For Sellers
1. Link to the Guild
2. Price, or price range. Will you be accepting items for this transaction, or prefer gold? *or a combination of the two*
3. Features and status of guild. This includes, but is not limited to
* How many subforums the guild contains
* Amount of gold in the Guild Account
* Status of members -- is the guild cleared out?
4. The word [SELL] in the topic title
5. A way to contact buyer/seller *Likely IM/PM*
For Buyers
1. Price range you're looking for
2. Number of desired subforums *If any*
3. The word [BUY] in the topic to show you are looking to purchase a guild.
< -What Determines the Price of a Used Guild?- >
Ultimately, this is up to the seller. However, here is a short list of things you should look for:
* The guild's ID number
Usually lower ID numbers sell for more than higher ID numbers.
* Post
Usually guilds with a high post count sell for more than guilds with a low post count.
* Gold in the Guild Account
Guilds with more gold in their account sell for more than guilds with little to no gold in their accounts.
* Subforums
Guilds with a few subforums usually sell for more than guilds with little to no subforums.
* Activity
Usually previously active guilds sell for more than previously inactive guilds.
* Whether the guild is cleaned out or not
Usually guilds that are "blank", or that have been cleared out of all topics, members, Crew members, and etc. sell for more than guilds that have not been cleaned out.

< - Sales Discussion - >
Discussions of "How much would 'x' guild be worth?", may be held in this forum. The word [TALK], should be in the topic title of the thread, to show that the topic is for discussion of this type.
< -Buying Used Guilds- >
This is when you buy a previously used guild from another Gaian. Members selling a guild that already exists may sell the guild for more or less than 20,000 gold -- which is how much it costs to create a new guild on your own. These guilds can come in many different states as well: blank and completely cleaned out; or a fully established guild with members, Crew, threads, and etc. Please make sure you know what you're looking for and what you're selling/buying when dealing with used guilds!
< -User Service Rules- >
In reguards to captains rendering their services towards other captains, there are a few rules to be followed with the advertising of these types of threads. These rules are as follows:
* In the thread title, [SERV] should be placed, indicating that you are providing a service for captains to look at and consider.
* Within the thread itself a clear explination of what service you are trying to provide, aswell as any pricing/fees that may be involved if you are trying to turn a profit from your service.
* Provide a link (if availible) to shops/threads where you can showcase your products or services to the captains.
* Provide contact information if necessary, or provide adequate forms to be filled out in your thread(s) when tasking orders for these services.
< -Looking?- >
When looking for these services, such as if you need to have a banner made for your guild, then please put [NEED] in your topic title(s).
< -Safety Tips- >
To maximize transaction safety, we have a few ground rules and pieces of advice.
These are not required, but you will find them helpful and beneficial.
* Make your agreement on the sale of the guild IN the buying or selling thread. This helps protect both the buyer and the seller in case of one or the other attempting to scam.
* For extra security, you can also quote one another in the thread so that a record exists even if the posts are edited.
* If changes to the guild sale are made outside of the thread, save the PM's or screenshot them. Again, this helps protect both the buyer and seller from scams.
* The more informative your buying or selling post is, the more likely you are to get a response of the type that you want. If you're selling, try to list as much information about the guild as possible. If you're buying and want something specific, make sure to list those specific requirements.
* For sellers: You'll make your guild more deisirable to a buyer and make less enemies if you prepare your guild ahead of time for being sold. Ie: Let your guild members know, so that those who wish to can leave the guild, delete threads that won't be needed, etc.
* For buyers: It's a good idea to follow the link provided and look at what's currently in the guild before you decide to buy it.
< -Etiquette- >
Don't scam people. If you're selling/buying a guild for an already agreed upon price, then don't go changing your mind in the middle of the trade.
Also, it's a good idea not to list your guild to sell at some completely outrageous price. You may think it's worth that, but potential customers may not.
Do not harass people to buy/sell guilds. Be polite and politeness will be returned to you!
Finally, please don't assume a member is trying scam you if they are asking for more than 20,000 gold for their guild. There are LOTS of things that can increase the value of a guild, such as guild subforums and the amount of gold in the guild account.
