heart CERAMICS heart

User ImageUser ImageUser ImageUser ImageUser ImageUser Image

My Geisha Girl
I used the glaze I made in class called 'rainbow'. She's my best piece of art I've ever created. ^__^

User ImageUser ImageUser Image

Primate Art
One to right is ceramic and the one the left is the plaster mold taken from it

User ImageUser ImageUser Image

Modern Pencil Holder
lol, inspired after looking at some modern Japanese ceramic tables/vases

User ImageUser ImageUser ImageUser ImageUser Image

Water Chibi (1 0f 4)
I used the Japanese motif for water used on kimonos and included a very cartoonish expression on it

User ImageUser ImageUser ImageUser ImageUser Image

Air Chibi (2 of 4)
Following the same theme as the water chibi. Different expression used.

User ImageUser ImageUser ImageUser ImageUser Image

Forest/Earth Chibi (3 of 4)
I wanted a more greeny earthy and had to make up my own motif. I took inspiration from some of the vines I see growing around at my school.

User ImageUser ImageUser ImageUser ImageUser Image

Rocky Earth/Fire Chibi(4 of 4)
I was experimenting with a new glaze bought, I wanted some like rock. However it didn't have the same glossy look as the others. I also experimented with Indian ink to bring out the pattern motifs. I combine it with one I found for fire, but also made up my own.

User ImageUser Image

Blue Sweetbread Bowl
lol, I wanted a pattern similar to the one found on Mexican Sweet bread. It's a high fire glaze with some dark blue slip in between the cracks.

User Image

Dinosaur Tracks
You can't see it too well, but I really loved how all the colors came out on it. Once again High Fire glaze.

User ImageUser ImageUser ImageUser Image

Ocean Shell
Using the same glaze as My Geisha Girl. Looks totally different. Down on wheel.

User ImageUser ImageUser Image

Yuki Sohma: Fruit Baskets Bank
lol, a gift made for my little sister

User ImageUser ImageUser Image

Sakura Blossom Vase
I loved how the center looks and gave it coloring that's soft and pale to resemble Spring

User ImageUser Image

Ume Blossom Vase
My first creation on the wheel. It was in the art display at school for a while. ^__^;; I went crazy looking for it.

User ImageUser Image

Tomato Red Cup
I had a tea cup and thought I'd like another with the same Japanese influence. My second time experimenting with pattern by layering glazes.

User ImageUser Image

Apple For My Teacher
lol, not a snake! Assignment was to create a fun teapot. An apple with a worm in it, the body is the handle and the head is the spout.

User ImageUser Image

Hawaiian Caveman
I used Hawaiian Blue, but I think I must have fired it wrong. First project, making a pinch pot.

User ImageUser Image

Pink Flower
Experimenting by making something look organic. Manipulating clay to look like petals.

User ImageUser Image

Luckey Exchangeable Candle Holder
A four leaf clover pattern on top, bottom hollowed so you can easily insert a large candle in it.

My Little Sister
A module project using hot cheeto bags. An accurate representation of my little sister. wink

User ImageUser ImageUser Image

Metal Rose
You can't exactly see it here, but it's a rose with three leaves and a stem. Looks MUCH better in real life as you're holding it.

I'm in love with the ocean shell. In a way it looks like a beautiful mistake and those seem to be the best in art.
