Saburi was glad things had seemed to at last have settled. She hadn't seen her friends in a while and she missed Vuvi terribly but she kept it much to herself. She wasn't about to let the world know she cared about someone who had sided with the traditionals and left them. She would have gone but she was sure someone would find her out and so she stayed with her close friend and now well, she hadn't even seen her in a while.
She found herself laying by the waterhole with her forepaws in the water cooling her body a little. She watched the sky a little, the blueness of it. It was just so big, so huge. With nothing but blue, no clouds what so ever. It was like the water but just never ending.
She lowered her head and let it rest on her forelegs before closing her eyes. She wasn't sleeping, just resting after all she still didn't trust many who were in the pride and she was sure that was normal but still. She wasn't about to trust those she didn't know and those she had seen fight and kill. So for now she just rested while making sure she listened to every sound.

The lion stretched his limbs, paws flexing in the sand, reading each grain that passed through his grasp. He was a warrior, an assassin, senses ever alert to the world that surrounded him, each sound, sight, scent, and touch, nothing escaped him.
He had grown, matured since the days of the rebellion. His smaller size had vanished, overtaking most of his siblings with a sudden massive growth. Now a full mane protected his neck and shoulders, and the wounds he had received that day had faded into only scars, the fist of many to touch his fire red pelt. His limp had gone, and only strength remained.
But beyond his stature, he mind had grown as well, his skills improved. No longer was he the inexperienced teenager he had been on the battlefield of the rebellion. He had become a true warrior, sense keen, talons deadly, his mind sharper than it had been before. He might have been called a monster had he ever shown the emotions becoming of such a title. Through all his training and growth, he had remained as he'd always been, cold and apathetic, a dangerous creature.
Now his nose caught the air as he trod his own way to the water hole, seeking nothing more than to quench his thirst before moving on. A familiar scent, interesting, perhaps there was more worth finding there than water.

Her ears flicked as she heard him heading in her direction though she didn't move untill he was close enough to actually talk to if she deemed him worthy to talk to. She didn't mind talking to anyone really but she had to be weary, she was in a pride like none other and she wasn't about to loose her head or any other limbs at that!
However when she finally raised her head and opened her eyes they laid on a familiar shape though he had grown and become somewhat more bulky. She would have even said he was attractive but she kept that thought to herself. She didn't really think he would make much of a mate from her last meeting with him. He was very much an individual.
"Hello there."
She would have greeted him with his whole name but she could only remember part of it and so didn't say any of it. She wasn't about to cause offence. She knew some didn't like their names being shortened.

Red eyes narrowed, tail flicking once as if would say 'oh, it's you", though he had already known she was there. He remembered the lioness, they had first crossed paths on the day of the rebellion, irritating creature, yet strangely intriguing.
He did not answer, merely acknowledging her presence with a grunt before lowering his head to the water for a drink. He had never been one for greetings. Not that he ignored the presence of others, he was always alert to their actions, it was simply unimportant, a waste of words.
"You have survived."
It was a simple statement of fact, as close to a 'hi, how are you?" as he would ever get. Cold, emotionless as he had always been, such questions were not in his nature. But not to speak at all, it didn't seem fitting. The now, was how would the lioness respond, would she prove interesting as she had on that first meeting? Or would she simply prove that she was not worth him wasting his talons on her.

Saburi watched him remembering the way he seemed so cold the last time she had met him. She also remembered how he seemed to be so against help of any kind so it did amaze her at just how well he had healed.
"It seems you have to, with all limbs intact."
She had to add on the extra bit after all the way he had been hurt and had been limping and bleeding she was surprised to see that his wound hadn't been infected and fallen off. Though she was never quite sure how limbs managed to fall off but she knew they happened every now and then.
She didn't say anything else for she knew he was a man of little words.

He gave no sound, no answer, didn't look at her or even acknowledge that she had spoken for several moments. His attention had again turned to the water, taking another drink, only looking up again when his thirst was thoroughly satisfied, perhaps taking longer than he normally would have to test her reaction.
"It is dangerous to underestimate my strength."
There was no threat behind his words, no anger in his tone. It was a statement of fact and nothing more, he had healed because he was strong enough He had known that he would, there was no reason why he would not. he was not so fragile that he would be disabled by his first battle.
"You are as irritatingly persistent as ever."
Saburi, that was her name, he remembered, though there was really no reason why he should have. Perhaps it was that she had been so irritating that day, maybe he should have just killed her then. But that seemed pointless, she was interesting enough to tolerate at least, for now.

She watched him drink and then was slight taken back with his comment. Then again this was Ashi and he seemed to have no emotions what so ever. She learnt the first time she met him no matter how cold he appeared to beware of him. She would be persistant though as she firmly believed there was something underneath all that coldness though she also knew it would take a long time to break it down.
"Well someone has to be, though I am sure you are happy enough being lonely."
She yawned after speaking and laid her head back down on her paws though her eyes stayed fixed on the male wondering if he would ever let anyone in or ever show emotion whether it was lust or love or just happiness. She wasn't sure about Ashi he was a strange one and a hard one to work out.

"To feel loneliness, one must first wish for the company of others."
If it had been meant as a stab to throw her words back at her, it did not show in his expression, though perhaps there was the slightest hint of a smirk at the corner of his maw, she was as irritating as he remembered. Yet surely she was not so foolish, she must have known his nature, that he could strike her down at any moment without remorse, that if he did so he would give her no second thought, leaving her to be remembered by only the sand. Yet she did not seem afraid of him, or bothered by that thought. Did she know somehow he wouldn't, or had she simply accepted whatever would happen?
Love, lust, happiness, emotions were beyond him, a foreign concept he had never known. But though he never felt them, his interest in such things was peeked, and he watched others to learn, to mimic. It was an advantage to an assassin, to never feel the emotion that might cripple others, yet to manipulate others, he needed to understand, to act as if he cared to draw the target in.

She chuckled at his response. It was a perfect response from the lion of little words.
"No surprises there then."
She couldn't help but chuckle a little more not really moving her head much as she spoke and laughed. She was at ease around him. She had no reason to fear him even when she saw him covered in wounds she didn't really fear him. She had a brother who many feared yet she had stood up to him and got on wellish with him when they were cubs and so fear wasn't something that was all that natural to her.
"Maybe one day you will though. You lack emotions, must be a hard life to live."
Her voice softened a little as she spoke. She was a caring creature by nature, much like her mother who she missed dearly. She had decided long ago that she would try and help anyone in need no matter who they were. Ashi needed help, he needed to learn to feel. How can one be truely alive if they are void of all emotions?

His eyes narrowed, watching the lioness, every move, every breath she took. He did not sit, or recline, as others may have done, his only movement the flick of his tail.
"Emotions only cripple and destroy, it is far more to my advantage to live without them."
He did not regret his life without emotion, did not envy others theirs, felt no desire to feel them himself. He only wished to understand, to manipulate, to exploit the greatest weakness in all creatures.
"I would pity those cursed with emotion if I could, they do not know what waits for them."
As he spoke, his paws barely flexed. It was darkness that waited, death at the paws of the assassin.

Saburi smiled, how could she not? He knew nothing of happiness, joy, love... It was worth having the pain that emotions could bring just to be loved and to love someone else. To have happy things and to just be happy and content. How could anyone ever be happy unless they had emotions? It made her feel for him more then ever. He didn't know what he was missing out on.
"Maybe you don't know what waits for them. After all how would you if you do not have emotions?"
Her voice was a little harsher though she stayed laying where she was watching him. Her body was still calm and relaxed and she didn't seem or look threatened by him in the slightest.
She thought about emotions a little more and then smiled.
"Emotions make you stronger. You are more likely to fight your best if you are fighting for something or someone." She spoke a little softer then believing her statement with all her heart. Fighting, thats fine, go ahead and fight but if you were fighting for something you loved then you would fight with all you had. Maybe he did have emotions then, maybe he just hid from them.

"And yet, emotion blinds, one who is ruled by emotion will only lead themselves to a merciless death."
Hiashi'ikusa was not a fool, nor was he blind. He did not know emotion himself, but he had seen it, saw it in those around him, his siblings, his mother, his 'aunt', all those who inhabited the pride around him. He had seen it clearly in the rebellion, saw clearly that the foolish attachment to an emotion called pride had led to the downfall of the pride, had driven out members and sparked a war that would continue until their own deaths.
Foolishness, irritating creature. He neither needed nor wished for her help. He did not wish to feel, did not wish to know why she thought he should, nor did he wish to change her opinion on the matter (were the world to lose all emotion it would be much harder to exploit).
"Perhaps it makes you stronger, yet it is a weakness I do not wish to share."

"You have weaknesses too." She just looked at him as she spoke, her eyes staring at him.
She might not know what his weaknesses were but she knew he had them. Everyone did, it was just part of being alive. No one was perfect at everything and maybe his weakness was emotion, maybe one day it would hit him hard after all emotions can be overwhelming and just because he ignored them didn't mean he didn't have them.
She let out a yawn and rested her head once again. She was becomming rather bored, however a smirk then crossed her face.
"Have you never wished to teach others what you know? Your going to die one day."
She was curious, she knew most males didn't think about having cubs but wasn't it normal for males to want to continue their legacy or was that just her brother? Either way she was curious.

He did not answer her statement, to do so would have been a waste of time. She could believe as she wished, it did not matter. Perhaps he had a weakness, but it was not as she thought. There was no weakness of emotion for him, he would never feel them, there was no need to hide. For the cold hearted warrior, they simply did not exist, emotion was not, nor would it ever be a part of his being.
But there were no such thoughts in his mind, for he could not read the thoughts in hers. If he had, he would not of bothered then either, he simply did not care. One needed passion in order to argue, a trait he did not possess.
"If it was required to pass on my skills I would do so, but I do not 'wish' to do so."
Yes, he would die one day, every warrior held the knowledge that he was mortal. It was a fact of mortal creatures, nothing more, he did not fear it, he never would.

Saburi just looked at him. She would never understand him and so she wished not to. He was curious but he was stupid. He had said he never had emotions and so discarded something he had never actually felt. That in its self was enough for her to ignore his arguement. You can't dislike something truely without trying it.
However he then mentioning that he wished to basically die alone as well saddened her. He really was a sad creature. She knew he probably wouldn't care but her heart went out to him. No one should have to live as he should even if he did like it. He would find living a life of love would also be enjoyable. She missed Vuvi.
"Your loss."
She then stood up and drank some water, ignoring him for a while.
