Here there be contests. It's sheltered from storms or any other type of darkness hazard, so this place is reletively safe. It's still beautiful, but the cave to get to Rustburo is less then mandetory. The town's folk warn you to stay away from it.
Here is where you can find other contests: Slateport Fallabor Lilycove
Now, if you hear a high pitched screech that steadily get's louder, I suggest you run. FAST. The little Whismur aren't so little anymore and the fog around the cave has decided to take on a nice shade of violet....you know what that means. The Shadow whismur have a new attack called 'Black Scream' which it basically a mix between a super sonic and a hyper vioce..only stronger. People who come here are probebly on their way to Rustburo...I say good luck to them, you crazies.

Sunlight filtered through the curtains and fell across the floor in a thin, golden stripe. It wasn't close enough, however, to awake the small figure cocooned in blankets. She turned occasionally, muttering in her sleep and once even started to flail her arms at something out of reach. There was no sign, however, that she was having a bad dream. As the digital clock next to her bed blinked 8:25, the sound of knuckles rapping across the door sounded throughout the room, yelling for her to get up. Yuki jolted awake, looking around with the post-dream look on her face, ignorant of her mother telling her to wake up. Tossing her ruffled black hair over her shoulder, she went over to the door and opened it abruptly, causing her foster mother to accidently hit her on the head. Yuki stumbled as she was hit, knowing it was unintentional, but she was to lazy to yell that she was awake.
"Ah! I'm sorry!" Yuki's mother cried, immediantly jumping back. Yuki shook her head, and the young woman laughed in relief and bounced off. Today was a big day, Yuki thought as she locked the door to get dressed. She wore her traveling clothes today. A blue tank top with a black collar, and a red skirt, and a white hat to top it off. Normally, she would have instinctively gone for her closet, which was home to the many cosplays that she loved, but today she didn't know what the unstable climate would bring in the other towns, especially since she was going to Littleroot. Proffesor Birch needed some sort of herb, according to her mother, and Yuki was going to be delivering these exotic and rare herbs. Thanks to Whimsur, she wasn't going to be going anywhere near the tunnel, which long ago, would have served as a shortcut to Rustoboro and beyond. Yuki's stomach churned for the journey ahead, but motivated herself. She would participate in a contest when she got back. A contest where Eneko and Chiisai would dress up all pretty and woo the judges, while getting a chance to show off their skills.
The only thing that was troubling her now was the dream she had had last night. Every night since she was little, she had been having strange dreams where she was a Mawile, running through the caves of Iron Island, an island home to Iron Pokemon and close to her birth region, Sinnoh. The dreams were so vivid, and every experiance she had was so real, that it felt as if she were someone different in her dreams. She even had friends in her dreams. They would hunt for hidden items, ambush trainers passing through, and explore everything. If only her life was actually like that. When Yuki moved, she had to leave all of her friends behind: her childhood friends in Twinleaf Town, and the friends she had made in the Academy she was staying at. Now she had no one except for her family and her Pokemon. There were fewer children her age in Verdanturf, and she was to shy to talk to them.
Looking out the window, Yuki was greeted by a blast of fresh morning sunlight. She blinked back the rays and looked into the garden near their house. There, playing and battling, were her to other Pokemon whom had worked the hardest during their time at the Academy. She had decided to let them rest for a while, and keep up their training in the village. They had made very good friends so far: the trainers' Pokemon, the little kinds whom they babysat, the local Nurse Joy+Chansey, and so on. Yuki was a bit jealous, she admitted silently, as she wrote down her latest dream, grabbed her bag and two Pokeballs, and headed out her bedroom door. Today was going to be a very long one.
((I'll continue this later.))

Tsuki wandered about, still trying to find her way back home, but fairly much unable.
Everything was so different.. But Tsuki quicky saw this place was a lot better off than the other places she had seen. It was protected... maybe she would stay here, just a little bit.
Prancing through the flowers she went to look for some berries, tattered white ribbon waving gently as she looked around the city. It had been a while since she had last eaten....

In the distance an Absol was enjoying the beautiful day that was so rare in Hoenn. He lounged in the grass, purposefully delaying the journey that he had set for himself. He knew he needed to get going, but he really didn't want to. It was just so nice here!

Yuki opened the front door to get a blast of the fresh Verdanturf air. To tell the truth, she was absolutely dreading this errand. Not because she didn't want to travel this far, but because of what lay outside the safe haven that she lived in. She had heard terrible rumors from travelers when she was inside the Pokemon Center, and had hoped that they were all fake. But hearing them more than once just made it once, so she ended up trying to avoid the Pokemon Center in general. As she looked around, though, Yuki knew just by looking that anyone could enjoy love this place. She could see an Absol basking in the sun in the distance, and the the milky blue tail of another Pokemon hopping around through the flowers.
Never having seen a tail that color before interested the young trainer. She followed the tail on the outside of the garden and knelt down to watch it go. Was that a Skitty tail? It looked so, but they were supposed to be pink...Yuki refrained from calling out to the strange Pokemon lest she scare it, but if it was a Skitty, maybe Eneko could try talking to it. Silently she unhooked Eneko's Pokeball from her belt, and clicked it open. In a flash the kitten Pokemon was stretching on the grass, rolling around and grooming herself. It had been a long time since Eneko was able to relax; she mewled in pleasure and felt the wind caress her fur. Yuki mutely pointed towards the tail in the flowers, and Eneko whined a bit. She wanted to play more. But maybe she could make a new friend! Immediantly the little pink Skitty tumbled into the fragrant grasses and began to play-stalked the other Pokemon.

She still couldn't find any berries! The grass smelled so good, but there weren't any berries anywhere! Some tears came to the skitty's eyes, remembering life at the Berry Masters.... she realy missed them.... Then, suddenly her ear twitched, catching a strange sound.
She turned around, though a little hesitantly.... Was there someone following her?

Yuki watched the blue Skitty stop. Did she sense their presence? Oh well, might as well let Eneko call out to her. She wanted to remain the spectator for a little while longer. Eneko stuck her head out of the grass with a questioning look on her face, and Yuki cupped her hands to her mouth, signalling her to call out. The determined Skitty nodded, and disappeared back into the grass.
"Skiii!" ((I've never seen a blue Skitty before! Are you from around these parts?)) Eneko called out jubilantly. She waved her tail in greeting. If this was some sort of new Pokemon, she wanted to be the first to know. Obviously she didn't need to know why this Pokemon was here; if it was Verdanturf, then it was rather obvious. It would be a miracle if they came in through the tunnel that lead to Rustoboro, but that question could wait until later.

"" Tsuki replied, a little hesitantly, sadly. She seemed thin, underfed... Her small paws suddenly decided to supporting her. "" She asked, trying to force herself back up to her feet.

Eneko gapped when she saw how thin and underfed the Skitty was. She thought she could even see some of the Skitty's ribs showing. In comparison, Eneko's fur was sleek and she was well fed and strong. Feeling a little guilty about the difference, she shook it away and called out to her trainer. If there was one thing true about this Pokemon, she needed their help. "Skiii! Ski skiity!" ((Yuki! Do we have food?!))
Yuki tilted her head to one side curiously. Food? Like berries, or even herbs? Spreading the grass apart, she was shocked at what she saw. It was a blue Skitty, all right, but it looked like it hadn't seen a decent meal in many weeks. "Ah....Uhm....We have food..." Gingerly scooping the underfed Skitty into her arms, she stood up and started back towards her house with Eneko at her heels. It wasn't to far away, but when she went to open the door the doorknob turned and a tall boy with ruffled brown hair and green eyes popped out.
"Yu? What're'y doing back home?" he asked, scratching his head. His Pokeball were on his belt, all six of them. Off to battle, Yuki assumed. There was no need in lying, the girl decided.
"This Skitty needs food. I'm sure Mom would understand. What do we have in the fridge?"
"Uh...I dunno, Catnip, Peppermint, Passion-flower, Pokeweed, Poppy Seeds, Feverfew, and Dandelion if you need herbs--Mom's out getting more--and for berries we have a pretty wide variety left over from those crates we got a few weeks ago. Some other food as well, I guess." Having recited everything he could remember that was in the house and edible, Yuki's brother walked off towards the town's exit.
Walking into the house, Yuki found that her brother did list everything in there. There was more than enough to feed the hungry blue Skitty she and Eneko had found.
"Here," she said, setting down a bowl of assorted berries. "You can eat this, and then Eneko and I have to hurry out of here. We have an important delivery to make..."

((Awsome, I know those herbs. Do you practice Herbalism?))
Lucky hadn't been paying all that much attention to the activity going on nearbye, although he hadn't really expected to see a blue Skitty pop out of the grass. He hid a little when he saw the trainer appear, but when they left he stood up. He kept his eyes trained towards where the trainer had gone, his tail standing up, his eyes focused.
"I wonder what's going on...interesting human..." He muttered to himself.

((Ah! I recognize those too. Catnip does the exact opposite effect to humans as it does to cats. Also, when you brew it in a tea, it's good for upset stoughmachs.))
Tsuki's eyes shined, looking at Yuki. "" She exclaimed before digging into the bowl of berries. Hunger outstripped sadness, as earlier, she wondered if she would ever be able to eat a berry again earlier, when the garden had first been attacked. Apparently she could.
She quickly finished off the bowl of food, feeling much better.
"" Tsuki thanked again gratefuly. She looked a lot more lively now at least.

((No, I don't really know anything about herbs; I just looked them up on Wikipedia ^^; But herbs are kinda Yuki's family's profession; she's just kinda like the delivery girl :3 ))
Yuki smiled gently; she was glad to see this newcomer in good spirits and well fed, after seeing her fur hanging off her in the garden outside the house. "You're welcome," she said. Then she remembered: she had never seen this cat before. Perhaps she could lead Yuki and Eneko to Littleroot Town? "You look like you've come a long way...Do you know the safest and fastest way to Littleroot?" she asked.
Eneko sat there and watched Tsuki devour the berries. She ate faster the Sakana, for Arceus's sake! "Skii skitty ty skii?" ((So what's your name, anyway?)) she asked. If Yuki really was going to have this Pokemon travel with them, or at least show them a safe route, they needed to know who she was.

"" She replied. Well.. that was the name she had been given... had she ever had a name before that? She wasn't sure.
Littleroot? Ah! The river had swept her there the first time, hadn't it? Well... it had been that town north of it, and she had wandered there. Then to get back....
"" she said, thinking it over. She had caught a ride from a pokemon on the way back...

"Yeah! Awesome! Can you show us the way? I have to deliver something to Professor Birch." Yuki was excited at the thought of a safe water-bound passage to Littleroot Town. On land, it might be a little more difficult, given that there were vast forests and dangerous Pokemon there, but Tsuki certainly knew the land. Eneko, on the other hand, wasn't even paying attention; she was attempting to get some of the Catnip down from one of the shelves. Her mouth watered as she mewled playfully; she kept on falling backwards but continued to leap up at it, batting her tiny paws at the irresistable ((sp?)) plant.
