The Rules

Alright, I'm sure you all know the drill. There are rules for the guild that you all must follow, or I'm going to have to ban you. That would make me sad, so please don't do it.

Rule 1: Follow the Gaia TOS. Know them, love them, live them people as you have to follow them everywhere on the site.

Rule 2: Follow standard rules of English Grammer. I will keep a list of those for whom English is not their first language, and will handle them on a case by case basis. Otherwise, type coherently. I understand that no one is perfect, and I'm not expecting perfection. I am expecting legibility.

Rule 3: Emoticons do not consititute a complete post.

Rule 4: Don't purpose a theory unless you are willing to back it up with some canon proof. Speaking of which...

Rule 5: Canon is definied as anything in the six current books, Quidditch through the Ages, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them,
J.K. Rowling's Official site (and only her official site), and interviews. Anything else is NOT canon and will not be treated as such.

Rule 6: Cite your text correctly. Include the book its from, the edition (e.g. US Paperback vs UK), and the page number. I would prefur it if anything quoted from an interview or book was contained with in quote tags, but if you forget I won't hold it against you.

Rule 7: Don't post fan art or fan fiction in seperate threads. There is a sticky for that.

Rule 8: Discussing rumors IS a valid discussion.

Rule 9: No ship bashing. Everyone is entitled to like whom they will. Yes, this does include slash pairings.

More to come if needed.

The Consequences

I am personally a person who believes in chances. You have up to three chances to break the rules, and after that you will be banned.

If you feel that you were justified in breaking the rule, or have a valid explination, you are allowed to PM either myself or a crew member an appeal the accusation. The appeal will have to be approved by myself and two other crew members before it is valid to ensure that favoritism hasn't come into play.
