Three stations across the United States have high security holding cells
for the most dangerous of villians. The Company have taken great measures
to ensure the saftey of the cities in which they operate. Chicago, Los
Angeles, and New York, each containing a level known only as Sector 5. The
worlds most dangerous and violent evolved humans are kept there. Some have
done terrible things, some have tired and failed. But one thing is for
sure, they will never have the chance to harm anyone again. It is in the
best intrest of The Company for these locations to remain secure.

There has been a nation wide escape from the once thought secure, Sector 5
locations. Many, but not all have escaped, from the cells that have held
them prisoners for years. Angry and filled with fantasies of revenge, they
began to cause havoc and chaos in the surrounding areas of their would be
captors. New York Station has begun to take measures of rounding up the
remaining escapees. Chicago and Los Angeles, however, have only just
started their mission.

You have two paths to choose from - will you be a hero? or a villain? You
will choose one path and play out that story. Villains will be those that
have escaped and seek revenge on those that have imprisoned them. Either
in Chicago or LA you will be the opposition to the heroes. Heroes will be
those that seek out to captures the individuals that have escaped from
Sector 5.
The villains have decided to stick together and to attack known Company
employees in the cities from which they escaped. Heroes fan out and attempt
to capture them with as little casualties as possible.

1.) Mods reserve the right to change/add/drop rules without warning.
2.) Respect. Its important, so show it to everyone.
3.) Swearing to a minimum. F-Bombs are FORBIDDEN cause I don't like the word.
4.) Romance is allowed. But thats not the point of the RP.
5.) No puppetting people. Unless its 100% needed and they say its ok.
6.) Death is allowed. But make it so where it isnt happening allot...
7.) Post often. You dont post for 3-5 days you are out. Unless you PM or lep and tell us first.
8.) Realism is best. This is more towards a realistic RP. Thinks x-men(the movies) and Heroes TV show. No aliens and stuff like that. No advance science unless you make it yourself and it aids your ability. We are all humans in this RP.
9.) You are allowed one power to begin. I do not want over powered Heroes/Villains. Advancements and add on's will be available with approval of me and Lep.
10.) Two character limit! I don't think its ok to make characters and when you are bored with them kill them off. Pick a character or two and stick with them.
11.) Format Rules. When you speak, use "" and OOC use [[ {{ }} ]] Its your choice. OOC doesn't have to be size 9. Thoughts are Italics and color. "Speech is color and in quotes" Use ** for actions and I kill you. And all of it should be in size 9.
12.) First posts. I want 2-3 paragraph MINIMUM. I want you to build a mini history and the what happens now thing.
13.) One to Two paragraphs per post. This is semi-lit folks. Lets keep it that way, that doesnt mean I am going to go murderous over some spelling errors. I am not perfect myself. But do your best to spell out all of your words.
14.) These are Changeable. So check here often.

Picture: Nobody knows who I really am
Ability: Teleportation of space and time through portals by creating shadows.
Weakness: Skylar needs a large amount of shadows to open a portal. Light can either help or hinder her. If surrounded by light, negating the ability for a shadow to form, she is powerless. If only or two light sources, she can use the shadows to her advantage.
Mini Bio: Skylar has had just about the simplest life known to mankind. Never moving a way, or visiting the areas outside Illinois, she grew up as child number two. Her childhood isn't one worth listening to, but to sum it up, she loved playing outside and being around people. To her parent's amazement, she was never afraid of the dark like her older sibling was. In fact, she seemed to prefer it. They just believed it to be child a childhood phase.
Her power never truly began to manifest itself until about freshman year. After realizing that she forgot a certain binder at home, Skylar was in a panic. She knew exactly where it was and focused hard on it. When she opened her eyes, right their on the desk, was a small black hole. Life wouldn't be fun without taking any chances. Making sure no one was looking --it helped being in the back desk-- she stuck her hand in and voila, out came her binder. She didn't say a word about it to anyone, not family, or her best of friends. She just believed that she had been dreaming and just went through life. The epiphany moment came when she was working at a small gas station just a few blocks from home. Like most gas stations, it was being held up by some punk with a gun. After taking the loot, he fired a round at the terrified girl. Putting her arms up for what little protection they offered, another portal manifested itself. This time it led to the robber's knee. That was prof enough for her.
By senior year, Skylar had been able to figure out that she could open a portal to anywhere she imagined and create items with shadows. She could speak five languages, Japanese, Chinese, French, Swedish, and Spanish, fluently --thanks to some quick trips to some countries-- and collected many souvenirs from her little travels. Still keeping it a secret to everyone, she uses it for good.

Ability: Izzy has the ability to synthesize and store the kinetic energy of herself and external objects in her body. When called upon, she can manifest the stored energy into blasts of energy by-products as they are expelled from her body. These blasts mostly consist of concentrated heat and/or light. Her storage capabilities are vast, and when fully "charged" she can use her powers for a good hour at a time before her stores are completely emptied.
Weakness: There is only a set amount of energy that she can absorb. If her stores are depleted she needs time to replenish her energy stores. By that same token, if she gets bombarded with too much energy at once her body can be overloaded and then expels the excess energy in one large blast which she expels through her whole body. This expulsion of energy all at once can be extremely painful, and when it does happen she usually falls unconscious afterwards. On a more psychological level, Izzy has a slight inferiority complex, and therefore she constantly feels the need to prove herself and her control over her powers. Because of this, she tends to be stubborn to a fault and while she will listen to orders when she has to, she likes to succeed more than "following the plan."
Mini Bio: Isabella was born and raised in Miami Florida. Her father was the CEO of the largest pharmaceutical companies in Florida, and therefore money was never scarce in her world. As a child she was slightly spoiled, but her mother made sure that it never went to her head, and liked to tamper her luxurious lifestyle with physical activity. Growing up, Isabella was part of a gymnastics team, a tennis team, she ran track in her high school and played volleyball. She is in peak physical condition from her years of training, even though she now enjoys her various sports as simply physical activity and music lessons.
At the age of 13 she competed for a spot on the Olympic gymnastics team, and would have been accepted on the team had she not suffered a severe ankle injury a few weeks into training and had to back out from the competition. Her injury occurred when she discovered her powers as she hit puberty. While on a balance beam practicing her routine, her body overloaded with kinetic energy as she performed a series of complicated tricks. The energy expelled out of her boy violently, causing her to slip out of consciousness and fall from the beam, cracking her ankle against the metal leg of the beam. In the end, however, this was a blessing because it allowed her more time to focus on her school work. She made high marks in school, and when she graduated in the top 10% in her class she went to NYU and pursued a dual degree in Business and fashion merchandising. Graduating at the age of 21 she moved to Chicago where she quickly found a job as a junior fashion editor for Chicago Fashion Magazine.
Izzy continues to develop and refine her powers in private, trying to keep them out of her business and public life as much as possible. As if right now she has almost complete control over her abilities, and has made it clear that she is willing to work with the authorities to help bring the city back to order. With the wide spread panic sweeping the city, the magazine temporarily shut down so that the higher up employees can skip town, and the rest of the staff can worry more about survival or helping with the investigation as they saw fit.

Ability: Power negation. Basically can turn off other heroes or villains 'gift' for ten minutes. It also depends on how much energy he has at the moment and how many people he's fighting. At most, as of now, he can perhaps cancel two 'gifted' persons.
Weakness: If he's ganged up by three or more 'gifted' people. Also, if his opponent is naturally better than he is without super powers. Oh, and guns and other weapons.
Mini Bio: Gavin had a relatively hard life. Although his family was well off, he himself was not so lucky. Branded a freak, and figuratively disowned, he was sent off into boarding school in New York. He lived there, learned there, and even loved there. However, even that did not last. After graduating college in criminal law, he decided to move to Chicago. He had gotten tired of life in New York, especially with what has been going on. Others like him (aka with powers) started to show up, and as much as he wanted to keep his 'gift' under wraps, certain circumstances made him reveal who he is. And with that, he then became a target.

Ability: Super-speed. He can run at super-speed and individual body parts at super-speed
Weakness: he can't move around (i.e. his whole body) at superspeed for more than 10 seconds or else his molecules will separate and he could die depending on how fast he stops. he can move his arms or legs for more than 10 seconds but not his whole body.
Mini Bio: Terrence is the flirtatious, sarcastic school jock. He is being raised by his sister Felicia who has a disintegrative touch and who works for the Company. Because of his sister's training, he was good at every sport that the coaches at school through at him and it was during his freshman year in high school, two years ago that he discovered that he could move at super fast speed. Unfortunately he had to learn his weakness one day when he was running from Company members who were trying to recruit him as part of the Company. He ran a few blocks away from the Company members and then he felt his body pulsing so he stopped immediately. He could feel his molecules separating and he was in pain. So now he has to stop and start when he runs at super-speed. One day the Company came to Terrence with very bad news...

Character Name: Miya ("Mee-Yuh") Kinney

Ability: Geokinesis - meaning that Miya had control earth and rocks. By that some token, anything with particles of sand or anything like that, she can control as well (this includes chunks of concrete, glass etc.)
Weakness: In regards to her power, Miya can only lift so much weight with her powers, meaning her control only reaches so far. If she over-extends her concentration or the range of her powers trying to control, she will lose consciousness until her mind can recover from the strain. On a personal level, she tends to do whatever it takes to accomplish her goals, even if it means cutting friends out of the way or even lying to get what she wants.
Mini Bio: Originally from St. Louis, from a young age, Miya knew she was different from the other kids, starting from the amazing sand castles she found she could build a lot easier than the other children in the sandbox. Through discovering her powers early, she was able to perfect them over the years in private (at the insistence of her parents), and now has almost complete control over them. Miya is now a sophomore at DePaul University in Chicago, pursuing a dual degree in Psychology and Journalism, as well as interning at the Chicago News Station. As of right now she is the first in her class, and is very bright. When the Sector 5 villains escaped and started terrorizing the city, she saw this as a perfect time to put her abilities to use, as well as to write some actual stories to increase her portfolio.

Ability: Acid Touch- Rafael can burn through things by touching them, but he must stay in contact with whatever object he is holding for the destruction to continue. For instance he might burn your skin if he touched you for a few seconds but to get all the way through your flesh would take much more contact.
Weakness: Rafael's ability only works through contact with his hands or feet.
Mini Bio: Rafael was raised in the company. Rafael's father knew that his son would have abilities, and since he was a Company Member he gave Rafael over to the company. Thomas was sometimes forced to play with Elle, that was until his power manifested and he accidentally killed his father. They couldn't risk him hurting Elle, so they separated the two. Unfortunately without a friend or a father, Rafael became a bit of a psychopath. He is unpredictable and dangerous, but the Company would rather have him under their thumb, then roaming around. The Company frequently uses him for torture.

Description {I don’t like pictures}: Appears as an average high-school student, although inside he is much more mature. He wears dark clothing, and is often associated with the gothic group, but denies it when he can. Along with a dark coat, and dark jeans, he wears a black pair of shades, with gelled back black hair. He has a unique eye discoloration that gave him two different colored eyes, one blue, the other green. Leo has been mute from birth (let’s make it a genetic mutation to go along with the Heroes theme), but doesn’t let the disability stop him from doing his best to help the world. He carries around a small notepad, which he uses to communicate.
Ability: Sound nullification: Can cancel sound out around him, or over an extended area.
Weakness: Completely mute, no combat training
Mini Bio: Born and raised in Chicago his entire life, Leo isolated himself away from the rest of his school and society because he was picked on throughout his life because of his inability to speak. Now a senior in high-school, he has taken to art as a way to express himself. While isolating himself in his room to paint, Leo demands absolute silence from the rest of his family. Unknown to him, his power is already beginning to manifest… {and that’s where I’ll start my epic tale.}

Ability: Molecular Recombination which means 1. He can merge with other objects, for instance a wall 2. He can take on the abilities of an object he touches while still retaining his body form (Kevin 11).
Weakness: Heat causes his molecules to vibrate so violently that he can no longer control them.
Mini Bio: Vance King is the third son of the King Family. The King's are famed throughout the UK for their vast wealth. Richard King was the creator of King Software. Vance, was the family's black sheep, and most of the family detested him causing him to become slightly unbalanced. He ran of to America when he gained his ability without telling his family without a penny to his name. When in America he tried to get into some of his family savings using his ability, but when Richard was alerted to this, he pulled some COmpany strings and got his son put into the Company. At fist Vance was meant to be a company agent but he proved too dangerous and was put into Sector 5.

Power wise: Her powers are limited to having to be in the shadows
Otherwise: rejection, will do anything to be accepted.
Mini Bio:
Her father knew of what she was capable of and had used her for many things. The power she gained through her powers had gone to her head in the worse way. Finally silencing her father she took over his Company, before she was captured herself and locked away in Sector 5. Upon her escape, what was her first thought? Return home, return to her company. And use her contacts there to search out those that had locked her away.

Ability: Animal imitation - an animal imitator may gain the strength of animal, its enhanced smell, agility, speed or ability to crawl on walls. Whatever animal they think of the most obvious ability that of that animal is gained by the person. i.e. Fish - water breathing, Grizzly Bear - Strength.
Weakness: A Good Beating? [Help me think of some ideas? i cant seem to pin-point the weakness of a person who can gain the ablities of an animal] She can only use one imitated ability at a time, if she tries for more she can strain herself to the point of death.
Mini Bio: Shania Mei Calder didnt always have it easy. Sure she grew up in one the best neighborhoods you could live in, her family was well-off. Her dad had a good job, good enough that her mom didnt have to work. Shania and her siblings attended private schools their whole lives. She was a well rounded girl, a good girl, the girl next door. Although she was a good girl something about her always seemed..off. When she played sports she always seemed "better" at everything. Better ar running, fast and agile like a cheetah. Or strong and bruteful during a football game. Everyone just thought she was just talented. And she was just more talented than people thought. She soon caught on.
As the years went on Shania seemed to become more and more "talented". She could swim like a dolphin, jump high like a gazelle, but the more talented she became the more 'off' she seemed be. She finally was reffered to as "A psycho path" by her friends. Shania finally figured it out, everytime she thought of somesort of animal, any animal she realized she gained that animals ability but only one at a time. Well soon enough the power went to her head, she could do anything she wanted to. She started robbing stores, which turned to bigger stores, to bigger ones to finally banks. She felt unstoppable. That was until they got her. They locked her up, kept her in a cage. She WAS the animal now..well she was caged. Now the story really begins.

Ability: Control over Neural Signals. Seymour controls the electrical signals in the brain. He can only focus on certain frequencies at the moment, but he's working on others. At the time, he can redirect, create, or relieve pain. He can also do a bulk overload of thoughts, which would cause them to have a piercing headache. He can also do a bulk drain of thoughts. That would simply dampen all mental processes, causing them to become very dazed, and even ill in some cases.
Weakness: All of the effects he causes are false. After he stops, the person is fine in a few seconds.
Mini Bio: Seymour, like many others, discovered his abilities out of necessity. He was picked on as a child. He would always heal his pain, but not his injuries. Eventually, he had enough. The bully moved to punch him, but suddenly collapsed to the ground in pain. Seymour's face twisted sickly. He tortured this poor boy for minutes. He finally stopped, and the boy got up. But Seymour was never picked on again. He decided not to tell his parents. Without supervision, he found it to be the cure for everything. If someone did something displeasing to him, he just tortured them. Eventually, in a lapse of thought, he caused pain to his mother when she had tried to ground him. By the end of the week, he had been taken by the company, for testing. Seymour played an instrumental role in the escape of his cell block, wanting all the revenge he could manage. Now that he was free... he wouldn't let anything stop him. He would find whoever was responsible for what was done to him, and create justice. At any cost.

Status: Villian trying to be a Hero

His body is riddled with scars from when he lost control of his powers
Ability: Black Smoke- Can create a deep black smoke that can be as solid as he wishes. He can make this smoke into any shape that he wishes.
Weakness: Rage - In the event that he loses his temper, he also loses all control of his powers and is caught in a self injuring tempest that lashes out at all that are around him.
Mini Bio: As an infant his powers manifested. Unsure of what to do, his parents abandoned him on the streets before he held any true memory of them. As an abandoned child he discovered how to use his powers, and like any lonely child he was naive about his abilities and used it to make 'friends'. This led The Company to him. Rather than speak with him, the team that the company sent after him opted to simply capture him, In a rage he killed the team, and brought their heads to the facility in Chicago. He dropped their heads on the main desk of the upper paper facility and turned himself in. Since that day he has been kept in Level 5 and is known as the only 'Villian' that could break out at any time that he wishes, but simply does not wish to. He is often seen meditating in the center of his cell. On several occasions he has fallen into fits of rage in his sleep and blown his cell wide open, but when the smoke cleared he was simply sitting in the center of his cell, meditating with no wish to escape. His outlook on the world is vastly beyond his years, and usually speaks wisely, he even sometimes counsels some of the company's team from his cell but most at the company know him simply as a 'basket-case'.

Ability: Heat Maninpulation. Svetlana has the ability to absorb heat from any marterials. When abosbing non-orgnaic materials (not living things) she must be within 10 meters of the object and must be able to see it to absorb its energy. When aborbing heat from organic materials (all living things) she must be in contact with those creatures in order to absorb its heat.
Weakness: I cannot generate heat. In order for me to give off heat (which i will eventually) i need to absorb heat from another source.
Mini Bio: Svetlana Korishkova was an extreamely poor girl in Russia. All she had ever known was that her parents had to struggle and sturggle for everything she's ever had. At age 12, she began to develop her power. Realizing what she could do, and sick of struggling, she began to rob countless petty stores of their money. She could freeze the glass even more so to be brittle and could break through, as well as the air therfore making the molecules in the air freeze over the cameras. Finding money she could see now that she could help her family. But eventually everythign changed when Svetlana attempted to rob a bigger store and was caught. As the police chased after her, strugglign she froze them all, killing them. Scared she ran home to her house. But she then grew out of the scaredness, and justifyed that she was still helping her family. The killing when on, ruthless, and not alwasy for money, but for material things. But such talk of frozen people caught the attention of the Company. And eventually came to the front door of her house when she became. Upon opening the door, Svetlana's mother was shot. Her dad attempting to protect his daughter, helped Svetlana out of a windwo where he was then shot afterwards. Tryign desperatly to run away, she hey killed both her parents. Sventlana atempted to flee, but was captured and brought to Sector 5 where she was never hurt anyone again. She's been in her jail cell for 11 years. Not knowing what it was like to grow up, tramitized and kept alone for most of her childhood. Cut off from the outside world, her vengance grew fro the company, and she swore that she'd kill them all if she were ever to get out.

Ability: Blake is your everyday Fire Thrower, although he has yet to control the power completly.
Weakness: The boy is often hungry and is easily bought over with food. Blake was never raised with morals, so he will quickly turn on you at the slightest hint you may hurt him. Finally, he isn't very strong and can't fight well.
Mini Bio: Blake was raised with no mother and no friends. His father, a drinker would often beat and strave the boy. At school, he was often teased. One fateful day, a bully pushed Blake into a row of lockers. Angry, Blake fought back. His hand smaked across his face, burning it horribly. Blake was sent home, and his father was about to punish him when Blake set fire to his fathers shirt. Confused, the grown man tried swatting at the flame. Blake gets an idea of what is going on, and this time tosses a decent fire ball. Soon after, the house is burned to a crisp. Blake escapes out into the street, where he lives now.

Mini Bio: Robert was the son of an expert pianist. His mother died in child birth, and his father was constantly expecting perfection in everything he did. Robert struggled to get through most of his school subjects, and almost flunked twice. The stress he suffered both at home and at school nearly drove him to commit suicide.
Robert's ability first manifested during his eighteenth birthday, when his father talked him into playing a complicated piece on the piano. In his nervousness, he ended up botching the piece in front of his guests. Robert and his father started a heated argument once the party was over, regarding Robert's frustration that he had been humiliated in front of all those people, and his father's disappointment at his son's poor performance. His anger caused Robert's ability to manifest for the first time, causing him to accidentally release a blast of aura, knocking his father down a flight of stairs and breaking his arms in the process.
Robert later ran away from home, and spent the next three years of his life moving from place to place until he was bag-and-tagged by company agents Julien Dumont and Sabine Hazel in St. Louis.

Ability: Haru is your everyday solar panel. He 'collects' the suns energy in the day, and reuses it as little bombs or lasers. He is strongest in the high noon, on a cloudless day.
(Bombs: Before throw, they are the size of a orange. When thrown, they explode on contact, sure to crisp up things like flamable objects (beds/computers/chairs), but not enough to tear down a stable walls, the outside of a well built car, dumpsters, ect. The explosion is quick and 3 feet by 3 feet.)
Weakness: At night, Haru can still blow up things happily, but the chance of him running out of juice is high. He never seems to make the right choice and is very gun-hoe. He is also allergic to peanuts.
Mini Bio: Haru Katoka, first off, isn't his real name. He made that up when he was young, and in crime. After spending a good part of his life in total darkness in Level 5, he is ready to make sure he never goes back.

Mini Bio: Growing up in a Christian home, Warren learned moral values before he could even walk. Although, there had always been a growing darkness inside of him, mostly because he was the nerdy kid that nobody talked to at lunch. After middle school, Warren worked out, got laser eye surgery, and dropped his nerdy ways. Starting high school, Warren was a well-toned, dark green eyed, 5’9 average guy. He is extremely intelligent though, and with the help of school, knows Spanish, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Chinese, and Russian. He almost graduated at seventeen, but decided he wanted to stay with his friends throughout his high school years.
He discovered his ability when he was in his freshman year of high school, when the captain of the football team was mocking Warren’s transformation. He kept his head down the entire time, ignoring the incoming insults. Finally, Warren threw up hand up, and without even touching him, pushed the jock up against the wall. It broke the football captain’s spinal cord, paralyzing him from the waist down. Ever since, the Company has been in contact with him, although to him, the memories are black and fuzzy.

Mini Bio: Addison is from a Southern town, her sister had the ability to age things but it became fatal.Her family tried to cover it up but Addison was still teased about her 'granny' sister. She ran away before her Senior graduation to get away from her small town. Addison isn't of legal age, but she lies and tells people she is 19. She doesn't know of her ability until the first time she uses it (You all were there). Addison is working as a waitress at a restaurant called Pizza Mia and using the name Annabel Keith.

Weakness: Elijah is not able to deactivate his ability at will; his body will adapt itself to an environment or stimulus whether he wants it to or not. In addition, Elijah's body is only able to adapt to one stimulus at a time, and may stall or cause serious physical strain on Elijah if it tries to take in multiple stumili to adapt to at the same time. Also, his body may adapt in methods that are both good and bad, such as making him temporarily deaf if he hears a loud, ringing noise, or making him unable to feel anything if he is in pain.
Mini Bio: Elijah was born to a poor family living in the crowded city streets of Brooklyn. His father made a living as a construction worker, and his mother had been sick ever since he graduated from grade school. When his father died in an accident while he was sixteen, Elijah's life went downhill from there. He took on numerous jobs, but found it difficult to hold onto any of them. After two years, Elijah received a job from the same construction company which his father had worked for before he died.
While he hadn't realized it, Elijah's ability had already manifested when his mother fell ill, allowing his body to protect itself from the disease his mother had caught, and eliminating any traces of the bacteria causing the disease from Elijah's body. It was on his first day to work that Elijah's ability manifested in a much more noticeable manner; his first day of work happened to take during a cold winter snowstorm. As he walked to the construction site, his body began reacting to the cold air and thick snow, causing his body to form a thick layer of fat beneath his skin to keep him insulated, and a thick layer of hair to sprout from his skin to further protect him from the cold. The newspaper the next day read 'Abominable Snowman Sited in Brooklyn City Streets.' Not surprisingly, Elijah was fired from his job at the construction site, but began working at a coffee shop once winter died down.
After about a year, Elijah discovered a book in the library, Activating Evolution by Dr. Chandra Suresh, which described his ability to him, allowing him to understand how it was triggered.
