I would have to disagree man...sorry...metallica just isn't thrash enough to satisfy anymore...overall...it was a pretty crappy album.

i say it was a really good comeback they made....St. Anger SUCKED....but this is their last mark they will leave as the kings of thrash
if u like the old Metallica listen to Trivium....they released a new album called Shogun....

SatanWarMaster i say it was a really good comeback they made....St. Anger SUCKED.... Agreed 10,000% However, I did enjoy Death Magnetic. I thought it was very good, with the exception of the music videos for The Day that Never Comes and All Nightmare Long.

I actually liked Death Magnetic, man.
I think I liked Garage Inc. The best right now, though. Most covers they do, (Especially Stone Cold Crazy, and Whiskey in a Jar) are done better than the original band, IMO.

All of Metallica's music is great, cept some of their songs and covers in Garage Inc. were kinda shitty, but Death Magnetic is a great album, showing a much better improvement after St. Anger (Although, St. Anger had some decent songs too)
If you aren't into Metallica you just aren't metal enough, or your into s**t bands that need to die NOW.

Metallica have always been my favourite band, but im just not impressed by St. Anger or Death magntic..

ChokingHalo Metallica have always been my favourite band, but im just not impressed by St. Anger or Death magntic.. ...I'm chill with all Metallica's s**t, I have no problem with St. Anger, and Death Magnetic is pretty legit. But holy s**t, the only reason people say St. Anger sucks is probably because they listen to one song, Dirty Window is pretty good, I can't say all the songs are great but some are pretty good.

Yea i think st. anger was actually pretty good i mean the band went through many changes and faults but there still good

Okay... I'm a pretty opinionated person when it comes to music, just warning you...
Metallica's one of the greatest bands... not THE greatest, but one of them... They're amazing. They're the kind of band that if they ever came up on the radio or one of their songs came up on shuffle on my mp3 player, i'd turn the volume up as far as I could. I love them. you should get the idea by now.
But then St. Anger came along.
I was listening to a metal show on the radio the time it came out and the disc jockey played the whole album. And i have to admit, I was never so disappointed about an album in my whole life.
And then Death Magnetic came along.
I listened to a few songs from it (just a few just incase it turned out as shitty as St. Anger) and I decided that it turned out better than St. Anger did, but not much.
I can listen to Cyanide from time to time, but only if someone else is listening to it. you won't catch me dead listening to that CD by myself.
So to answer your post... it sucked.
And i'm here to say... Old metallica is the ONLY way to go... new metallica is just a waste of anybody's time.
Oh, and by the way, Trivium is NOTHING like metallica (I'm agreeing with grimmreaper10 on this)

Death magnetic was the step they needed to get away from the stuff they have been doing.But in my opinion the best stuff was with cliff.
