Well it wasn't meant in a literal sense. More just saying he's incredibly awesome. Although if one wanted to play around with the thought I suppose there could be some interesting things. In the Sellswords we only get little looks at Jarlaxles past, but I seem to remember it inferring that Lolth herself wanted to use him or something and he rejected her. Yet he's still alive and kicking, and one of the most powerful Drow in Menzoberanzan. who knows? lol
Overall though he's just incredible. Amazing sword fighter, tactician, diplomat, extremely wealthy. Hell he counts Dragon's in his harem. xd

I didn't know whether you were being literal or figuritive. I didn't want to presume incorrectly. Jarlaxle is a mysterious fellow, one of my favorite characters in the series. I do want to know more about him, but I think Salvatore will just keep us in the unknown about him.

I hope Salvatore tells us more about Jarlaxle. He's not my favourite character, but he's close to it. 3nodding
But he is certainly amazing. In many ways.

I think Salvatore meant to make it so mysterious and also, Jarlaxle isn't young. He's older than Zaknafein I believe. It'd be intriguing to learn more about him, but I'm afraid Salvatore would start changing the series "history" when working with the past.

I like him too.
But I don't think that Salvatore will reveal too much of Jarlaxle. Because then he may be would be so mysterious anymore...

Well we supposedly WILL get to know more about him. Rumor has it Salvatore is planning to write a set of books about Zaknafien and Jarlaxle.
