What different ways does everyone utilize Tarot? Do you sometimes use them completely out of context for something even?

I used them for inspiration for the first banner/picture I made while thinking of what to draw.

Nope, just divination. I'm aware of the "story" of the Major Arcana... it's of some use when interpreting the cards, but for the most part I ignore it. It may be the enlightenment of a soul, but it's from a particularly Christian perspective and thus the story doesn't really... mesh with my worldview.
Besides, both of my packs are Pagan. wink

I've gotta be honest here, I don't know about a Story with the tarot. I know they may correspond with the sephiroth though.
I was giving a friend a reading the other day, and just thinking about how one specific card was to be translated (Art, or in most cases, Temperence) gave me a ton of insight as to what I was doing wrong, especially with shadow work, which has greatly excelled since then, and since a certain conversation I had with a good friend. I'm wondering if I shouldn't draw a major arcane every day to meditate on just to see how it applies to me.
