Before I get into the actual roleplay portion of my, well, roleplay, I must say I already have this one in the regular Gaia forums. I just wanted to see what happens when I place it in a guild just for roleplaying. Looking at the other roleplay that's up, I feel so inadaquate. I see these posts with more than a paragraph, and all I can get is one at the most. Yes, I do classify myself as semi-lit. That's what makes it so hard for me to find roleplays that I can actually do.
Sort of got off topic there. Anyways, I thought I'd try this roleplay for one last time. Enjoy!

Story You are walking down the streets of NYC. Nothing seems out of the ordinary. In your hand is a flyer that is actually all around town. You see your destination up ahead. A normal looking comic book store called "J&G's Comic". This comic book store is run by twin brother and sister. Inside, it looks pretty normal too. Both brother and sister are behind the counter. Employees helping customers. You go up to the front desk where you show the owners the flyer, which advertises a way you can get super hero costumes, or become your own. The owners smile and invite you behind the counter, where there is a door. Behind the door is a staircase leading down. You think nothing of it, or at least, not until you see where the stairs lead. For this comic book store is not your ordinary store. Below the store is a gigantic room split into two by a concrete wall. There are no windows, only a door in the wall. Behind that wall, is a laboratory. The twins, Jordan and Gordon, are greedy geniuses. They turn unsuspecting people like you into superheroes. Why? Because they get money for taking you to comic conventions and to little kids parties. You don't really get a say in what hero you become. After the experiment, you lose your freedom. You get taken into one of the jail cells that line the walls of the other half of the room.
The jail cells themselves aren't much. You get a cot, a bathroom full of items prearranged. The door to the cell is made of a special glass substance that can withstand any powers, or so they say. No one has been able to escape.
In the middle of the second half of the room, is a chamber made of the same material as the jail cell doors. This is where all the experiments are allowed to interact. There's one TV. and some games. Not much there.

Profiles! Before I get into the profile structure, there is some thing you need to know. I have three different things you can be. Oh, and powers don't have to be limited to heroes only. If you want, your experiment can turn you into a villain also. But I'm just going to call them heroes so I don't have to go back and forth.
You can be one of my made up ones. I'm not going to put everything down in these profiles. I will put names and powers and who and why they went to the comic book store; but you can fill in everything else.
There are the superheroes. Those are ones you make up; but please don't make up your own super hero. Take one from a comic book. I will allow NO GODS. So sorry all you fans of Loki, Thor, the Enchantress and the Executioner. 10 slots available. All these people were unwilling experiments. Yes, I know, the flyer advertised that you can become one, but not everyone can realize that there is experimentation involved.
Then there are the goons. They work for Jordan and Gordon. They were experimented on willingly. There are 10 slots available, but it is broken down for the goons as thus: 1 goon works out front to attract customers. He has to have a power. There are 2 goons who work in the store. They must be human, sorry folks. The other 7 goons are guards. Not all of them have to have a power, but these goons watch over the experiments to make sure they don't escape.

Bio:Lucrezia has spent the majority of her life reading comic books and playing video games, she found the flyer beside her apartment building and decided to check it out since she is a regular customer at the shop.
Superhero or Goon: Spider-Woman

Lucrezia lay on the floor, though she was awake she did not move, every part of her body felt odd and the sensations she experienced when she moved made her feel.... dizzy.
She sighed and continued to stare at the ceiling, something had happening to her and whatever it was kept her caged in this godforsaken cell; She yearned for her freedom, so much so that she couldn't breath... she ached for it.
Slowly Lucrezia stood up, everything just seemed so... heightened. She was slowly realizing that she had obtained powers... not just any powers either.... Her idol had always been Spider-Woman and it seemed as though she had gotten her powers. Lucrezia shook her head at the thought... What if she had the Pheromone generation? That could cause some problems.....
She suddenly began to laugh, it was a wild, strange sound but she paid it no mind; Something inside of her grew angry and she began screaming and kicking at the walls and glass, anything to get their attention but it was futile. With a strangled cry she slumped down onto the ground, weeping a little as she curled up in the fetal position.

MJ sat in a corner of the glass chamber. Her head leaned back onto wall. One knee was bent and she had an arm draped over it. Her wings were folded behind her. She liked coming to this commonplace early. Her room was too confining, what with her wing span and all. One bad thing about this commonplace was that all of the people who she had attracted to the store could cause a fight with her. Or at least, that's what MJ thought. She didn't know if any of the other experiments had forgiven her. The one person whose forgiveness she really wanted was her brothers. She had tried to steer him away from the store, but he was insistent on seeing where she worked. Now he was in the same boat as her. No where to go. Everyday wondering if they would see the light of day or regular people. That was one thing they all had to look for. The comic conventions and the little kids parties.

Lucrezia was lying beside her small cot that she supposed her captors must have thought was good enough for a slave. She sighed loudly and pulled herself off the floor, she raged inwardly at the injustice of all this and she began pacing her cell like a lion in a cage.
Finally she exploded "Would somebody tell me what the ******** is going on?" she demanded, kicking the wall angrily.

MJ lifted her head as she heard one of the other captors yell out. That was the only good, or bad, thing about the walls in this place. You were able to talk to each other easily; but depending on where your cell was and the cell of the person you wanted to talk to, it was better to go in the coomon area. "You were turned into a freak newcomer. You're below the bookstore itself."

Lucrezia sighed and sat down on her cot "A freak?" she asked softly "What are they going to do with us?"
Her whole body felt off kilter, she began to stretch her arms when suddenly she yelped loudly, something had just shot out of her hands!
She flexed again, and something that seemed like energy came out of her hands again. The comic book nerd kicked in and she couldn't help but be in awe as she realized she recognized the power.....
"So what kind of freak are you?" she asked tentatively to the voice, her mind was reeling like mad, trying to figure out her situation.

MJ shrugged. "They make us go to comic book conventions or any conventions that require people with super heroes. And little kids parties. You'd be amazed at how many kids love to have heroes at parties. Basically we're money makers." MJ stood up and stretched her wings out. Holding them too close to her body hurt. "Me? I'm supposed to be Hawkgirl."
