Description: Syric is a physically imposing figure, standing at six-and-a-half feet tall with broad shoulders and a well-muscled body. His long blond hair falls down almost to his shoulders, and his intense blue eyes seem like they could bore a hole through stone. Even though he may spend much time out in the sun, his fair skin is never burnt.
Personality: Along with his handsome, masculine looks, Syric has a dry wit and sharp mind that has won him allies and kept him alive through his long life. He has learned, through countless battles, a way of looking at things and a fighting style that is rivaled by few.
Weapon(s): Syric has retired his two keyblades, Frigid Hate and Obsidian Thorn, for more pirate-y weapons. He wields two plain-looking sabers,possibly stolen from British soldiers. Though, occasionally he will wield a golden rapier in the place of one of the sabers. He has, amazingly enough, started using pistols every once in a while.
Summons: Berserker Form: When Syric comes under great physical harm or anguish, he transforms into what some would call a monster. In exchange for his voice, his control over ice, and a portion of his sanity, Syric gains an increase in his already tremendous strength and speed. His skin turns black, his eyes glow silver, and his hair turns a shade of gray. His wounds are healed, but after the Berserker spirit leaves him, Syric collapses out of exhaustion.
Paladin Form: Adversely, when Syric is on the brink of death, but with noble intentions, Syric is possessed by the spirit of a holy knight. He loses his control over ice, but gains the ability to heal wounds. Clad in heavy plate armor, a thick blue cloak, and armed with a heavy spear and shield, Syric is able to weather much in this form. When the spirit leaves him, his wounds are healed.
Bio(Before SOTH): Syric Irash, born to a adventurous couple who died exploring the Great Glacier. Young Syric was scarred while searching for his parents, a malicious spirit stealing away half of his heart. He also lost his only friend to that same spirit.
Syric was quickly moved to Midgar, where he was housed in an orphanage. The orphanage burnt down, however, with everyone escaping except for Syric. The young boy was stolen away to a secret organization, the Assassin's Guild, where he was trained in the arts of death. After a very successful career, Syric was banished from the Guild for not following through on multiple contracts. He and his memories were separated, and Syric was deposited in Traverse Town.
Bio(Strength of the Heart): Syric, under the name of Scyre, was thrust into a chaotic conflict. He became the guardian of a princess of heart, and quickly fell in love with her. But, he also fell in love with a villainess, and was torn between the two. Syric eventually chose the evil woman, and was prepared to go against his companions. She was killed, though, by the leader of the evil organization.
Syric disappeared for a while afterward, trapped in a downward spiral of emotional turmoil. He was pulled out of his depression, and vowed revenge against the evil organization. Syric, along with the other Chasers, exacted that revenge and destroyed the Order.
Bio(Current): After the disbanding of the Chasers, Syric went on a brief search for the princess he swore to protect and his friends. That didn't last long, their trails running dry quickly, and Syric retired to a nice, small community; Port Royal.
In Port Royal, Syric Irash has carved out a pretty good life for himself as Captain of his own pirate ship, a very powerful pirate. Captain Irash steals on a whim and gives to himself and his crew, but doesn't needlessly hurt people. He hides, quite effectively, but the small port town buzzes with rumors when his gray sails appear on the horizon.
