I'm on the west coast so I haven't seen the new ep yet, so please no spoilers!

I just couldn't remember the third person that died in the last ep of season 2. It was Niki, Nathan, and who else?

Adam didn't die, and Mohinder instantly brought Maya back right? I could have sworn there was three people that "died"

I think Nathan is the one that is dead forever. I was reading an article in TV guide and neither him, nor his character were mentioned once and most everyone else was. The problem is that I can't remember who that 3rd person was.

-edit-

Saw the ep now so this thread is kind of pointless. Thanks for the help everyone!

I had a lot of mixed emotions over this episode.

What we learned/important things that happened:

Future Peter shot Nathan and trapped present Peter inside the body of Jesse Murphy, a level 5 villain. Nathan is healed by Linderman who can only be seen by Nathan apparently.

Ali Later appears as Tracy Strauss, which confuses Nathan as he recognizes her as Niki. She works for the governor and is there to offer Nathan an important political position. At the end of the episode we discover that Tracy can freeze people.

Sylar finally got Claire's ability and told Claire she can never die. Claire can also no longer feel pain. Sylar then goes to level 5 to get the powers of the "super villains." He killed Bob and obtains his ability before heading to level 5, but is stopped when trying to steal Elle's powers as she let's out an uncontrolled huge burst of electricity(which causes a power outage and the villains and HRG, who was held there, escape). HRG takes Sylar into a cell and leaves. At the end of the episode we find out that Sylar is the son of Angela.

HRG returns home to get some things in the middle of the night and Claire wakes up to find him. He explains to her about level 5 and why he can't say, but he calls on Claire's biological mother to protect the family.

Daphne, who's ability is super speed, steals a paper Hiro's father gave him to protect with half of some very important formula on it. Afraid to go back in time again, Hiro goes to the future to see what is caused by her stealing the paper. The world appears in chaos and Hiro also sees Ando with powers betraying him. (or so it appears)

Mohinder discovers a way to give people powers. He tests it on himself and he falls to the ground, only to wake up with super senses and more strength. At first Maya was mad but she forgives him and a steamy sex scene ensues. Mohinder wakes up however to something really weird happening to his skin. I'm not exactly sure what, but parts of his skin were coming off as if he was shedding. It was gross. XD

We also found out Angela's power is prophetic dreams, as many already figured.

That was a lot to type so excuse me if I forgot anything, just let me know and I will be happy to add it.

My thoughts:

I'm glad they brought Nathan back, I was sure he was a goner! ;_;

I'm sad we didn't get to see Micah at all! I kind of wish they would have left Niki dead as they continue to bring in too many characters for TWO episodes without taking barely any out. Especially now that they're bringing back some of the ones they killed off, like Linderman. I wanted to see Monica! Though I am intrigued by the NIki-Tracy situation.

Peter continues to infuriate me with his and excessive arrogance self-rightous attitude. He actually made me like Angela for most of the episode. Ever since season 2 I haven't been able to stand him. X_X

I'm a little sad about Hiro not trusting Ando, when he cannot even know that he understood what he observed in the future.

To much to talk about at once, I'm getting burned out on typing. Discussion plz? XD

Also good idea for a poll? O: I don't just want to do a "how much did you like this ep" thing. :p

LAST BUT NOT LEAST: LOL at Sylar.

Claire: Are you going to eat my brain?
Sylar: Claire! That would be disgusting!

I lol'd hard at that. It actually redeemed Sylar for me. I was really getting burned out on him.

I'm pretty sure it was just Nikki and Nathan.

I'm central, so I've already watched it all, so I know what happens, but those were the only two that "died".

EDIT: You might be thinking of Noah Bennet, but they brought him back with Claire's blood at the end.

I could have sworn I remembered it being a big deal that they killed three people... Like the commercials from the ep and stuff. Maybe it was Maya I'm thinking of...

That TV guide article confirmed it for me that Niki is returning, though not as Niki, so maybe there is hope for Nathan, but probably not. Ugh I'm scared to watch now. ;_____;

LOL@ everyone who already knows what happens laughing at me btw. XD

I haven't seen season 3 yet either, I also live on the W. Coast.

Anyway, Nathan was shot at the end of Season 2, Maya was shot by Sylar but then was brought back to life by Mohinder.

Adam currently resides in a coffin, where he was left there by Hiro Nakamura.

Nikki was in the building that blew up while she was trying to rescue Micah's cousin from being burned alive.

It'll just be moved to the episode discussion. If you want it deleted, though, I will.

After 2 seasons, they finally reveal the big secret: Sylar is an octopus.

I loved these episodes SO MUCH. After watching the Life premier on the NBC website I was very pessimistic about Heroes for some reason, but the show BURST through my expectations, SHREDDED my left over bitterness from last season's length and all around made me remember HOW AWESOME THIS SHOW IS.

I have a theory about Tracy Strauss- she's Jessica. She never died, she had an ability that manifested early so the company or someone kidnapped her and she was raised Claire-style by someone else.

ANDO IS NOT A VILLAIN. I don't think he had a power either- the light he zapped Hiro with looked like it might have been coming out of a machine taser-style and Hiro was probably only knocked unconscious. After this season when something horrible happens to Hiro he'll refuse to go forwards in time as well XD.

Future Peter makes me love and respect Present Peter, which is bad. How many times has he been told to go back where he came from? New drinking game. Every time Peter does something stupid after someone smarter than him advises him otherwise- drink. Drink more if its Angela telling him to go back to where he came from. Drink more-er if she uses profanity. Drink orange juice always and eat your spinach so that you can be a psychotic mass murderer like Sylar.

I know the super evil villains have only had... 3 or 4 minutes of screen time all together, but I love them already! Especially The German. He was in the graphic novels, but he's cooler in action, you know? Awesome accent. If he, Sylar and Adam Monroe were to have an all-out brawl on a massive earth-shattering scale with lots and lots of innocent bystanders getting massacred... I'd be a happy girl. Flint scares the crap out of me. It isn't the baldness, I swear. Just... creepy and then he winks at people. Why so many bald people all of a sudden? Jesse, Flint and Puppet-man. Some kind of homage to the great, late Bob?

gonk crying BOOOOOBB! *weeps* NOT BOB!!! *sob* Oh BOB! Why dija hafta go?! *blows nose* Boooob... *whimper*

Whats Sylar going to do with that power?

You gotta feel bad for Elle though. She's been in the company her entire life...or at least two-thirds of it, and now she has been given 'the boot'. I wonder what she'll do now...maybe work at an electric company or something like that? Nah.

Also, I didn't really like Bob that much anyway. He seemed no different than how Angela was; claiming that he had learned from his past mistakes and that he was trying to clean up after Linderman, but he didn't seem to have learned a thing from any of the past mistakes made by him or his buddies. He tried to make Mohinder inject Monica, and Maury (though with Maury, I don't really blame him) with the Shanti virus, and lied to Peter about helping him just so the company could keep him under lock and key (though he made a pretty stupid mistake putting him next to Adam's cell, which was the reason he was able to escape in the first place). In addition, he lied to the Bennet family about leaving them alone, and I think his method of discipline towards Elle might have been a bit harsh, not to mention the experiments that were done to her since she was seven. Though considering how Angela is, and the first few things that we see her do when she becomes the Company's new figurehead, I'm starting to miss the way Bob ran things; Angela seems to have a few screws loose.

Speaking of loose screws, I'm curious to see how Sylar is going to react to the revelation that Angela is his real mother. Maybe he'll freak out and go into another psychotic murder frenzy? Nah, maybe they'll go out for ice cream.

As much as I hated Elle at first, I do have pity for her. Angela is so cold hearted. ;_;

Also I realized something: WTF EVER HAPPENED TO CAITLIN?!?!? Is she still in the future???

I don't know what to make of the whole Ando situation. It's very likely that the secret forumla is the perfected version of Mohinder's, so it is very likely that he could have a power. I don't think he was betraying Hiro or w/e. Maybe somebody else has a power like Candice and is just appearing ot be Ando?

As for Caitlin, the future she was trapped in never happened because Peter destroyed the virus so it didn't get out and kill everyone... so God knows what happened to her.
Peter Petrelli, you sir are a very fickle man. 'I need to get Caitlin back!' *one episode later* 'Caitlin who?'

I'm guessing that Hiro misinterpreted the future when he saw it. It could be possible that it was like one of those prophecies that was caused by him knowing about it, kind of like the painting Isaac drew of that one girl in the graphic novels; the prophecy was fulfilled because she found out about it. It's possible that the same thing, or something similar with happen with Hiro and Ando.

As for Caitlin, she doesn't exist anymore. She's stuck in a future that no longer exists. Also, did you notice that Peter reacted similarly to Simone's death? The episode she died, he was sobbing over her corpse, and the next episode, he probably forgot that she even existed. If Peter does have another relationship this season, I'm going to feel so sorry for the poor gal he winds up forgetting about once she gets killed, put into another dimension, removed from existence, or have some other event happen to her which leads to Peter forgetting she ever existed.

And it's not just the people that die who were in a relationship with other characters either. I mean, Monica was kind of dropped from the charts at the end of last season right as the writers had started building up something for her to work with. And then there's West. Once Claire dumped him, he just drops from existence too. As for Claude, there is a lot of implication that he might return in a later season, and so far, there has been little implication that he will. Claude's understandable though, since his actor's likely got a lot on his schedule.
