Fire Emblem: Memories of Death
User Image

This is a dark time for Magvel. The once luscious plains and forests have become sparse and full of death. Deserts took their place, and the countries began to grow restless. Wars broke out, and many died. To stop this mad epidemic, the gods chose to take human form, but by doing so, most lost their memories...

Gaian Name: Shale Darksnow
Character Name: Bly Darksnow
Age: 18
Class: Marshall
Inventory: Large sword
Bio/Personality: Bly was the God of War and Peace, until he took human form and lost his memories. He remembers bits and pieces of his life as a god through flashes and visions, but unfortunately he has yet to put it all together. He thinks that the visions are from a past life, or a sign from the gods. Because of this, his naturally reckless personality is magnified.

Age: 17
Class: Archer
Inventory: Bow, arrows, stuff…
Bio/Personality: Myra was once the Goddess of the Dawn, Rain, Wind, and single girls/women. Now all she knows is that the wind seems to work with her when she shoots, storms are the best weather, and every boy she’s ever known was either stupid, full of himself, or ASKING to be shot.
She thinks her flashes of memory from being a Goddess are the result of hitting her head on a rock that happened coincidently right before they started appearing—the hit to her head actually just jarred her memory and opened the right file cabinet in her brain, but she has a sneaking (and clearly wrong) suspicion she's crazy.

Bly rolled over in his bed, the early morning sunlight warming his face. He had the dream again; he was dressed in what looked to be royal armor, two large swords hung at his back. Only this time there were others, many people dressed in a similar fashion, but all had different armaments. He quickly rolled out of bed and got dressed, eager to start his day and to forget the haunting dream.

"BITE ME!!"
"Young lady, get back here right now, we aren't done--"
Myra slammed open the door of her small-ish home, not caring what the rest of the bloody town thought. "Give it up Dad!"
Inside the house was her fuming father and near hysterical brothers. The yoounger ones were rolling around on the floor laughing. The older one and the oldest younger one were exchanging money on the appearently numerous bets on the topic of 'Myra and Dad.'
As she walked away from her house and towards the woods, Myra felt herself change. Her clothes were heavier and without looking she knew it was because they were tougher and weighed down by her armor and weapons. The familiar shape of her bow was on her back, and she felt strong.
Shaking her head, Myra hit it a couple times for good measure.
"Freaking rock had to freaking hit me on the freaking head..."

"No."
"Why not? Why not? Why not? Bly, you promised!" The young boy pounded on Bly's armor. "I'll tell mom!"
"Nik, i have work to do. Sorry, but the boss told me i can't mess up again, or i'm outta the squad. Tomorrow, i promise." He finished putting on his chest plate and left the worn down shack, his sword resting on his shoulder.

Kirisin sat in the courtyard of one of the noble's houses, watching the leaves fall from the dying tree. He looked up at the branches sadly; only one leaf remained. As the leaf fell, the teen caught it in his hand, holding it gently in his palm.

Taking his usual shortcut through the town, Bly caught a glimpse of an angry girl stomping to the woods. Do i know her? She looks familiar... He thought, watching her as he entered the Mercenary camp.

Once a good ways into the woods Myra pulled herself into a tree. Afer lcking her lips once she started climbing, going as high as the tree's strength whould allow her.
The wind was better up high.
The visions were stronger up here, not even being visions but a disturbing sense of rightness that would have startled her if she hadn't been feeling so right.

"Bly! You're late!" A tall man in his mid forties barked, his muscular arms crossed. "You expect to get anywhere in life by being late? I outta fire you!"

"Please don't! My family needs the money! They've done so much for me!"

"I know. That's why i'm not firing you this time. This is your last warning."

"Yes Commander Zenova."

"Bly, that's no way for one of my subcommanders to talk! I've told you countless times to call me "Commander", nothing more." Zenova said, brushing his graying hair from his face.

Kirisin flipped the leaf back and forth in his palm, watching as the color of the leaf started to fade. A tear fell from his eyes, falling onto the leaf, the color starting to restore. Kirisin tilted his head as his tear began to revitalize the plant.

"Kirisin! You shouldn't be outside so much... you know how easily you burn," his caretaker called from inside the mansion.

"Yes Rune, I know," the boy called back, placing the leaf back against the tree, watching as the life of the leaf started bringing back color of the tree.

Bly cracked his knuckles. This would be an easy job; all he had to do was clean up a couple of rowdy bandits, who decided to take a small village for ransom. It would of been a good plan, if they had taken into account the traveling merchant that stops in the town every week. The man had seen the bandits on a previous excursion, and went straight to Bly's company.

Bly was alone on this job. Normally, he would be paired with Angy, an archer who almost never missed. She would watch his back while he watched everything else. He drew his sword and slowly entered the village, waiting for the bandits to reveal themselves.

Kirisin picked up his discarded bow, walking back towards the house. He paused a moment, looking back at the high fence. Taking a running start, Kirisin leaped over the fence, running off into the forest neighboring the mansion. They won't miss me... all they ever do is make sure that I'm not in the sun... he thought, positioning his quiver in a more comfortable position.

She felt herself being nuzzled by her mount’s snout; she stirred weakly, as if it was too much effort to move at this point. The white horse reared and kicked out, shattering the skull of the revenant that had gotten to close to her. She tried to remember who she was, what her name was, why there was a horse and where she was. Her hands fell to her and she picked it up, lying on the ground reading the cover of it. “Nosferatu.” The word came easily to her mind. “The death tome.” She stated, the phrase coming to mind. As she said that something else came to mind, a man in his late 40’s telling her she need to head into Darkling Woods and see what was causing the influx of power. “Wha? Who was that man? Who am I?” She decided she better get off this ground and work out the less important stuff later.

Getting up she found another tome and picked it up reading the cover as she’d done the first. “Flux. Basic dark magic.” She wondered why she knew that and not her own name. Looking down at herself she noticed she was perfectly fine, had she decided to take a nap when she got in the forest or something? Why was she in this forest? Where was this forest?! “So,” she said to the horse “who might you be, who might I be? Think you can tell me?” The horse nudged her with her nose and she guessed that would mean a no. The horse’s nudging allowed her to see she carried a staff. “Dark magic and a staff makes me a Druid or a Summoner, as I do not see any kind of Anima tomes on my I must be a Summoner, still doesn’t explain much.” She said patting the horse.

“Come along horse, I believe you’re a Lipizzaner. I don’t know I remember that and not your name! What happened horse?” She paused listening to the groans of the forthcoming Revenants. “Say horse, if your here and tacked, that means I must ride you right? Think I can?” She studied the saddle for a second, her mind telling her it was a light english saddle, and the reins were a light snaffle. Not useful in the let to her current situation as she didn’t know what she was supposed to do once she got o-mounted. “Right horsey, just work with me.” She mounted and shifted the reins to her right hand telling her she was probably left handed as she must cast with her left.

Opening her Flux tome she casted at the nearest one, didn’t do much but make he pause and groan. “So why did I bring these?” She wondered aloud as they got closer, entrapping then both. “Horse, good time to run or something?” She ask as she slipped the tome into her pouch and lacking more ideas, she reached over for her staff which caused her to pull back sharply and up. The next thing she knew the horse had jumped and kicked out backwards, clearing the back route and stunning several of the Revenants. She pulled the horse’s head round and pointed it at the opening nudging it with her legs and seat. “That was a Capriole, still don’t know who I am or my mount but, I know my horse stuff I guess.” The white horse fled though the night towards the village of Caer Pelyn though she knew nothing of the place she was going or anything of the sort, she did notice the moon had been full, perhaps the night before it had been whole. “29 days until the moons appears in its full glory once again.” Again she knew not why, but it must be important, not knowing herself was annoying.

Myra was practicing her archery, totally not focusing on anything else.
In... Out... Hold... Shoot.
She hit the 'target' dead on. That ad always mystified her-- her aim. She could breath wrong and shoot off by an inch or two but the wind would pick up and while it had been going the other way before that, it would kiss her arrow in flight so that she hit dead on.
Freaky.

She pondered her last sentence as they rode. “Moons? There’s but one and yet it feels off somehow. Like there should be three, but, there not and I know that. I don’t know anymore. Why is it can remember how to ride, terms and how to use magic and staves yet remember nothing about myself, nor my name?” She pulled up by a river running a bit downhill, over the mountainous path into a valley overlooking a small forested village. “Where is that?” She asked the horse letting it drink as she did before studying her reflection in the smooth flowing river. What startled her most of all about her was her eyes, they were like flint, hard and grey-black. Her hair was white grey, her armour black as well as most of her attire, the side of her cape being midnight blue. The armour trimmed in gold and her belt with a bloodstone centered in it her cape fitted with bloodstone clips.

She noticed about her was a serious yet annoyed look, which never seemed to change no matter how she felt. She guessed it was her eyes that gave her that look. The horse with its dripping muzzle walked over to her. She patted her, knowing her mount was a female but, not her name. There was so much she need to know but, could not understand. She remounted and rode toward the village hoping to find a place to stay and maybe by chance, run into someone that knew her from somewhere and tell her a bit about her blank past. Upon arrive in the town she got that and more. “MOMMY!!!” A young girl about 3 ran out of a stable, a light grey pony following her. “Mommy look! Watch this!” The young girl scrambled bareback upon the pony and might it trot in a circle without any from of tack. “See I told you I could make him do it before you got back!” The young girl looked rather pleased with herself, until she saw her mother’s puzzled expression.

She was confused, she had a child? A life here? Was she married? To who? Parents? “That’s great sweetie! Why don’t we put our mounts up and head inside?” She smiled as the daughter cheered. “Alright, then you have to tell me the stories of what was going on in Darkling Woods right? I’m old enough! My teacher says I’m too young but, I’m three and eight-twelfths! That’s old right?!” She thought to herself as she dismounted. “Yes, that is very old indeed, come along now she’s tired and looking forward to a good long rest in the stable and I don’t want to make her wait much longer.” With that she led her horse into the small sixteen stall stable. Looking about she noticed that seven of the stalls had cows and one had a bull. There were four stalls looking about ready for something to go them but, only two had full buckets and nets.

One of the stalls had a brass plate on the door reading ‘Eyre’ the other two not stamped. The stall beside hers was stamped with the name of ‘Amlith’ which she guessed must have been were her daughters horse was going but, instead her mount went in the unstamped but prepared stall. The young girl turned to her. “Mommy… when’s daddy coming home?” So she was married, that answered that. “I don’t know, one day I hope.” She said softly before untacking her mount, while her daughter brushed hers.
