was bored and wanted to find something to do, so I went fishing. Ended up in a fishing room of a Gambino trophy fisher, and I had a good time so I kept going fishing and looked for people on the scoreboards because they were generally nice people.
I have won 8 trophies so far: 2 Bassken bronzes (July & Aug. 08 ), Bassken gold (June 08 ), Gambino bronze (Oct. 07), 2 Durem bronzes (July & Aug. 08 ), junk bronze (Nov. 07) and Overall (Aug. 08 ).
My favourite lake is Bass'ken lake because I like how beautiful the stripers are, that it's so slow I can completely focus on something else and still reel in the fish, and the blue bass and stripers are worth a bit. I usually prefer Distance rod plus but it depends on what kind of fishing I'm doing. In Bassken I'm a better filterer with plain Distance rod, and if I'm dredging in Durem, I probably use a Strength rod plus or a Basic rod plus. smile

biggrin hi everyone! i'm jeff but most people just call me onion.either 1 is fine with me.i started gaia in oct '06 and got into fishing right away.i've competed several times but so far i've only won 2 bronze trophies,both in bassken.the first 1 i'll never recieve cause my original account was wrongly banned (accused of botting with a score of only 75k rolleyes )
currently i'm the acting captain untill sandy returns which i'm hoping will be very soon.this month i'm mostly fishing in 'bino trying to stay on stats and improve my skills there razz my favorite lake has to be gambino because i really like the fish and the speed there.
i'm 1 of the oldest members in the guild and i work as a chef in a pretty nice restaraunt.due to a nagging back injury which never fully healed i only work around 30 hours a week so i still have time to fish but lately i've been having trouble concentrating on just fishing.........i tend to be easily distracted these days cry .my favorite rod is distance plus in gambino,basic plus in bassken,and strength plus in durem.
also i love music,playing guitar,making new friends,and Ohio State football & basketball GO BUCKS!!! lol oooooops i live in ohio in the USA.

I'm Virt or Votre or honey bunny or Casanova or ... well anything you wish to call me by. lol. I work as a comedian in a pro theater company and the other half of my time in a hotel near Paris (something has to pay for the bills, hehehe) as head of Reception or manager. I mostly work nights so I have ample time to play, lol.
I started Gaia last year I think around november. I wasn't really into it and was mostly spending time in a guild called AGA, which I love and then in february or march this year, I discovered fishing. And I loved it. I ran a few times, got bronzy in Bino in march or april, finish 4th I think. I'm not a pro fisher but I just got addicted to it. This month I'm trying my luck at junk trophy but seem to be lagging behind a mexican girl who fishes nearly 24h00 a day and a probable bott.
I change rods many times depending on what I want to do. My fav all round lake rod is Perf+ and I don't like strength. I get too many dead-casts with this one.
I love fishing irl and soooo many things !

Oooh nearly forgot but I'm French ... got a problem with that ? LMAO !
I'm not nationalist at all but I feel that on Gaia Europeans are under-represented so that's why I did my pro the way it is. Loooove the universe !

Where do I start... Oh, my name is Eirika and I live in Australia but I was originally born in Japan. I'm currently 18 years old and in my final year of school.
I started fishing about a few weeks ago since I didn't have much to do and puzzles was starting to bore me alot. I got interested into it and basically continued with my fishing endeavors to this very day, hopefully trying to fin a few trophies on the way.
Since I'm sorta new (A month old), I haven't won any trophies but as before, I am willing to win a number of trophies in the future.
Well, even though I only fished in Bass'ken lake for a very long time, I find that Gambino seemed to be the best place for me to fish since I can filter there alot better, even though I just learn how to filter properly. I currently use a distance rod but I often use a strength rod plus as well since I seem to loose grip at when the fishies are close.
