This is the place to talk about all the great shows you liked that got caned way too soon, or just after one season (or 1 & 1/2). Share what you liked about it, ponder why it got cut short, theroize what would have happened next.

I miss a show from 2001 called Wolf Lake. It was a good show with a great cast and an interesting plot but it suffered from lack of promotion and a changing time which drove viwers away and got it cancled to soon.

There is a summary:
Seattle police detective John Kanin has a problem. He's in love, but shortly after agreeing to marry him, his girlfriend disapears. His search leads to her home town, where people are clearly hiding information from him. One of the things they are hiding is the fact that they are all wolves, as is John's girlfriend, Ruby.

Did anyone else watch this show or are familiar with it?

There was a cool show called Fastlane That was on a few years ago. It was good and had good viewership but was cancled anyway after 1 season. Just resently it came out on DVD which makes me happy but would have made me happier was if it had continued.

Fastlane follows two renegade cops, LAPD officer Van Ray (Peter Facinelli, The Inside) and former gang member now NYPD narcotics cop Deaqon Hayes (Bill Bellamy, Cousin Skeeter), as they go undercover to catch the most elite criminals in Los Angeles, while searching for the ones that killed Deaq's estranged brother and Van's partner, Andre. Led by their no-nonsense boss, LAPD Lieutenant Billie Chambers (Tiffani Thiessen, Beverly Hills, 90210), they have full access to The Candy Store, a downtown warehouse full of confiscated expensive goodies, such as Ducatis, Ferraris, and Rolexes. These 'fifty-one percent cops and forty-nine percent criminals' have the ultimate backstage pass to blend right into the glamorous world of high-stakes crime.

I loved the show New Amsterdam...

New York City homicide detective John Amsterdam is cursed with immortality because he stopped the murder of a Native American girl in 1642 by stepping in front of a sword. Due to this act of kindness, the girl rescued Amsterdam from the stab wound by making him immortal, but warns that it is a curse that will only be lifted when John meets his true love.

Now, Amsterdam is a homicide detective in the Big Apple where he shares his secret with Omar, a blues club owner with a few secrets of his own. John is partnered up with Eva Marquez and gets into a chase with a suspect. When he suffers what appears to be a heart attack and is revived by ER doctor Sara Dillane, he realizes that mortality may be closer then he thought.

I thought it was a wonderful idea and it was well thought out. The actors were great and you could relate to them. All was going well too until the network f u c k e d it over. Many people were into this show and supported it. I hated what happened to it. Did anyone else see it? What did you think?

I second that, I thought it was great but it just didn't get the backing it deserved.

It was no masterpiece by any means, but I loved 'Complete Savages'. I wish it was still on, because I thought it was one of the few sitcoms that was actually funny.

I saw New Amsterdam, and I thought it was pretty good. Why did they cancel it?

I loved all the show you mention (wolf lake, New Amsterdam, Fastlane) they were all amazing shows.

I really want Moonlight to come back, they ended right when it started getting good and interesting.

Firefly didn't even get one full season, gorramit!

And Serenity is cold comfort - it tied up some of the loose ends, but there are still plenty left hanging, and it just didn't have the same scruffy, dusty, lived-in, down-to-earth charm as the TV show, if you know what I mean.
