I remember, it was back in 2001, and I was in Heroes and Fantasies, a local Comicbook shop. I had unusual Luck that day. I kept finding Yu-Gi-Oh cards (Yea, I know... I was one of those guys who played Yu-Gi-Oh. Not anymore though. Fads are fads. The real game is MTG) all around the place, and no body would claim them, so I talked to the Store Manager. He said they weren't his inventory. I ended up keeping them, and then, before the tournament began, and this is where it gets relavent to the story...
I stooped down to look at the more rare cards, Holos, and Ultrarares and whatnot, and then I felt a cool breeze, and heard a voice which asked
'Where are you...?'
To which, I almost instinctively answered ' I'm here. Where are you..? '
Now, it was just me and the clerk at the time in the store, as I was about 30 minutes early. So, I asked the guy if he'd said anything, and he shook his head.
I have no true idea what the voice was, or why she asked me where I was, but it was a turning point. I began searching for Voice-related phenomanon, EVPs, Whitenoise, spirit-communication, and all sorts of other materials.
I think that this Samhain I might try to seek out the voice who spoke to me on that day... The only problem is, I have nothing much to go on, other than the voice of a young girl, about 15 or 17 ish, and the question of 'Where are you'...
This has always troubled me... What could have prompted something like that?

Some psychics believe that if your subconscious has something dire to tell you, it will speak to you and it will sound like a person talking. Those psychics suggest that is why we randomly hear our names being called, because our subconscious is trying to get our attention, yet ironically, we start looking around and become in a more concrete frame of mind taking away our chances of receiving the message.
However, it could very well have been a spirit too. Samhain is believed to be a fantastic time to try communicating with spirits. There are the typical methods such as a pendulum or Ouiji board. Try looking for clairaudience, or even just ideas on how to meditate to sharpen your senses to receive impressions. Visual funnel techniques on reception areas seem to be effective, such as envision a funnel getting smaller towards your temporal lobes and just concentrate on that, and that should get your energies focusing on what energies are coming into it, and focus it on manifestation in the form of audio information.
Aside from that, actual face-to-face confrontation isn't a strength of mine. I struggle with it. sweatdrop

I have heard that the Ouiji boards are the most effective, yet conversely the most dangerous... Given mis-use some terrible stories can unfold...
I'm not sure if my sister-in-law was telling the truth, but apparantly, she had been attempting to use the board to contact a friend, but ended up speaking with a vengeful spirit of some kind.
Still, I'm a little wary of using that particular method...

My theory on Ouiji boards and bad experiences is the same as my theory on skeptics with no experience. I don't use them myself, so I can't be too sure, but I theorize that many approach the tool with disrespect and fear, and those approaches lead to disaster for a lot of different tools.
Don't go feeling like that's your only option though, and I'm sure many would argue there are more effective means if the board makes you uncomfortable.

You don't happen to be my friend's younger brother? lol we we're trying to talk to a friend, but friendly spirits in my house. When I used the Ouija board I had never heard of it being a bad thing - it was a tool used for communication. Well, I learned that it can be dangerous, and that my willpower and dreamcatchers can be pretty powerful too. But that's another story.
Are you going to go back to that comic book shop? Maybe if it was a spirit, she will be there? It almost sounds like she could have been calling you from far away though, to ask where you are.
Do you know anyone who fits the description? 15-17 year-old girl, similar voice? It's possible that if you know someone like that, she could have been thinking about you that day, wondering where you were, and her feelings were so strong that you were able to hear her voice? Just a thought.

Just a thought. I just had a thought... I remember that voice, and she sounds alot like my girlfriend, Lori. But, the thing is, I only just met her last year. It's odd... I dunno. I don't want to say that's who it was, but it is a weird co-incedance that she and that voice sound alike. Oh, and I would go back to that comic shop, except I live in Ohio now, and it happened while I lived in Texas, so that's a definate impossibility, unless I go visit the family again later in the years.
