so i get to have surgery on my eyes finally to get them to stop bulging. i can't wait to look normal again. woohoo. lol.

How were they bulging? Is it called a certain thing?

i have grave's disease. which is hyperthyroid. i had my thyroid taken out. but the damage had already been done to my eyes. basically the immune systems attacks the tissue behind the eyes causing them to inflame and make the eyes bulge. i looked bug eyed. i'd look to the right and my right eye would go all the way over but left eye would keep looking straight. was really scary looking. basically they went in through my gum line and through the sinuses and cleared away some tissue behind my eyes so they could sink back in. i look normal again. i'm still healing though. eyes feel dry and scratchy and tender. my right cheek is still a bit numb but getting better.
