Ok so here goes .. My artist is just starting out .. like she has a lot under her belt for only have been doing this for a year LOL trust me she has a lot ..

So here goes the first tatt I had her do was my pride piece which i did in one sitting .. no breaks .. well other then to get her to stop so i could laugh

the second piece is my in progress one now since it is sooo detailed and this is her first super detailed piece I am telling her to do it in sittings .. that and my pain tolerance is s**t oh and the fact that I am a HUGE bleeder..

***slips back to past tats**

my first one on my lower back i bled a little... second one on my lower back i bled a bit more....this one on my leg is bleeding a lot more each tat done a year part .. hemophilia runs in my family so i am not too worried about that

**gets back on topic LOL**

So far we have done a rough outline in one sitting that took 1.5 hours

the good outline 2 sittings 2 hours 45 mins

some of the black and some of the shading and a few touch areas so that the good outline is perfect 2 hours 50 mins

Now all that is left is the shading and color

my questions are

    Are You a Bleeder?

Do You Like Sittings or All at once?

    Your Longest Set of Sittings?

surprisingly, i'm not much of a bleeder, considering that i have very thin skin and can bruise randomly.

i prefer to try and get the whole tattoo done in one sitting, just because its a pain in the a** for me to let it heal and walk around with a work in progress during that time.

my pin-up girl on my leg required two sittings because my tattoo artist insisted on filling in the whole body with flesh colored ink vs. just leaving my skin to show through, and i'll admit that she certainly does stand out on my leg more. first sitting took 3 hours, second sitting took about an hour and a half.

my first tattoo was only an hour, second was 2, and the third was 3. Funny how that worked out, eh? I didn't break until my third because it's a decent sized piece on my ribs, so I had a 10 min break.

For my sleeve, my first sitting was 5 hours, had a few breaks. My artist took more pee breaks that my smoke breaks. Tonight I go for a 6 hour session, 6-12am. I worked this morning 8-2, so I'm sure I'll be taking breaks xd

I don't know how my bleeding compares to others, but I definitely bleed. And I prefer longer sessions. Now I'm hooked on big pieces!
I doubt I'll ever get another small one. They ruin the options if you want a larger piece later on. You could have a bunch of small ones patch worked together with a background... but those aren't that great.

i've not had a lot of big tattoos done yet so i can't really say a whole lot aside fro the fact i prefer to get as much as possible in a sitting..when i got nmy lower back done it was almost all i could bear...2-2 1/2 hours of intense pain..

i'm ot really much of a bleeder...i've noticed some blood on the flames onm my left arm but it was nothing more thanm say..i'd get cutting myself shavig

So far, only my newest one is being done in different sittings, but I think I prefer to do it all at the same time. As for bleeding, I don't. I had a small drop of blood on my newest, but that's it.

OKAY back from the shop. I asked my artist how my bleeding compares to others, lol. He laughed and said I don't bleed. I only ended up having a 4 hour session tonight, as he was up all day tattooing. 3 more in a few weeks.

My head tattoo barely bled at all.
Only a little bit around my ear and neck.

I have rather thick skin, so I don't bleed a lot. Mostly just on thick shading. So far I haven't had a tattoo that needed more than one sitting, although the flowers on my shoulder came damn close. XD

Apparently I'm not a bleeder. My foot didn't even bleed much, which really surprises me because I can see almost every vein in my body. lol

My body takes forever to heal, but it does it in a very nice way. >w<

And I've yet had a tattoo that took more than one sitting. [I have rather small tattoos.] But I have plans for larger tattoos, so I assume they would take some time. I'd rather just go through it once and sit there for a while.

EDIT: Ok, so I'm thinking about this, and I think that there's a tie between how the artist tattoos and how much a person bleeds. I mean, if someone over tattoos one spot what happens? Doesn't it scar? And is it possibly that the over tattooing would lead to more bleeding? It's just an idea, and I don't think that over doing it happens too often because tattooing is a more regulated business nowadays.

How did it heal? Head's don't typically heal very well, from what I've heard.

Damn mine feel so short now. I have a lot of small ones that took less than an hour, my biggest so far though needed 2 rounds. 2 1/2 hours the first time but my skin was too swollen to go back over the parts that already got hit so I came back for another hour to finish those up.

Im starting my half sleeve in 2 weeks though so who knows how many sittings that will take.

As for bleeding.. My first few I dont remember having much of a problem but the last few my friends and whomever was watching were all "LYKE OMGZ YOUR HXC BLEEDING AHHH" soo.. *shrugs* Idk if being anaemic changes how you bleed?

Apparently there was blood pouring out of my back on parts of my tattoo. Thankfully, no one mentioned it until afterwards...
The covering was also pretty disgusting (all pinky and gross) but apart from that there's been no bleeding since.

It took about an hour to do, and I just took a short break partway through to get a drink of juice. And by the time it finished, I was starting to get sick of it, and ready to sit up and stop hurting. xp
