[x].FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions.[x] 1. What is a Dollfie/ABJD? To be specific a Dollfie is a brand made by Volks. However this has become the common term used to describe ABJD or Asian Ball-Jointed Dolls. These dolls are Anatomically correct (in most cases) and held together by elastic string with moveable joints.
2. What is a faceup? A faceup is the makeup on a doll. This can be custom painted at home or commissioned by the company (most times) or by someone else.
3. What is an SD? SD stands for Super Dollfie. 'Super Dollfie' is a brand name from Volks. However all 1/3 size dolls are generally called 'SD'
4. What is an MSD? MSD stands for Mini Super Dollfie. This is also a name from Volks but is now widely used for 1/4 sized dolls.
5. What is the best way to hold on a wig? There are many different ways that people have experimented with. I prefer a brocolli elastic around where the headcap attaches to the head. Similiar to this are rubber bracelets depending on the size of them. Some prefer to use silicone caps which are worn over the bare head, under the wig. Others prefer a small dab of glue. And still some others like velcro. Experimenting with different ways works but beware, some ways, such as velcro are known to slip or maybe damage the wig.
6. What is a fullset? A fullset is a doll that comes in a set. Usually this doll with have clothes, a wig, eyes and extras included. Sometimes they will come in a special resin colour such as tan.
