Skunkworks had our first meeting of this year September 10. That's when we realized that the programmers are having a problem with the new programming equipment, the Vex team is having problems with the new kit, and we still need to make the test drive base for our ideas when the season starts. I'd say thats a pretty good way to start the year! ^^

The FTC team had finally gotten somewhere with the bot. My team (systems integration, management of Skunkworks) has started up with paperwork, which is a good sign that a lot of good things are going to start happening. We are going to start working on our business plan, and hopefully get our website and imagery team back up and running. It really stinks when the whole website team either graduates or leaves the school.
At least this is a sign that we are finally getting back up to speed after such a long summer.

935 had an unofficial meeting during the summer and a meeting in August. Since then, our Inventor kids have met every Thursday and 3D Animation on Tuesdays. Everyone comes on Wednesday.

Because only two of our 2+ year kids will be on the team next year (so many seniors!) and the rest are newbies, we dropped FTC in favor of teaching them all what they need to know for next year. Too bad. I loved FTC last year!

And I know what you mean about entire groups graduating. The only "old members" left next year will be Becky, PR captain, and little Dylan, Inventor and Programmer. They get to handle all the kids that were new this year.

And this is my second year on the team and I'm webmistress because the website crew graduated. Ugh.

It's new this year and since the new website kids are just learning code and design, they could only write some fill-in text for me.
