1. Do elements play an important role in your spirituality? If not, would you like them to?
2. Do you think you would have more fun if you had a place all to your own to type and share? Like a spiritual journal, or book of shadows even?
3. Would you be more excited about this guild if we had frequent events, like new considerations per week?
4. Should we have an activity planning committee?
5. How can we get more people to join?
6. Should we have regular prompts for critical thinking discussions to share our opinions?
7. Should said activity planning committee arrange holiday events as well?
8. Should we have a gaia lotto?
9. Should we have period where whoever posts the most, lets say in like a 2 month period, wins a cash-shop evolving item?
10. Should we elect a school of thought to consider and explore together regularly?

Viscerim 1. Do elements play an important role in your spirituality? If not, would you like them to? I guess, as a basic symbolic system. I don't really "work with them". Viscerim 2. Do you think you would have more fun if you had a place all to your own to type and share? Like a spiritual journal, or book of shadows even? That'd be neat (if you are, as I assume, going to make a new subforum for such). Viscerim 3. Would you be more excited about this guild if we had frequent events, like new considerations per week? That could be cool, but I doubt many folk would participate. It's a big commitment. Viscerim 4. Should we have an activity planning committee? Again, may not be of great use if people don't participate. Viscerim 5. How can we get more people to join? Advertise on the Forums for Gaia Guilds; add banners to signatures, provide rewards for recruitment drives. Viscerim 6. Should said activity planning committee arrange holiday events as well? Holiday events would be good, if you kept them going for like a week or two. I like this idea. =] Viscerim 8. That'd really get people going, although I worry if the quality of posts may deteriorate; why not an item for winning a poll for Most Interesting Posts? Viscerim 10. Should we elect a school of thought to consider and explore together regularly? That would be cool. I'm definitely for it. Viscerim, I like how you introduce interactive elements into the guild (like the exploring different schools of thought as a guild), as well as the Assignments subforum. They're definitely your strength: I think you should gear the guild towards interaction like that. =]

Yess... although more in theory than in practice, I think. But I'm working towards revamping my practice a little (again) and so this might change. I work with the four classical elements.
2. Do you think you would have more fun if you had a place all to your own to type and share? Like a spiritual journal, or book of shadows even?
In the guild? I dunno. I have a spiritual journal on LJ. I don't really see why anything more would be important... it could turn into a bit of a soap box. A better idea might be a subforum where you can share things that are important to you, like the Charge of the Goddess or whatever.

New topics to consider, you mean? I dunno, I'm not sure making things more structured would change much really.

I don't think a committee is really necessary.
5. How can we get more people to join?
Links in sigs work well - don't just have a banner and expect people to click on it, because they don't. I've found it works better to say something about your guild and then have a link to it. A recruitment thread on the guilds forum is a good idea as well. Make sure you explain the guild rather than just putting up a link and asking people to join.

Those are always fun.

Depends, I guess. We'd all have different holidays.

As far as the school of thought thing goes, I was even thinking investigating different belief structures. Something we could investigate, practice with, and share, and while doing that, those who are here more to learn about themselves would hopefully find elements that speak to them.
Thank you very much for your input so far ^_^ Keep it comin'. Meanwhile, I'll try and refine my direction and produce more surveys.

My believe system is not yet defined, and forever changing with whatever thoughts, ideas, and new information enters my head. But yes, the elements, whether they be 4 or 5, or more, do play a role. (I think I should start a topic about it in the philosophy section! what a great idea!)

Me, no. Not much happens to me. But there might be stuff that happens to others that they might want....yeah look to the other posts for info on this one.

New considerations? Like our Stone of the Week and Herb of the Week? I like those "Of The Week" ideas, and events like the holidays and such might be fun.
4. Should we have an activity planning committee?
Depends on if we want to do activities. If it was just the holidays that we celebrate together, then we might not need a committee. But if we wanted to do a bunch or different events or anything, then yeah a committee might be neat, or even assign one or two people to be the head of it, and then for random things the guild can vote.

Advertise? Invite anyone you know? Put a pic in your sig?

YES! Critical thinking rocks! The problem is the regular thing. We all have different scheduals, etc. and might not be able to get here all the time. But then again, every week or second week isn't too bad. But definitely, posts that stimulate critical thinking about stuff would be neat.

As I said, if the only events are holidays (meaning holidays are events, or activities so yes they are in the same.....wait, what so you mean by activities? Did I misinterpret?) .... {And this question should have followed directly after question 4. Thought I'd point that out, if it hadn't been done already}

Might be neat, if you really wanted to do that.

Again, might be neat, and might stir up business, as is the phrase. Yeah, if you're willing to give away prizes like that, it might be a neat idea.

Could be neat. Or just change the philosophy subforum into the School of Thought....it's pretty much the same thing, isn't it? Plus it would eliminate adding more subforums and getting confusing. You could just do what MercyWild's doing for the stones and herbs of the week - have Class One or Topic One - "whatever topic is~" type thing.

-Yes elements are an integral part of my spirituality and life in all aspects
2. Do you think you would have more fun if you had a place all to your own to type and share? Like a spiritual journal, or book of shadows even?
-I think I would, currently most of my theories and other thoughts are made up of mostly random text documents and entries in notebooks.
3. Would you be more excited about this guild if we had frequent events, like new considerations per week?
-Yes defiantly, I believe it would keep guild members engaged.
4. Should we have an activity planning committee?
-I think It would be beneficial to the guild.
5. How can we get more people to join?
-Ask everyone we all know to join, also we can advertise on our myspace and facebook accounts.

-Yes

-Maybe if guild members want it.

-I wouldn’t personally be into it. But it would be fun for other guild members.
