MAJOR CONSTRUCTION GOING ON.
I had this same Role Play on Gaia, then Solia, now Gaia again, but there were so many people on both sites that it got confusing with too many stories going on. I have since then been working and re-working the Equinox Tavern, and am happy with it now. I don't want to put this out on Gaia [the whole community] again because there are too many people there and I believe that the Tavern will have more success on a small internet community like this guild.
[Was called Underworld Tavern and Inn, but don't worry. My Gaia name is Zombified Care Bears; to prove that it is mine, I edited it. Is also on Solia where my name is Violet Hearts. [DO NOT add me! I do not go on Solia anymore.]

Frosty Equinox Tavern and Inn
On the edge of Desdemona Forest where mystical and nightmarish beings live, the Frost Equinox Tavern and Inn is a place of solitude for some. It always seems to be dark around the building. It's raining in a light drizzle and there is a large boom of thunder every now and then, along with a pierce of lightning that rips apart the sky into shreds.
~Main Room~
The room you come into is large and has four big fireplaces inset in each walls Near the fireplaces are red love seats and chairs. The bar is on the left wall and has about twenty stools, covered in a black leather and a small back for comfort. Each wall is lined with candles, so that the main room always has a bit of a eerie glow. An old record player sits in the corner. There are all different liquids along the black, wooden shelves behind the bar. Choose your poison carefully.
~Upstairs~
Upstairs is filled with many rooms along the hallway that anyone can rent out for however long. Each room has a bed, wardrobe, and a candlestick. There are two showers and bathrooms upstairs that everyone shares. They are placed at each end of the hall. At the left end of the hall is a bathroom and shower; the same on the right.
There are some candle chandeliers that line the ceiling of the hallway. There are also pictures that line the walls. The pictures are paintings of different animals found in the wood next to the Tavern and some of people painted in Gothic and renaissance styles. They paintings are surrounded by a dark, cherry wood for a frame. (Please see rooms below)
~Room Behind the Bar~
The room behind the bar is entered by Anna Marie only, and her alone. No one else has ever seen the inside as not many are invited in. Ms. Vanderkeft enjoys the solitary feel of a private room, as she offers others to guests upstairs.
~Kitchen~
There is a large kitchen behind the bar and every item you'll ever need is there. It is every chef's dream. Workers will also find cleaning supplies in there to maintain the upkeep of the Inn. Paintings hang in the kitchen of every herb imaginable. Along with old recipes, composed with a quill pen. They are tacked up every where, here and there along the walls.
~ Jacqueline's Ball Room~
To the right of the stairs, for the first floor, is a large, dark wood door. Open it and you'll find yourself in a large ball room. The walls are painted with creatures of all kinds over a golden base. The floor is a golden wood. There is a small area for a string and piano orchestra in the far left corner. There is also a large record player. This room is only for balls and invitations will be sent out. Your best dress is required. There will also be smaller balls for only the people currently in the building.
~Arena~
On the far right of the main room is a large wooden door with a symbol that looks like a blade of grass etched into the maple door. Open it and you will find a wonderful fighting arena. It can also be used for practicing. There are trees and bushes in here so it looks like an indoor forest, which is exactly what it is. It has a tall domed ceiling, perfect for flying. The weather in there can be changed to Anna Marie's liking. You can just simply ask her to change it.
~Hot Spring and Sauna~
The door on the left side of the stairs, is a wood door, a bit smaller than the others. Behind it you'll find a hot spring. This place was found by digging a hole in the ground and having hot water come pouring up. The hot spring is tiled in white tiles with blue swirls on the tiles. There are several benches behind the hot spring. These are also tiled, along with the whole room and hot spring. In the far right corner of the room, next to the door, is the Kiuas. This heats the room and creates löyly. Löyly is an essential part of the sauna, but creating steam demands a lot of energy. The stones allow the heater to retain its heat during the bathing and to release it quickly to make löyly.
~Sky Room~
This is a large domed room. It rests on top of the tavern, giving it a dome-like roof. You can reach this room by going up the stairs to the far left end of the corridor, that contains the rooms for over-night guests, on the right hand side. Going up the twenty-seven stairs will lead you into a room that appears to have no ceiling. There is a ceiling there; however, it's transparent. This room got its name for it is specifically used for stargazing. Here you can watch the sun or moon rise or set. From the very middle of the ceiling to its curved wall edges meeting the floor, its transparent. So, basically, it looks like a large circular platform.
~The Tower~
The tower is just what it is. A tower and nothing more. On the far right side of the corridor that houses the over-night guests, there is a staircase on the left-hand side. Going up the ten steps you will get to a cylinder room that goes up and up. To get up there, you must take the thirty or so stairs on the circling staircase that lines the sides of the cylinder. Getting to the top will get you into a room. Inside this six foot by six foot circular room is a large window on the north end that overlooks the lake and lighthouse. There is a large square in the floor where you push yourself through to get into the room. Enjoy the view.
~The Equinox Gardens~
Going through the door that is next to the sauna will get you to the outside gardens. The gardens here are prosperous with flowers in colors of the rainbow, fountains that make the most delightful sound, birds that bid you greetings and farewells, and swings. With the regularly stormy weather, Anna Marie never has to water this garden. It's very low maintenance, just her style In this garden there is lavender, basil, lemon mint, mint, and all sorts of flowers. Want to grow your own plant? Ask Anna Marie. There are three stone fountains placed throughout on top of the well manicured lawn.
The first one on the far right is in front of a willow tree, whose leaves sweep the ground regularly and lay there, it is modeled as Cupid. Cupid has a sash tied around his waist and a bow and arrow in his hand, aiming toward the cloudy sky. There is a wooden swinging bench under the willow tree in front of the fountain. Clear water shoots out of the tip of his arrow and into the circular bottom of the fountain.
The second fountain is in front of a maple tree. This fountain is of a mermaid. She has long hair that goes down her waist and into the bottom of the fountain. Her long tail is supporting her against one end of the circular base and curls around in the bottom. Her face is beautiful, the look of beauty. Her hair also covers her bosom, parting on each side of her neck to reach where the scales start below her belly button. Her arms are reached up towards the sky, so is her face with her eyes closed, and water shoots out of each finger tip and into the pool below. It also has a swing in front of it.
The third and final fountain is surrounded by red roses and in front of another willow tree. Also, in front of another swing. This one is of a rose bush whose water shoots out of the thorns on its vines. The vines intertwine each other many times and look very knotted. There are seven large rose flowers at the top of the statue. There are also seven large rose petals on the floor of the circular fountain.
There are many paths on the smooth lawn and there is one that ends in a small field with a black trellis that is covered with dark blue morning glories. There is a stone bench under here.
~Billiard Room~
On the first floor that houses the over-night guests, there is room number 109. Going in here will not lead you to a guest room, like expected, but to a Billiard Room. In here there are two pool tables. The floor is a fine dark wood and the ceiling is painted the exact color as the green carpet on the billiard tables. The walls are covered with a very fine, smoky red carpet. There are four tables, two on each side. One table on each side has two chairs on either side of the square table that has a checker game board painted on its black foundation with white paint. The pieces are kept in a small black box that is nailed to the side of the table that has a swinging door on top for easy access to the pieces. The other tables on each side have a painted black chess board on their white foundation. Two chairs are also supplied, along with the box for the pieces.
In the far left corner of the room is a cabinet that houses the pool sticks and billiards. There are four boxes of the required eight billiards.
So, all-in-all, there are four tables, two pool tables, two chess tables, two checkers tables, a cabinet for billiard supplies, and four chairs.
~Stardust Lake~
Taking one path from the gardens will lead you to the lake. This lake is called Stardust Lake, for it sparkles at night, as if the stars themselves are trapped beneath the watery surface. Swimming, boating, rock-skipping, and even skinny dipping can take place here. There is a small boathouse on the edge of the lake with two paddle-boats, two canoes, two kayaks, and two small sail boats. The lake is very large and about two miles across and one mile in length. How deep it is, no one knows. There are fish and small Box Turtles in the lake, but they won't bother you.
~Chuma Lighthouse~
The Chuma Lighthouse is on the other side of the lake near a small dock. Boating is the best way to get to it. Tie up your boat and walking inside the small lighthouse will get you to a swirling staircase. Following the staircase up the seventy-three stairs will get you to a small room that houses the light. Going out through a door up here will find yourself on an iron flat with a railing. This flat with railing goes around the lighthouse in a complete circle. An excellent place to view the forests, lake, and surrounding mountains.
The design of this lighthouse is completely black. So, although you won;t be able to see the lighthouse itself when its night, you'll be able to see the bright light that shines through the glass top.
~The Hammocks~
There are many trees surrounding the lake. There is a point where there are twenty trees paired off into groups of two around ten equal points of the lake. Between these pairs is a white hammock. Even though it usually rains here near the Tavern, the trees leaves shield you from most of it. These hammocks can hold up to four people, but are most comfortable when occupied by one or two.
~The Hospital Wing~
Despite its name, the Hospital Wing is just a room, not a corridor. To get to the hospital wing, go up the stairs and enter room 101. Once pushing the heavy wooden door concealing the ward, your eyes will feast upon a very royal-feeling type of doctor's office. There was a great wooden roll top desk pushed against the far left corner of the room which outlooked a beautiful and vast window with wooden brown panes. Some simple notes about a long-named rare disease and curing herbs are scattered messily across the top, covering the dark, smoky, wooden surface completely. A black leather journal is open with a fade green ribbon lying in the center of the pages, a bookmark. A bottle of thick deep red-ish, forest green ink sits beside the notebook with a raven feather laying across the pages. The page on the left is dated September 2, 2000. There is a small passage beneath the date that states: Even though it is a new millennium, ways are kept old here and cherished grandly. I like it very much and it pleases me to work here. I practice magic daily with Anna Marie and am learning a lot. She's a shape shifter just like me and hopefully I'll be just as good as her. There have been some great renovations to the Tavern and exploring it is great fun. Anna Marie said she would install some secret passages just for us to explore! I'm so excited and I love her so. I would die for my dearly beloved. When I pull her body close to mine and am enveloped in her essence of a thunder storm, fresh and wet soil, and newly sprung foxgloves; I know that I am truly happy. I hope to live with my love for the great ages to come. We will live together for as long as our similar blood lines allow. And I know that we will both go to great lengths to preserve it.
Who wrote this passage is unknown to everyone in the building, but one person. The ink on the slightly yellowed parchment concealed in the notebook smells faintly of Forest Blood Berries. Minty with a hint of coco and cinnamon. A rare ink indeed. After reading the passage, you realize that the notebook is nearly finished and that the previous pages are filled with the elegant and virile hand writing.
There is a comfortable wooden chair that anyone just eases into and could rest in for hours. The floor of the room is warm to the bare foot by a rich blood red floor rug. There is a glimpse every now and then near the wall of the dark brown hickory wood that supplies as the sturdy floor. Four black sheeted beds, two on each side of the cozy room, have feather mattresses and pillows. For comfort is an important ingredient in getting well. There is a large cabinet filled with a numerous amount of dusty glass bottles of all sorts and sizes for all sorts of injuries. This rests against the far right side of the wall that cushions the desk. Near this cabinet of bottles, you'll see a small obsidian sink with a bar of maroon lye soap on the side. A black terry-cloth towel hangs from a simple and silver towel hanger. If you look directly to your right when you walk into the room, you'll see two dressers of dark oak wood pushed together. In these drawers - a total of eight in all, four on each dresser - were extra blankets, towels, sheets, and pillows, for you never know when an extra might be needed. In the far Near the entrance, to the left, is another large cabinet, but its called a book case. Behind the glass doors of this furniture is a great number of books. Books for pure entertainment and other books on serious matters. Although, the journal on the desk will be the most interesting.
There is a small brick fireplace in the center of the farthest wall and two black chairs are set there for if someone needs to stay overnight with a patient. There is also one wooden bed stand beside each bed to hold drinks, meals, medicines, and other necessaries.
