The headquaters seemed like a large hotel from the outside, but inside it was dark and dull. A marble floor and walls, cameras littering the cielings on every floor. Like a hotel, there were plently of rooms and floors, giving any member of the Task Force some place to stay over night. In the main entrance there were multiple, large computer screens, often occupied and blaring, now dull and black.

(Note: Aerolyn has given permission to start posting here. Yay, first RP post!)
Tom was in the lounge pouring himself a cup of coffee. Jeez, he didn't get any sleep last night- In fact, he had scarcely slept in the past few days, ever since people started dying of heart-attacks all of the sudden. It was like what his mother had told him about when he was little- just a few years before his birth, this sort of thing had been happening. Criminals dying all over the world, and by heart attacks. His mother, and anyone else he had ever spoken to about it, had said that it was all carried out somehow by a genius mastermind named Kira. Kira, Shmira, Oh, I'm tired, he said to himself in his head, and went to go sit down at one of the chairs littering the lounge to wait for the others to arrive while he drank his coffee.

Rowan walked into the room with a stack of books. "Hey, Tom. How are you?" she called out from behind the tower. "Think you could help a little?"

Looking up from his coffee, Tom saw Rowan standing there with a great stack of books. "Oh, sure, I'll help," he said, rushing over and grabbing the majority of the books from her arms. "Where to?" he asked.

"Thanks, oh so very much, Tom." Rowan said breathlessly, looking around. "You can just set them on the table." She said, pointing at the table with her head.

Xeniia "Thanks, oh so very much, Tom." Rowan said breathlessly, looking around. "You can just set them on the table." She said, pointing at the table with her head. Tom set them gently down on the table, and quickly returned to his normal alarming height. "Anything else?" he asked Rowan.

Rowan stared at him for a few seconds, "Good morning to you, too. Anyway, aren't you going to ask why I walked 4 blocks from the library with a stack of books?" she asked before setting the rest of the books near the stack Tom had said the others, sitting on a chair near it.

It didn't take Tom too long. "You're looking for information?" he narrowed his eyes, looking at the titles of the books before him, as if they would give a clue.

"Yes!" Rowan picked up a book from one of the stacks, "Did you know that about 40 years ago, there was another murderer, that killed using the same method? Yes, I'm sure you do. I wonder why no one talks about it anymore. Our killer can't possibly be the same one since they captured him a while back. But, after much digging I found out who caught him." Rowan said in one breath, before taking another one, "At first I was leaning toward this L figure, since he appeared in a lot of places, but in this one" she handed the book over to him, "It says the N was the one that caught him since L had died earlier during the case, but after some more looking around it said N died a few years ago. I thought that was sad, I really wanted to talk to him. Want a candy?"

Tom shook his head about the candy part. He was thinking, and thinking hard. Yes, this was what his mother had told him about when he was a child. She had mentioned this L guy. He had gotten caught up in it somehow, and nobody, or at least not normal people like his mother had been, knew how L had died. Of course, though, it was probably linked to the death note.

Rowan just stared as Tom left to go who knows where when he thinks, she knew better than to disrupt him, okay, maybe she didn't but she liked to think that he was like Aang from Avatar going on his spirit journeys. Picking out a book from the stack she opened it up to page 43 (random number XD) and took out a note book out of seemingly no where and took notes. Hey, she was still in school and no one else had arrived yet, so why not study?
