My sister was watching Paranormal State in the basement when I got home frome work one day. I sat down and watched it with her. It seemed interesting. That episode ended, and another began. It was a marathon, I guess. While watching this episode, I began to get cold. Sure, my basement is always cold, but it was a warm day and I hadn't felt cold before. I didn't think that the temperature had changed outside. Then my eyes started watering, like they would if I were crying. It was so weird because there was no reason for it. I mentioned it to my sister and she turned around with tears in her eyes too. She was getting the same cold feeling and watering eyes.
It turned out that the paranormal things happening in that episode weren't really paranormal.
We turned off the TV and went upstairs to cook food. Another episode was on, so we turned on the TV in the upstairs living room and sat in there until it was time to flip the food (fish and chips, to be exact). So after ten minutes my timer went off and my sister went to flip them over and put the food back in the oven. When she got back into the living room she told me that she had felt like something had grabbed hold of her leg and had been pulling her back/down.
Once we had both sat back down in the living room we heard a bang from the kitchen. We're home alone - what is making that sound? Getting up to look, I saw that an the silicone oven mitt had been knocked off of the back of the stove. If it had fallen on it's own it would not have landed so far away, so someone, or something had moved it.
Another ten minutes of watching TV and I went to get the food. I felt a little resistance in the air as I walking toward the stove, but I just thought to myself: "I'm hungry and no little ghosty is stopping me from getting my food!!" And whatever resistance I had felt disappeared.
It was kinda weird, as there is rarely any paranormal things going on in my house. This is what makes me wonder (and perhaps could use this as an assignment/research project? I'll post this later) - Is it possible that there is more paranormal activity when watching a show about the paranormal? When talking or typing about it? ( I feel like I'm being watched! It's so creepy! gonk Plus, I have another tale to add proof to this theory, which can be added in another post.)

It seems very possible that while you are thinking of the paranormal, you are more receptive to it. Whenever I'm writing or thinking about spirits, the air around me starts to change. If I write about something specific, then that something specific usually presents itself. If I'm writing about different ones that make me uncomfortable, then some most uncomfortable things start happening around the house. I wonder if, in thinking about it, you are actually giving energy to those currently around you. Concentration does after all direct your energy.
An interesting theory you may want to try, maybe thinking about them positively will make you more receptive to positive spiritual experiences. Druids believed that in the spirit world, likeness attracted and opposites repelled; very different from the physical world.

That is an interesting idea. And very possible, too. I can't remember much about the feelings - other than a bit scared and curious post-activity - that were present during the times when stuff happened.
I said I would post about another one...should I post here or another topic? It relates.
My sister and I were talking about dreams she's had, about her being so angry that flames appeared in her hand one day (kinda scary, I wish she'd hurry up and join this guild so that she can post her own experiences!! I've only sent her the link 3 times...she's just slow, I guess.), and some other stuff, when we heard a sound in the kitchen. We were in her room, which was a cross from teh kitchen, and so going out we found a small bronze cat in the middle of the kitchen floor. Picking it up, I looked around. "Where was this?" I asked her. She pointed at the shelf, which was a good three steps away, at least. I don't mean small steps either. it was on one of those shelves and ended up on the floor in the middle of the room. Or darn close to the very center, at any rate.
As I mentioned, I don't remember the emotions going on, but yeah. And thanks for that info on feelings, I might just go adjust my assignment now.
