The Story
Well I started this band RP quite some time ago. It went incredibly well, we even made a guild especially for it, however it slowly fell apart. It was a great RP though and I think it's still a good idea and could turn out to be alot of fun again. If anyone wants to check out the old stuff just search for Small Town Rebels in guilds.
Anyways, the story. It's pretty basic. It's just a group of kids in a small town that have a band and are trying to make it into the big times. We'll probably start it with the manager (whoever that may be) getting them a gig in the near future. I know it's not much of a plot, but if it goes like last time there will be plenty of plot.

Rules
I'm pretty sure you guys know the rules by now, but just in case...
1. Follow all Gaia rules obviously.
2. Be nice to everyone.
3. No god moding.
4. No cybering. Take it else where.
5. If you had an old character from the old STR you can use it, but otherwise make up your own characters.
6. Be as active as you can. I know we are all busy, but atleast a post a week would be great.
7. Don't always be making one line posts. I know sometimes that's all that's needed, but don't make a habit of it if you get what I mean.
8. I think that's all but I will add new rules if I need to.

So she’s pretty tall, about 5ft 10in and pretty thin. She as bright emerald green eyes. Her hair is jet black because she dyed it that way and it is cut really short on one side and almost chin length on the other and kinda like edgey and choppy looking. She also has streaks of hair she likes to dye different colors. Her skin is pale. Her wardrobe is pretty relaxed. Mostly rocker tees and jeans. That’s pretty much it. Personality: Raine can be pretty self contained when you first meet her. Usually cause she's trying to get a feel for the person. But when you really know her she is crazy and loud and just weird at times, but alot of fun. She dreams of life out of the town that they live it, but she doesn't know what she'd do out there without her family and friends. Favorite Type of Music: She listens to everything. Appearance: He’s tall, about 6’2”. Dark hair that falls into his eyes which are a golden sort of brown. He is somewhat muscular, but mostly just thin. Often wears a leather jacket.
Personality: Kind of a jerk at times. Likes to have a good time. Not the most reliable guy.

((I can't really sleep so I'm gonna go ahead and start this thing...))
Raine rolled over in her bed not wanting to open her eyes. She feel the light shining brightly through her window, telling her it was already well after noon and time to get up. Trying to ignore it she rolled over again. After another minute or so she finally realized the sun had won again and she would be getting up.
"Stupid persistant sun..." She grumbled pushing off her covers and stretching. Now that she was awak, for the most part that is, she glanced at the clock. It read 12:45 PM. Not that late... Deciding she had enough time before the band would get there, she grabbed a towel and some clean clothes and headed to the bathroom to take a shower.
As she walked in she caught a glimpse of herself in the mirror. Her hair was all out of place and sticking up in places, she still had some black eyeliner smeared around her eyes, but that was not what caught her attention. What it did, was a deep purple mark on her neck. She sighed trying to think of how she was going to cover that up. She would never hear the end of it from her parents or friends. Damn it...I told Dustin to be careful about that but did he listen? NO! She sighed and jumped in the shower deciding to just try and cover it up.

((woah long post... O.o))
Aria had set her alarm clock the night before to make sure that she woke up in time to get ready for band practice the next day. Her alarm went off at 11am, the sweet sounds of Breaking Benjamin came rushing to her ears, quiet at first but getting louder as the seconds went by. She turned over to look at her clock. She pondered for a moment if she was going to hit the snooze button or turn it off and actually get up. She reached over and hit the off button. "There will probably be a few chores to do before I leave." She said softly to herself.
She rolled out of bed her red hair fell down around her shoulders to about her mid back. She stretched a little and then went to her closet. There she looked at the array of clothes that she had, finally pulling out a blue band tee and a red plaid skirt. Aria wasn't much on trying to make everything match. No she dressed much like one of her favorite Band manga characters, Nana. After grabbing her clothes she went to the bathroom and took a shower, go out, got dressed, dried her hair and put what little make-up she wore.
She then made he way down the stairs to the kitchen to eat something and see if there were any chores to be done. Luckily this day there was only one, empty the dishwasher. Which she did in a few minutes easily. She went into the pantry and pulled out some S'more Poptarts and went to the living room to sit down and eat and watch some TV. She thought for a moment and realized that her big brother wasn't there. "Must be at his girlfriends again." She said. He was only a year older but still had a bit more freedom then she did. She hated it, if she had a boyfriend, she would never be aloud to stay the night at his place. She sighed and flipped through the channels. Finally getting to Fuse there she left it and watched the different music videos. She would sit there till it was a few minutes to go to Raine's house for practice.

The day had been productive for Evalyn and it wasn't even one yet! After getting up, drinking a cup of hot green tea, and brushing her teeth, Evalyn threw on a pair of dark jeans and a fitted emerald tee-shirt under a black jacket with comfortable black boots. Layered, shoulder-length blonde hair was straightened to where whisps gracefully fell into her face and green eyes. Her make-up consisted of the usually powder, mascara, and green eyeshadow; it was obvious that green wasa her favorite color. Considering herself presentable, she headed out the door and to her car.
Ever since graduating high school she took different classes at the community college, not really knowing what she wanted to. It would be nice if she and the rest of the band could make music thier living, but Evalyn liked having a back-up plan. She had been taking a few classes a semester, and this semester she had an economy class, a chemistry class, and a psychology class. They were only three days a week and she was done at eleven on those days. None of them pointed to any specific degree, she just picked classes that looked interesting to her.
After class she had stopped and grabbed a sandwhich at a local resteraunt before heading to Raine's house. The current moment found the blonde young woman blasting her favorite Nightwish CD in her car. It was hard for her not to sing along, but she knew she had to save her voice for practice today.

Done with her shower feeling refreshed and smelling of coconut Raine readied herself for the day. She pulled on her pair of black jeans and a green tank top that matched her eyes. Quickly she ran a brush through her hair and then used her fingers to work in some pomade. She then put on a simple layer of make up, foundation, eyeliner, pale silver eyeshadow, and some chap stick. Then she turned her attention to the thing on her neck. No matter how much make up she put on it though it was not enough to disguise the hickie. Growling at it she knew she would have to cover it up another way.
Peaking her head out of the bathroom door she could see that the hall was clear. So she darted from the bathroom to her room. She opened her closet and rummaged through it for a few moments. Finally she found the purple fuzzy scarf her mom had gotten her for christmas last year. She wrapped around her neck and checked it out in the mirror. Good enough. Just don't take off the scarf.
Satisfied as she could be, Raine grabbed her ipod and headed down stairs to the kitchen. She sat down and ate a bowl of Cinnamon Toast Crunch blaring Backstreet Boys as she did. Luckily it seemed as though everyone was out doing their own thing so she didn't have to explain the unnecessary scarf.

After watching Fuse for almost 2 hours Aria forced herself off the couch and up to her room. She stood in front of the mirror she had and messed with her hair for a while. After messing with it, she put it in its normal style, pig tails. They seemed to suit her and it was easy. She couldn't complain. She went into her closet and got her black boots and a pair of white knee high socks. She sat on her bed and put them on.
She then searched her room for her book bag, once found she opened it and saw that her sketch book and vast array of drum sticks were still in there. She smiled "Alright," She looked around her room one more time "I think thats everything...Oh yeah." She lunged over her bed to reach her night stand and pulled her iPod off her iHome and her phone off the charger, and placed them in her bag.
She ran down the stairs to the kitchen once more to grab a can of coke and her car keys. She went out the front door and hopped into her metallic blue Mazda 3. Hooked up her iPod and turned some Breaking Benjamin on and headed down the road to Raine's house for practice.

Currently trapped in a classroom was a very bored adult. Tapping his pencil against his notebook, Russ stared blankly at the teacher who was droning on and on in a monotone about art history. Russ pulled out his cell phone and looked at the time. God, there was still another hour worth of the class. If only Russ had taken his Fine Art credit his freshman year. He would probably be out with the band watching them practice, instead of sitting here amonst other bored students. Russ half heartedly hoped that the band would call him right then and there, asking for a ride somewhere. Russ had started driving the van everywhere, despite the stares it drew. He never knew exactly when he needed to pick the band up for something. Then again, he couldn't exactly miss this class. A test was coming up, and Russ was close to failing. With a groan, Russ slouched in his chair and leaned his head back, neck braced against the chair top. He ran a gloved hand through his brown hair. I seriously hope the teacher will let us out early!

The sun beat down on the pale 19, nearly 20, year old through the windshield of her silver Cavalier. Much like the singer herself when she was off-stage, the car wasn't the flashiest but it got the job done. Many people didn't believe Evalyn when she told them that she was a singer in a band; she was a somewhat reserved person. But the moment she steps on stage she transforms into a completely different person; she could really get the crowd going and into the songs, even the ones they were covering, and that's what set her apart.
Her voice wasn't anything too special, not being high like most other female singers, but more of a middle range that allowed her to sound good when singing songs usually sung by men. At the higher end of her range it was smooth, but it took on more of the grovelly(sp?) sound often associated with rock music in general when she sang in a lower octave. She knew that most other bands wouldn't take her because of all this, but Raine and the others had given her a chance, and she was going to make the most of it.
It wasn't long before she finally pulled into Raine's driveway. Getting out of the car, she removed her sunglasses and headed up to the front door and knocked.
