Yup, aside from any discussions that pop up or are shamelessly stolen from elsewhere on Gaia, there's a general discussion here for anything of interest. (Or otherwise..)
Now, I'm basically using it for shallow and selfish purposes..

Now, William.
When did you have vodka for you to hate it so much?

Invictus_88 Now, William.
When did you have vodka for you to hate it so much? Let's see, I tried some of the ordinary vodka and the chile vodka. They both seem utterly pointless. They taste of pretty much nothing. It's sole purpose seems to be to get people smashed out of there skulls.

Hm, it is fairly bland. The chilli-pepper version excepted.
It's alright for mixing though. I mean, you can hardly say that Gin has much more flavour than a Vodka does..

I like Vodka, though that may be because from the few types of alcohol I've tried, it was the best tasting. I'm sure I'll eventually try something I like better.

I mostly like vodka because you can mix it with pretty much anything. Certainly not the best to drink by itself, but it was designed to a) just get drunk off of, and b) to be able to mix well with lots of things.

Am I the only one who truly despises beer? I know it's popular, but I just don't like it. At all. I think it's nasty. I only use it in cooking. I cam't stand to drink it.

It's probably evolved to be mixed, but it began in Russia and they drink it neat.
The scary buggers.

Some beer is alright...Kantebrau and all that other cheap stuff, but only because it doesn't taste like beer.

Beer, not that great and highly overrated. Wine, sour grape juice. Vodka, gin, might as well drink straight rubbing alcohol. tastes and smells the same.
Now whiskeys, burbons and Scotches, they're nice. My personal favorite is Jack Daniel's, closely follwed by Jamison Irish whiskey, MacLleland's Scotch, then trailed by Jim Bean. They have a good flavor to them and I enjoy the taste.
I find everyting else to be a waste.
