In the predawn hours, just after the Dance, Savith again finds himself sleepless. Drifting from his perch, he aimlessly moves down the beach, lost in his own thoughts, and move simply to ward off sleep.

If he was lucky he might have caught the two saying their fairwell's before the Wave Dancer made his way back to the deep waters he so longed for. Dancer watched the waters a bit then turned back to the rocks and climbed around a bit on them. Fire Bright sniffing at this and that as he moved about also. Dancers voice was a soft sing song as she chatted with her furry friend but still to far off to make out what she said. Still her face was a smile and she looked a bit of a mess but didn't care at the moment.

Savith's hunter sharp ears catch the thread of Dancer's voice, and he grinned lightly to himself. YOung love... He drifted closer, his scent no doubt on the wind.

She looked up when Fire Bright looked up. His nose at the moment sharper then hers as the mind was thinking of other things. The big cat lifted his head and tail as he watched Savith. It was an action of greeting as he was starting to learn who was good and who was to be watched out for. Dancer smiled as she saw Savith. Her mood was very good at the moment. "Morning Savith. What are you doing up sp early?"

"Out for a flight," the glider replied, his smile seeming reserved. "I see you had a wonderful night. I'm glad."

What could she say. Dancer looked at the water then looked at the rocks. A giggle escaped her. "Yes. Everything went as I hoped it might."

There was a soft chuckle, the sound of Savith's voice warmly bubbling it's way past his throat. "Good news, that," he replied gently, hands moving to clasp behind his back.

It's good to hear you so happy as well Savith." Dancer looked up at him as she moved about on the rocks. She had to take care as some rocks were sharp and some were slippery but in the dark fadding into light they were all a hazzerd if not taken care on.

Savith's smile droops slightly at her words, even as a faint sigh escaped him. "Forced, to be sure, but with the hopes that it won't have to be," he admits softly, drifting to float even with Dancer. As he nears and as the light continues to make it's way about, there's a fatigued tension surrounding his eyes.

She cocks her head a little at him. "Is everything ok Savith?"

Savith shakes his head lightly, a rueful grin at getting 'caught' in his features. "You and Dewpaw," he murmurs as he shakes his head. "Nothing that time won't fix, I'm sure, " he replies.

Dancer jumps off the rocks onto the sand without much of a sound or a breeze. Bending over she picks up a shell that Llune or Pey might like and smiles then glances back at Savith. "Do you mean time will fix your problem with Dew and I or you will leard to hide yourself better from us?" She grins a bit then kept walking.

Savith snickers softly, "Neither."

"Oh... Then what about Dew and I?" She gave him a look over her shoulder.

"You both worry far too much," he commented as he floated.

"I suppose it would be easier on you if everyone treated you like dirt wouldn't it? It's hard to care for people isn't it? To have them care about you and all. Not wanting to hurt someone who trusts you or has faith in you. Yes it's easier to just disslike everyone and have them disslike you." She laughed a bit as she watched the beach for things to collect. "To be ones Brother is a great demand of you I suppose. Maybe it was to much to ask of you so soon." She didn't seem sad or upset as she pulled on Fire Brights tail playfuly.

Savith merely quirked a brow at the mini rant, and shrugged in reply. He turned his gaze from the younger elfess, looking up into the sky as the clouds began to hint at bright pastels.

Dancer moved to the waters edge and walked in the surf slowly. Kicking up water here and there as the cat dove into the water and swam around. "Why make things so complicated for yourself Savith? If someone gives you something take it, say thank you and keep it safe. It's not hard really. You have had friends in your long life haven't you? Others who were conserned with why you are sad, happy or hurt somehow no?"

Savith glances out of the corners of his eyes at Dancer, "Would you like the honest answer or the polite answer?"

"A polight answer is a lie so I would always want the truth." She smiled softly at him. "I can take it. I bet you never did have a friend as you couldn't think of one truely happy moment to tell me about in your life either." Her look was more sympathetic now. "That will change though. In time as you say."

Savith sighed again, and looked back to the clouds. "One friend. One lifemate. They ended up being the same person," he replies, grinning slightly and almost chuckling at the last part. "Funny sense of humor, They have, no," he questions the sky.

"Tell me of her Savith. This one who was your friend and then your life. She must be very special to make you smile and mean it." Her gaze moved to the far off waters and she smiled with a sigh as she wondered to herself for just a moment.

Savith presses his lips together. Talk about her? Does he HAVE to? "I told you some.... I didn't remember her, when I saw her again. She'd become a Traitor, and I helped torture her, Cage her. When our souls met finally, it took some time for us to trust each other, but we'd made a vow, not to leave our child as I was left as a child. It'...worked out."

Ah something good Savith. A kind moment of joy or tenderness." She turned and shook his arm a bit as if she was trying to wake him. "Something with some feeling in it. You must feel things other then a void all the time." She let him go and pointed to the waters a bit. "When I talk of Crosscurrent it feels like I am floating in the water again with him." She closed her eyes and wraped her arms about herself. "All I have to do is say his name and his embrace tightens about me and I see his warm smile." Blushing just slightly she lets herself go and looks back at him. "Something that makes you feel like that."

"You /do/ realize that just makes it more painful to know that she's not /here/, don't you?"

She sighed softly. "I could tell you about my Father. He was a wonderful male. His joy and his smile could make all around him forget their troubles. Yes, it hurts to miss him but it does not stop how I feel for him nor does it hurt for others to know how much I though of him." Her face softened as she smiled. "I will see him again anyway so he is never tgruely gone now is he?"

Savith purses his lips. "There's a difference, though, in that when Recognized, one can feel the death of their mate. I've felt it twice. And since the Sundering, I feel like I've just been waiting for it to strike again. It leaves me unsettled and unwilling to speak of her."

"That is something I can't speak of I suppose. I have no experiance in recognition." She couldn't help but smile at the thought of her and the Fishy. "It must have ripped your heart to feel that. But to feel it twice I can't even fathom and my heart goes out to you. I wish I knew something to ease your pain. Some herb you could eat and make it all better. You should never forget them but you can't live stuck in the moment they died. It must be tourcher."

Savith laughs at that, a bittersweet sound. "The moment was horrific. The fact that I was finally free of them was a relief. And yet... I don't think I ever want to feel it again." He frowns now, continuing more softly, "I don't think I could carry on if I did... so I'm trying not to feel for her, look for her. If she... died... and I didn't feel it... but if she lived... and I can't feel her..." He stops and shakes his head, not liking where his mind is leading him. "As I said," he finishes with more strength, " I really rather not talk about her."

"As you wish then." She shows him the pretty shell she had picked up before. "I think Llune will like this one don't you?"

Savith looks over, peering at the shiny thing. "I'm sure she'll like it, and it'll most likely find its way onto something or other she'll make for us to wear."

She grins and holds it up to his hair. "OOOOOO How lovely." She giggles letting the unhappy subject drop. "Maybe she could make you a pretty headband of shells or some to hang in that long hair of yours."

Savith snorts a chuckle in response. "Doubtful. It's hotter here that I'm used to, and I've honestly been thinking about just cutting it all off... again."

"You could just tie it back couldn't you?" She chuckled as well. I wouldn't mind if Llune saw fit to make me something. I'm sure it would be lovely." She thought for a moment. "I wonder if I could get my Fishy to get me some things from the vast deep while he's out there. hhhuuuummm"

Savith chuckles faintly, "Yes. I suppose merely digging through my pack to see if I still have a hair stick would bet he best option...." As for clothes, he's not going to open his trap. Nope. Not him. Cause it's not like he's a seamtress's son, after all. Nope.

"Would you like to go for a swim? The water is nice and cool." She looks at her soggy kitty who is now shaking off on the beach. "Besides it's lots of fun."

Savith considers then nods lightly. "It would probably be a good idea," he allows.

"Woo Hoo OK" Oh that perked up the already overly happy elf. It didn't take long to be nakie and in the water herself. She was like a fish herself and splashed about happily.

It brought a half-grin to the old glider's face as he undressed and drifted in carefully himself. Ankle was still tender, and he'd put just a bit of weight on it earlier. Ah well. a soak ought to help, no?

"She made her way over to Savith with a smile. "Do you swim Savith?" She recalled the fall from the sky as well. It still made her smile now that it was over and nobody was dead. Still she remembered the lack of breath Savith felt and the fright in just a heartbeat.

"Not so well," he admitted. "I can keep from drowning right away, and can get myself to swallow water where I can stand, climb out, or fly, but really.. not much else."

"This water is salty and stings your eyes till you get used to it. Streams and ponds I have been in were not. The water is stronger here as well. In a stream it keeps moving and hardly bothers the shore at all. Here this beats on the shore like a beast trying to escape something. It almost makes it out but slips back into the vast deep again." She splashes him a bit. "When your ankle is better Dew and I can teach you to swim better if you would like. I'm sure she knows water well also."

Savith nods. "Could prove useful," he states lightly, turning his head as he's splashed.

After a good swim about she settles herself near Savith. "Maybe your Mother could make us and outfit that held the water close to our bodies while we were out of the vast deep." She laughed as she thought of how silly that might look.

Savith blinked as his mind tried to come up with something and failed miserably. "I'm... sue.. she could..."

"Maybe we should all just run about naked all the time. That would keep everyone cool." Again she laughed. "But that might make your Mother hide and never come out."

At that Savith laughed while shaking his head. "I can picture her face now..."

"You can? I would think you would never get a chance to see it through all her flustering and such." She leaned back a bit in the water. "I find it hard to believe at times that she joined with another to make a young. I bet she didn't hide from him." At that last jab she would stop. Llune was sweet and she did look at her in a Motherly way.

Savith snicklered faintly. "I can. I remember her face the times we'd go tot he grotto for a bath and there would be others there." The smile faded as he thought of his mother... not his real mother, but the only one he knew, as being Recognized. "I'm... happy for her."

"Are you? Or is that just loss that is pushing through again?" She placed a cool hand on his shoulder. "Oh I remember when I found out Llune was your Mother. It made me so angry and hurt that I thought I might never like her. Still that passed."

Savith glanced over and considered his answer. "No. I'm happy for her. She... she needed to have a child from her body, I think. She doted over me far too much." As for Dancer being angry, the glider didn't comment.

I was just jelous is all. I wanted my Mother back. Anyone back. I was happy for you though. It was silly to feel that way over her." Now she moved behind Savith a bit. If he didn't protest she would end up putting his hair in a tight braid as they talked. "So her Mothering you to much explains why you are so withdrawn. Baby bird." She giggled teasingly.

Savith doesn't protest as Dacner starts in on his hair. Her water cooled hands actaully feel good. Though the memories of Llune are happy, the frowns lightly none the less. "Don't start," he comments at the baby bird remark. "There's far too much to it for me to even begin."

Dancer laughs in that bird song laugh of hers and shakes her head a bit. "Oh I think Old Crow fits you better anyway. A baby bird is weak, helpless and cute. You. You're grumpy, moody and in no way attractive." She tugs on his hair playfuly teasing him again. In truth she found the glider to be tall and handsome but just not all dreamy like her beloved water logged elf.

Savith urfs faintly at the tug, but grins a bit more. "Good. You just keep thinking that," he comments good naturedly, "and we should get along famously."

When she was done she flicked his ear as she stood. "Stay here and I will get something to tie the braid so it stays." Moving to her things she ripped a bit of fabric from she outfit and came back. She flopped into the water making sure Savith got good and wet then tied his hair at the end of the braid. "There that might help too."
