I used to get uncomfortable when I saw this card, but now it is my absolute favorite. I used to think it meant misery, but that's just a silly societal notion that accompanies the word death. Seriously though, I get VERY excited and hopeful when I see this card pass through my hands.
Anyone else share that bizarre adoration for Death?

Tsual, the card "Death" refers to a metaphorical death. It is the end of something and the beginning of something else. In most cases it's a positive card.

Yes, new beginnings are very exciting. Maybe that's why I'm so fond of the Phoenix. It's just, when things feel like they've reached a standstill, that card is a tall glass of water.
