My Name Is ZORA how did you get to Fashion-G? My friend Gigglex (GigglesGurl... who is currently in the hospital and quit gaia due to this)... told me to check in... FG has had to suffer me switch accounts, screenames, hiatuses, temporary quitting and whatnot... its been 2 or 3 years since my orginial arrival... @.@;;... i have grown attached to this thread because if you look at it... : you know all your regulars and their personalities by the second or third day of talking to them and the environment is user friendly (its hard not to be happy when here... and everyone is always there for each other when one needs to vent and or needs advice). It moves pretty slow moving... but that is good for FG due to the fact that people dont get lost and trampled over... everyone knows everyone due to this fact... FG is like a small family if you look at it one way =D... >.<;; <333

Masa Uta How did you come to FG?
I found a banner being advertised in someone's signature. I do not remember whose signature it was.
I like FG and I have kept coming back because this charity gives Gaians chances to express their individual creativity with the hope of obtaining a cash prize. FG is a unique experience.

Tickle Your Fancy How did you come to FG? I saw it on the charity form and instantly fell in love. Honestly, I have no idea what I'd do without FG being in my no-life, you guys have made my gaia life an exciting and fun experience. I think it's more than just a charity its like a little close-knit family. Also I think its nice FG is more slower paced because you get to see what everyone says without "BUMPAGE!" in the way. Thank-you FG for being FG!

MischieviousAndDemented how did i get to Fashion-G? i had noticed it in Calyspo Reborn's siggy. then noticed it again while under a mule. then came in and checked it out. also had previously met Uma at Caly's bday thread. after hanging around in the shadows. i got talking and now you guys can not shut me up! lolz^^

Well... As usual I was surfing the charity forum for some interesting place and found FG. Initially FG's tektek contest is the one which attracted me to start chatting there. I kind of love dressing up with tektek. So Hehe...
What made me stay? *thinks*

And a few others whom I really love chatting with. I have never felt so comfortable before and I decided to stay. >.<Give me some? =3

_l- f e r m a t a -l_ Hoo boy. I came to FG around May/June of this year [?]
and have enjoyed it ever since.
Everyone in FG is always welcoming and suportive of each other
and new people that pop in as well. Many other threads don't even glance your way if you're a newcomer.
And being a slowmoving thread, people will surely get noticed.
It's never uncomfortable to talk about something. :]
I stay at FG because I love all you guys. 4laugh

ALittleDelirious Here's my answer to the question! It all began after I met rhisa and we started hanging out in each other's quest threads. She had told me about this awesome charity she stopped by every once in a while, and at first I thought "Okay, just another charity somebody stumbled onto. Meh."
Then I saw Uma visit rhisa's thread, and I wondered how rhisa had met a mod. I learned that the thread was actually overseen by Uma, and this both piqued my curiosity and made me feel a little intimidated. Although in real life I have numbered both homeless folk and Sri Lankan royalty among my casual friends, for some reason it's easier to feel a kind of social distance between fellow human beings when they are in positions of perceived power in webbernets communities :b
Obviously, though, I got over my silly "I'm-not-worthy" reaction, and late in June of 2008 I ventured into FG. Immediately I felt welcome and relaxed! What first struck me and has made me a loyal returnee ever since is that there is no real elite in this charity. Of course the people who have been here from the start deserve and rightfully receive respect, but they neither demand grovelling nor ostracize any newcomer through closed in-group conversations.
In their own special way, every person in this charity is both a hobo and a monarch to me :3 heart

Bellevi Hmm... I don't remember when I came to FG. I think it was in Fall '06. I like it because the regulars are always friendly; if a new person comes in, they're not ignored, like they might be in other threads. I also like that people here have so many different styles of avis. You learn each other's personal style. There's also no drama. We all get along here. It's good that it's slow moving because you don't have to search through pages and pages to see if somebody responded to what you said. Ooh, I also like how we refer to regulars by their old usernames, even if they change them.

MonkieXD How did i come to FG? A long time ago, when I did have a quest thread. I was looking around the charity forum looking for potential helpful charities, and I came upon FG! I've been to many threads before, but I never got so attached to any of them. FG on the other hand, is special because it provided me a place to make new friends, at the same time help me have totally awesome avatars with the expertise and help provide by fellow FGers. So that's how I ended up staying around for quite a long time. Of course, there are breaks once in while that I take, cause life just gets way to busy. But whenever I have time, I'll always stop by! heart

calypso reborn I've been in FG when I was still using my original account. I started Gaia back in April 2007 as calypso-maru. I believe I was a couple of months into Gaia when I stumbled upon the charities section and saw FG from the List of Charities. And of all Charities, I was drawn to FG because it's the most challenging for me so far. So I cooked up a 15k outfit and started an entry which required being active in the thread In the course of waiting for that announcement, I find the people in FG are very friendly and accomodating. So I made sure I drop by everyday to talk to these people, until it became habitual. Then the announcement of who won came and went and it didn't bother me one bit that I didn't win but still continued to submit entries and post until on my 5th submission, I finally won. ^_^ but that didn't make me stop coming back to FG. I considered FG like a home on that week that I submitted my first entry. All that I've learned on how to survive in Gaia I learned through FG. As you all know, I was banned twice but It was in FG that I keep coming back. And to be honest, It was FG that made me stay despite being banned. Im proud to be a member of FG and as long as Im in Gaia, FG will always be my home.

My friend pointed me towards the charity forum and that list and I really liked the idea behind FG. At first I did not have enough posts, so I added it to my subscriptions and checked for a week if it wasn't moving to fast... After that week I kinda tried to bump in the conversation and hurray, even though my timezone is off, I was not ignored... XD That made me stay. smile When I reached the 500 posts I immediately made a submission, entered 'bout 10-15 times in total and then I quit entering. I still feel that it's unfair to enter now, since I think I have enough, I don't need the charity anymore. I entered this year mainly when there were just a few entries... smile 'bout my 'job' here, when Uma asked for help, I applied. All the forums I've been so far, I apply when people need help. I like to help out threads or forums to make sure that the place I love keeps going. I've had several fun forums here on Gaia that died and every time it makes me feel bad. Some people I still speak to, because their in my friends list, but it's definitally not the same. That's a thing I love about FG too, I always know it's still there... wink Plus that I know that I can drop anything that's on my mind there and that it's not being ignored completely. ~Jode

Nonnaihr my friend yelly, who was a regular in FG, introduced me and I know her IRL. She's a sweet heart and in my room right now, haha. But anyway, that's how I learned about it.
