Ah, Jhonen Vasquez, California's gothic cartoonist.
A true creator and savior of sanity.
His works, varying from Fillerbunny to I Feel Sick, are true peices of art and psychology.

What's your favourite:
-Graphic novel from J.C.V.?
-Character?
-Line from one of his books? (yes, you must censor it if it includes sh*t or f*ck)

and anything else you want to put out there.
Remember to keep the Gaia ToS and this guild's PG-13 posting rules.

Some information on Jhonen

Induces Hallucinations. Some bad. Some worse.
Known Symptoms have included various comic book works:

I Feel Sick, SQUEE!, Johnny the Homicidal Maniac, Fillerbunny

Casualties rare, but one known is an animated series:

Invader ZIM (from his second personal myspace page)

Jhonen Vasquez (born September 1, 1974), also known by his pseudonyms 'Mr. Scolex' and 'Chancre Scolex', is a cartoonist living in Los Angeles, California, United States. He is the creator of a number of alternative comics published by Slave Labor Graphics including JTHM, I Feel Sick, Fillerbunny, Bad Art Collection, and Squee!, as well as the creator and writer of the short-lived animated television series Invader Zim.

Many of the characters in Vasquez's cartoons are highly geometric and nearly thin to the point of being stick figures. The protagonists in his comics are typically insane characters who live in dysfunctional societies, and whose manias are able to speak through other objects (as with Johnny and the Doughboys, or Devi and Sickness.) His storylines tend to follow the basic 'black comedy' formula.

My favorite book was Squee. That poor, poor kid... My favorite character is probably Devi simply because she beat up Nny and I thought it was hilarious. And favorite line... Does Pepito's entire introduction count?

Finally a post!!!

Squee was a nice character, and yes- the entirety of Pepito's intro does count.

I really like Squee as well, and I think that the teddy bear was freaking hilarious, and I really liked the chapter where he was revealed to carry all of Squee's fear.

My favourite line/dialogue would have to be-
Senior Diablo: Oh, do refrain from calling me by that silly name. You people are always dreaming up new names for me.

You will address me by my proper, distinguished title- Senior Diablo.

Johnny: Will "Mr." Satan do?

Senior Diablo: Yeah, okay.

for those interested- the font in the preface of the JTHM director's cut (the one with the backwards e's) is called "ebola"

Johnny the Homicidal Maniac was a pretty interesting read. Love how insane Nny is. Squee is hilarious. I felt bad for Nny after that whole deal with Devi, though. And the ending is so.. whut. D:

I think I Feel Sick is probably my favorite, though Johnny the Homicidal Maniac is a close second.
