With a wide grin on her face Yugure trotted slowly away from the noodle shop with Yoake by her side. Only a few moments ago they had met and now they had a day at Saspra's. If no one was home then they could have a peaceful day. She turned around to smile at Yoake then turned back around. Saspra lived right across the corner very near the noodle shop. The house was painted a moderate sky blue color with a yellow roof and a small balcony also in yellow. It was a plain house, but the size was almost that of a mansion.
Yugure paused at the door for a moment and opened it gingerly then took a step in. She looked around then called in a very sweet soft voice, "Anyone home?" There was no response and she was convinced they had a day to themselves. She led them through rooms and doors until they reached the backyard.
The green lawn was freshly mowed and small pink flowers scattered the field. She smiled and announced cheerfully to Yoake. "Well here we are~ What do you think?" Without waiting for a response she bounded gracefully over to the small pond and peeked into it looking at her reflection.

With a smile on Yoake's face, he followed Yugure from the Noodle Shop where they had just met. Inside it had been stuffy, full of strange foxes and stranger odors. Here it was quiet and warm, sunny and generally, over-all pleasant. A finer day he couldn't ask for. He and Yugure had met, talked a little, and she had invited him to Saspra's house to swim. The young fox gazed up at the mysterious Saspra's house. It seemed like a nice place to live, he decided as Yugure scouted for anyone at home. "It's nice!" he said in response to her question. "I like it. So is anyone home?" He wondered what Saspra was like; Geyser was a little crazy and could be rather unpredictable at times--was Saspra like that?
He padded through the soft green grass, carefully stepping over the flowers. "Very lovely," he added.

"Thanks~" Yugure said happily. "It can get pretty chaotic when EVERYONE's home though. I don't think so. No one answered so... Yeah~" She said muttering the last part a little. She didn't want to add that if someone were home and planned on sneaking up on her she'd have hurt them. Bad. "The main cause of this chaos is Saspra. She's like a mad man or woman in this case." She said with laughter in her eyes. Saspra was more than that. She was a little over the deep end if you get my gist.
Yugure couldn't help, but giggle as she saw Yoake walk carefully over the flowers. "You don't have to do that." She said with a teasing manner. "Starpelt won't mind unless you purposely step on them." She said with a smile. Starpelt would just grow these flowers randomly. Yugure still didn't know why though.
"So are we just going to sit here all day or swim?" She said breaking the silence and shooting him a broad grin. Finally she'd have someone to swim with! The rest of her "Family" didn't enjoy swimming as much as she did.

Yoake laughed. "Yeah, it's like that at Geyser's house, too. I live with...four? Spartans, and they're always off doing their thing, or arguing, or threatening each other...Fogstep's okay, though, if you'll excuse his occasional peculiarity--he likes to eat rabbits, and he natters on about dead warriors in the sky at the full moon and suchlike." He didn't mention Geyser's own brand of insanity and her selective memory. "I wouldn't want to bring a friend home, I think; to strange in our household, and Geyser herself is a bit of a maniac and would probably giggle maniacally."
He continued to avoid stepping on the flowers. With a name so vaguely similar to Fogstep, he felt that there might be some connection to the older fox's little oddities.
"Oh, I'll be swimming!" he smiled. With a running start, he cannonballed into the pond, raising up quite a splash. He pushed his head above water and grinned bashfully. "Sorry!" he said with an apologetic grin. "Didn't mean to splash you."

Fogstep... Starpelt... Interesting. "Those random armored guys? We have three living here. They're all nuts for all I care." She shrugged off the part about Fogstep and Starpelt. It seemed that they both talked about the same things and had the same kind of name. Strange.
She watched Yoake step carefully around the flowers still and couldn't resit a giggle. He was a strange boy. Most other boys she met were well... Odd, crazy...
Yugure jumped a little and gave him a mock glare followed by a reply. "You better watch out!" She called and with that she jumped into the pond in "Cannonball" formation and sent water in every which direction around herself like a ring of water.

Yoake gasped and giggled as a vast wave of water engulfed him. Yugure was quite good at making a big splash! "Wow!" he laughed. "That was a big splash! Most of the other foxes don't like swimming," he added. "I like having a friend who likes to swim like I do." Playfully he flicked a paw and splashed Yugure, then dove to the bottom of the pond before she could respond. The cool water felt good against his fur, and beneath the surface the light from the sun rippled and swayed like trees in the wind. Unable to hold his breath any longer, he swam to the surface and took a breath of air. "Wow," he said again, smiling at his pretty new friend.

Yugure smiled and dived in after him after he splashed her. She swam after him until he reached the surface of the pond again. She only had one other friend who enjoyed swimming as much as she did. "How about we play Tag?" She asked happily shaking some water out of her ears. The pond water was so calm today. It was as if even Mother Nature was celebrating the start of a new friendship.

"Sure!" Yoake said. Something about today made him want to grin the whole time. He reached out on paw and touched Yugure on the shoulder. "You're it!" Not moving so slowly as to easily allow her to tag him back, but not so quickly that he left her too far behind, he swam to the other end of the pond. It was calm and quiet, but then, Yoake thought, maybe all ponds were like that. She was lucky, he decided. "You have a really nice place to swim!" he called out to Yugure. "I usually swim in the river on which Geyser lives, but I can only swim in the shallows and I can't go without an adult watching, just in case I get washed down river. This is much nicer!"

Yugure giggled as he tagged her. "I know isn't it. Well it's safe here except for the occasional fish biting you." She said humorously. She swam after him. He was wrong to go easy on her and to underestimate her. She swam with full speed towards him and flicked his ear with her tail. "You're it!" Yugure shouted as she swam away purposely kicking up water into his face. This was nice. To have a good time in the pond with someone her age. Normally foxes she met didn't like swimming. And Death, the only one she knew that was her age wasn't what you call "Nice".

"Fish?" Yoake asked, suddenly alarmed. He didn't notice Yugure tagging him as he looked down in the water nervously. Fish...weren't fish those big things that Geyser hung on the wall, full of teeth and muscle? He had climbed into one of those things once until she had warned him of their reputed voracious appetite. The thought of one of those monsters in the pond terrified him. "What sort of fish? How big? I don't see any?" If he had stopped to think he would have been embarrassed, but he couldn't help but remember rows of serrated teeth hung on the wall.

Yugure almost drowned laughing, but she hoped that he hadn't noticed. She put on a shocked face as real as she could get and pointed behind Yoake. "Sh-sh-sh-shark!" She screamed and scrambled out of the water hoping that he would fall for the trick. Luckily for her there was a piece of the leather in the pond the shape of a shark's fin. It would most definitely add to the effect of the "Shark Attack". But back to reality the only fish in the pond were koi fish that would only n** at your behind. They wouldn't leave wounds, just tickle a bit.

Yoake watched the look of horror on Yugure's face as she stared at a point behind him. He whirled around to see something leathery and triangular. His first reaction was to yelp and run away, but something bid him stay. He couldn't let a shark live in a pond where kits might get attacked! "Yaaaaah!" he screamed, lunging at the "fin" and biting it hard as he scratched and flailed at it. It tasted filthy in his mouth, mud and less pleasant things coating it. As he flailed and treaded water, something occured to Yoake; there was no fish attached to the "fin."
Yoake spat it out: leather. It was just an old piece of leather. He grinned. "Just a piece of junk, Yugure!" he chuckled. "You can come in." He dragged the junk out, leaving it on the side of the pond, ignoring the large koi brushing him on either side.
