Character Name: Lord Hepaxuris, the Sculptor of Flesh, Supreme Magistrate, The Curious Watcher

Age: Over a thousand, to the best of anyone's knowledge.

Homeworld: Unknown as yet

Statues: Dark

Side: The Order Terminus

Rank: Supreme Magistrate and First Justice of the Order Terminus

Element: Lightning, Fire, Darkness

Description: No one in a thousand years has seen Lord Hepaxuris without his mask and cloak. If there is any flesh within the airtight leather wrappings and brass rivets, any face behind the silver mirror and black cowl, any soul behind the mark of suffering, no one living seems to know. While not a towering colossus of evil, this small, shadowy figure carries with him an indelible air of menace, as well as an entourage of special Servitor Nobodies led by the fearsome Arbiters.

Personality: Cold and almost mathematical, more so than most Nobodies of his power, while every bit as ambitious and ruthless in his pursuit of power. However, he is still an honorable Nobody, and will trade his services for a fair price to virtually anyone. He is also a technical pacifist, and will not personally attack anyone even if they should attack him, leaving them to the mercy of his Servitors. The only time he will bring his terrible Caduceus to bear is when sitting in "Judgment" over a captured foe of significant power.

Weapon(s): The Caduceus: an ebony staff around which two silver serpents entwine, their ruby eyes glowing with concentrated hate and suffering. A single blow can fracture bones, rend flesh, shatter solid rock, and banish even stronger Heartless and Nobodies back into the darkness.

Summons: None as such, but can summon and command Servitor and Arbiter Nobodies.

Bio(Before SOTH): The founder of the Order Terminus first appeared a thousand years ago, a solitary Nobody with a burning curiosity toward the reconfiguration of others of his kind. At first he seemed more or less harmless, and his experiments on Dusk and other lesser Nobodies went unnoticed and unhampered. His first Servitors were first noticed many years later, spider-like hybrids of Dragoon and Assassin built primarily to assist his further work with larger Nobodies. After at least a century, to the best of anyone's reckoning, the Inquisitor and his cabal simply vanished without a trace, though it was rumored at the time that he had created something terrible from a Twilight Thorn.

Over the next five hundred years, the Supreme Magistrate himself was never seen, though his pale, red-trimmed Servitors and Arbiters- strong-willed true-form Nobodies improved with arcane implants and demonic grafts- would be seen on many worlds, collecting countless thousands of mortals, Heartless and Nobodies for "Judgment." None of these unfortunates were ever seen or heard from again, and the ranks of the Order's army began to grow.

The next century is a blank spot in the history books of any world touched by the Order Terminus. Surviving records tell of violent purges, cruel interrogations carried out in public squares, cities laid to waste and whole worlds left deserted in the Order's wake. Any place where the Heartless grew strong, or any place where heroes of light became common, became an immediate target, and no mercy was shown to either side. For nearly one hundred years, the Supreme Magistrate and his Arbiters terrorized and devastated innumerable worlds. Then, without warning or explanation, Lord Hepaxuris packed up his army and walked away, leaving behind scattered detachments of Servitors with no support and no commanders. While many of these were exterminated at once by the people they had once conquered, some managed to escape retaliation for many years.

The last sighting of any member of the Order Terminus was over a hundred years ago, and while the rest of the universe sighed in relief, a few among those who watch chose to wait and see, knowing that the one who called himself "Supreme" would not simply sit on his laurels. His inaction during what has since been dubbed the "XIII Crisis" remains unexplained, as the few Arbiters converted before the Organization's founding refuse to speak of it, on Lord Hepaxuris' orders.

Bio(Strength of the Heart): Five years ago, immediately after the Battle of the Eclipse, a legion of Servitors descended on several worlds on the very edge of light, terrorizing but not actually attacking or capturing anyone. It was remarked at the time that they "seemed to just be passing through," and a number of them were seen carrying very advanced machinery. Having raised a ruckus, they vanished as suddenly as they'd appeared, their destination a mystery and their leader still unseen.

Bio(Current): Servitors have been popping up on nearly every world, in pairs and threes and occasionally dozens, but never seen for more than minutes at a time, and none take any action yet. Either they're lost, or they're scouting for some major campaign. Either way, those who predicted their return are waiting with baited breath and pen in hand to chronicle the return of the Order Terminus...

The following was salvaged from the half-burnt journal of an unknown explorer, found among the wreckage of his Gummi ship.

"...hundreds of them, all cloaked and hooded but I could feel them staring at me, judging me. It was horrible...like facing down a thousand of your own mother when you KNOW she caught you red-handed.

I was dragged up to a podium before what they called the Bench- thirteen seats behind a sloping obsidian crescent, so that the seats at the points were both below and forward from the center. I counted thirteen seats, all filled.

By now, Helene was incoherent with fear, Tobias and Lynette just sat there in tears, clinging to each other like they were going to be executed instead of tried.

Me? I was scared past the point of jibbering and came all the way back around into calm again.

The one in the high center seat was dressed different from the others- black robes instead of white, but with the same red etchings as all the others. His face was hidden not by his hood but by a silvered mask etched with a pattern that made my head hurt just to look at, and I could have sworn it moved if I looked too long. He had a staff in his hand, two silver snakes around the head of it, which he raised to call the whole farce to order.

Tobias was the first to go. They read off all the things he'd done like they could read his mind, and the poor fool couldn't think clearly enough to plead not guilty. They didn't even wait for the rest of us to be "judged," they just tore him apart right in front of us like a rag doll. It was enough to break Lynette completely- which was fortunate for her, because it meant she was unconscious when they "recycled" her.

Helene...she put up one hell of a defense. She challenged the authenticity of their records, the honesty of their witnesses, the very authority by which they claimed to judge her.

They reacted by showing me what she did to Claudia.

Before I could even move, Lynette vaulted the podium and lunged at the one they called "Supreme Magistrate."

That staff...

All it left behind was her scream, hanging in the air like some obscene invisible banshee...

I must have snapped too, then, because the next thing I knew, I was falling from a balcony to the mountainside below the fortress. I don't know how I made it back to my ship, but I know one thing.

I won't let them catch me again!
