I had a dream last night and I am struggling to recall all of it. It was very weird, and like most of my dreams I woke up in a sweat. I swear I must be fighting in all of them.

Last night, I can't remember what started it but my boyfriend and I were in his car with his dad. It was raining and we pulled into a Canadian Tire store. While my bf and his dad walked into the store, I stayed in the store. My boyfriend had left his window down and the door unlocked, something he never, ever does. While they were still walking toward the store, a man stuck his head through the window. I can't remember what he said, but I grabbed the keys out of the ignition (no idea why they were there, another thing my bf would never do) and tried to stop him from entering the car. He leaned over me and hit a button on the steering wheel that happened to be on my side of the car (two steering wheels?). This set the car rolling, and I desperately searched for some kinda of brake. Well, we both were able to get out of the car, somehow...and wound up in the store...which transformed into the convenience store where I had worked for the past year and had only quit a few weeks ago.
In the store, the man followed me. This part gets a bit blurry, but he had friends and were annoying me or fighting with me, my bf showed up and there was a fight. Somehow, this man that started it all transformed into a guy who had been in my class over 5 years ago, and had started a fight with someone in my group of friends 2 years ago. That in itself is strange.
After the fight, he stuck around the store and I decided o look for something yummy to eat. I went over to where the store-owner keeps the Vachon snacks, granola bars, etc. There was nothing but some homemade muffins and two apple cinnamon cookies/cake things. So I grabbed one of those and looked to see what pop he had, and then I woke up.

Now, I highly doubt a book on dream analyzing will tell me what this guy showing up in my dreams and attacking me means, or why my bf did so many things that he would never do in real life.

My interpretation: My boyfriend will do something unexpected today/in the near future, and it could possibly turn out for the worse. As I said, fights occur often in my dreams so it may just be a re-occurring theme which might have a book explanation. And lastly, I’m hungry. I eat, and eat, and am still hungry. This happens during the day, so why not dream of looking for food? Especially yummy sugary food which I love even though it’s bad for me? I’m going to buy healthy crackers today, so I can stop eating cookies.

I don't suppose anyone else could shed some light on why I am constantly fighting, or any other meaning in this dream? Or if I'm just a fool for thinking dreams contain meanings?

I don't think you're a fool at all for thinking that dreams contain meanings. About all of the fighting in your dreams, do you feel that you struggle in your life often? If you feel uncomfortable answering this here in the guild, feel free to PM me. 3nodding

I don't know about struggle, though there are all sorts of kinda of struggles. I guess I am struggling a bit. I need to get my driver's liscence(sp?), and my parents are pushing me to get it, and....I'm scared of cars. Like, being uptown with cars and people and stop-lights everywhere, it's just so overwhelming for someone who lives outside the city like me. So you could say that I struggle with that, though I'm feeling more confident now, it is still disconcerting at times.
I also struggle with finding time to do everything - chores, hanging out with my boyfriend, other friends, learning, studying, going on Gaia and posting with friends....etc.
But can those be counted as struggles? Are they really that serious that I dream about struggling? I didn't think they were that serious in my life...well they are a bit, but not to the point where I;m stressed right out about them.

Oh, and I dreamt about food again last night. I was at Tim Hortons (for those of you who don't know much about Canada, it's the largest coffee-shop chain here). For some odd reason they had ice cream like you'd find on an ice cream cake. And I wanted the green and blue ice cream. I also got like three other things including toast with butter. Yeah, it was really weird. It included other themes like waiting a long time and friends leaving me.

Well, I'm really glad we've got this guild, because I feel right at home here! For the most part, everyone who has posted so far and I've read their posts, I feel like are really nice people so I can talk to you guys ^_^ yay? blaugh

I think every dream means something, whether it means something is going to happen, or if it is trying to communicate to you something about the present.

I see everything in a dream as a symbol, and when you make it less specific, it might be easier to align the message. It is also my opinion that whichever symbols were clearer and more detailed to you are the symbols that are most significant. For example, if you had a dream about the end of the world, but before you died you saw a muffin, and it was the best muffin there ever was, then I would most definitely say the dying part is less significant than the muffin lol. All subjective though.

Also, I think sometimes your spirit, or even your subconscience (or unconscience too if you're inclined to think of things that way), are trying to tell you something. Like maybe they are trying to tell you to look at things differently, as well as a heads-up on what's to come.

Some psychologists believe that everything in your dream may be a manifestation of yourself, so if you're having a fight with someone, you're really struggling with what that person means to you, within yourself, as one possibility anyway.

Some believe that you astral project every night, and it's possible that you are visiting other planes where these things are happening.

A last note, what you felt about what was happening could be the most important thing. A tragedy just isn't a tragedy unless you make yourself miserable over it.

Hmmm, interesting! Well, I clearly remember food, anyways, so it probably means I;'m hungry. Doesn't help if I eat before bed, I'd still be hungry. Hmm, looking at it that way....Something about Tim Hortons and Canadian Tire? I wonder if there is something to do with those particular stores.....or the muffins that were there at my convenience store instead of the yummy granola bar things....like the one I bought today. nope, he didn't have muffins...oh I was gonna bake cookies tonight! Too late now. darn, that could be why....I'll think more on this tomorrow, perchance. Thank you all for the help!
