Sooo who's watched the NEWEST Little Mermaid movie and what did you think??
I have to say I was a little disappointed, but it was better than the second one. I think Benjamin is awesome but it seems like Ursula should've made an appearance as she is supposed to be King Triton's sister.....

it's not too bad .i have my little erks with it though. like to me it looks like they did not do their research and watched the series. well, because for one in the series ariel met flounder when she was alot younger. she was maybe about 9 or 10 years old. secondanlly ariel get's her hair color from her father not mother. you find that out in the episode titled "red". Because in that episode triton gets turned into a kid. and he has red hair and freckles. but other than them two it was good.

You guys made great points. I loved the movie, but I agree, when i realized it was the first time that Ariel was meeting Flounder, it seemed as if she was still remaining the same age she was in the first movie... which didn't make a lot of sense to me. Almsot seemed like a cheap, hurried attempt to "re-sell" The Little Mermaid. U______U;

You guys are right, they should have been better at matching everything. Benjamin reminded me of my friend, Grant. IDK why, but like he just acted extactly like Grant. Maybe that's why I liked it so much. It's funny how the only one who looks like Queen Athena was Ariel and how her sisters looked like they were adopted.

To me the movie seemed like a quick attempt to capitalize upon the Little Mermaid franchise. It was a nice diversion, but it doesn't hold up to scrutiny and comparison between the other elements like the tv show.

I remember while watching the series that Ariel met Flounder when they were both little, so the fact that she met him when she was probably 16 kind of bugged me. It almost seems like Disney didn't care about the facts and just wanted to produce the third movie for more money. Don't get me wrong; the movie was decent. I was just disappointed on how wrong the facts were. To think that King Triton banned music just seemed to completely contradict the fact that he actually enjoyed his daughters constantly being put in concerts during the first movie. I enjoyed the second movie much more than the third one. I thought Melody's story was a nice touch to the movie series. I'm just hoping no more will be released.
