Character Name: Medea Ender, alias
Age: 19, August 29
Homeworld: Unknown (Destroyed by Darkness), The World that Never Was (Abandoned), Midgar
Statues: Twilight
Side: Chasers
Rank: Chasers of the Keys
Element: Shadow, Fire
Description: Though hardly recognizable anymore, Medea even now still stands with a dainty stature of about five-foot-four inches tall. Her physique, now leaner than before, remains as the light and nimble build she had always endured her days with.
Long, dark silvery hair that reaches just to her elbows and those oddly beautiful, colorless eyes that make her stand out more than she would like to, are just some of her most noticeable features. She has incredibly light skin in contrast to her now relatively darker hair; virtually immune to sunlight, and ethereal in the light of the moon. Both her pretty face and her big round eyes possess a sort of timeless innocence most do not, thus making her seem vulnerable to those who have yet to taste her blade.
Medea possesses an odd smile that borders on the thin line between delight and sorrow.
Personality: As a normal citizen, Medea is a friendly young lady who shows only kindness to the people around her. With a warm nature and a slightly sad smile, she can be quite the mysterious one as well. Conservative and painfully straightforward to most, she is one usually considered by the people around her as slow or dense. She is playful and is enjoyable to be around, but can be rather timid at times. Her caring nature and concern for others are just some of her good traits.
Her innocence is something most find intriguing about her. To others, tempting mischief and mayhem. Medea always had been a magnet for trouble. In reality, perhaps her being a child at heart never left her after all.
But when in uniform, she can only be as ruthless as a situation calls. There are times when she’s unusually quiet, thinking before even doing or saying anything, but executing any task perfectly after. Then again, there are also times when she does the complete opposite, acting without haste and stubbornly pursuing just about anything once she's decided. Once she has her heart and mind set on something, it would be near impossible to convince her otherwise.
Her sense of justice is higher than most, and after everything from before, she believes that she can no longer be afraid to put her life on the line for the safety of somebody else.
She does have a tendency of mindlessly attacking people she’s afraid works for
Shinra, though. The girl dreads the thought of having to go back and endure their experiments again. Medea may appear tough and brave in most situations, but she hides a dire trauma of being confined in dark, solitary places—of being alone, against the cold.
Weapon(s):
Normal Weapons
> Guns
> Panic Daggers
Special Weapons
>Limit: Limit is a glass-like sword that radiates with a heavenly glow, believed to have been created from the Lifestream itself many eons ago. It will cut only to protect, deal damage only as strong as its wielder’s heart, and will do absolutely no damage while its wielder’s heart contains even the slightest trace of ill will. The sword will shatter instantaneously when it falls into the hands of a dark heart. It can hold only one materia. Use of this blade will increase amount of damage dealt by an opponent.
>Shackle: Shackle is an onyx, seven-bladed sword forged with a pure crystallized Mako that existed only several eons ago. Existing as the polar opposite of Limit, it radiates with dark energy. It is strong as diamond rock, and can cut through virtually anything. Use of this blade will silence the wielder, but heighten her speed and power.
>Styx: Named after the legendary black river of Hell, Styx is actually a black, semi-organic creature that unites itself into the girl’s arms when summoned into combat. After attaching itself to her, it enables the girl into creating the blades of war she desires right from her limbs. But in exchange, her arms receive the amount of damage dealt while fused with Styx. It hides in the shadows when it is not with her, and emerges from the darkness whenever it is summoned by its mistress.
Combat Style(s): Medea usually fights with only one of her long-swords, since both her primary weapons can be dealt either one-handed or two-handed. She rarely shifts to her double-bladed stance, and oftentimes it only happens when she’s in a really serious battle. She's also learned how to handle a gun, as it came in handy.
She was last authorized to wield four materia.
Summons:
>Spurious Form: When Medea’s physical condition comes across a critical state, Styx turns into a chrysalis that coats the whole of the girl’s entire being, thus turning her into something one might consider a daemon. Her skin turns completely black, her eyes become hollow, glowing with the light of the moon, and her hair grows longer and more lethal under her control.
Only half of her face is not affected by the transformation, and instead it is covered with a pure white mask that attaches itself to her. In this state, Medea’s strength and senses are heightened, and her speed is increased at a monstrous rate—all at the price of a portion of her being and fragment of her sanity. Her wounds are sealed and her body is repaired, but all her strength is devoured by Styx after reverting to her original form; oftentimes rendering her unconscious.
Bio(Before SOTH): In her childhood, she lived in a kingdom where winged-creatures lived, as a princess of the heart. But after a series of events concerning the high thrones of two neighboring kingdoms, the world was engulfed by darkness. With her family luckily unharmed, young Medea was thrown into another world. For a while, they lived there as a normal family. But even there, a series of tragedies continued to come after them. Right when she fell ill with the same disease that took her mother’s life, an assassin arrived at their doorstep and erased her family. But by means she herself still doesn’t understand, she was spared—saved. Given a second chance at life, she made herself apprentice to an assassin—the skilled rogue who had apparently saved her life. But due to some casualties, the assassin was found, and she was thrown into another world with her memories no longer intact.
Bio(Strength of the Heart): Medea, then known as Sceivera, went through a vigorous journey involving her search for answers, her search for her memories, and her search for herself. From being the cruel enemy working for a dark organization, to being a friend and companion at the side battling that organization. She became something like family to a princess of the heart and her guardian, who later turned out to be the very man who saved her life in the first place. As if destiny had it be, she continued to reconnect with the people of her past, bringing her closer and closer to finding herself again. But by a twist of fate, her heart was ripped out from her chest right before she was given the chance to fully regain her memories; she was rendered soulless, and left oblivious the world around her. She was turned into a heartless, and before anything else, for a time it seemed her life had in a way ended.
Bio(Current): After miraculously regaining her heart, Medea woke up to find that she was no longer the same as before. No longer was she the young girl she last remembered herself to be, no longer with wings that could bear her in the air—she was, for the most part, human. The last she remembered before waking up was that she found herself in a vast, pure white area, alone. For a moment, she thought she was dead, but later she realized that she was just waking up. She learned there that she was resurrected because somehow, the light was returned to her.
It was unwanted, but the moment she awoke from that empty void, all her memories returned: the destruction of her homeworld, the death of all her friends and family, her travels with her new companions, then the loss of her heart, and how she regained her life. Eerily enough, she forgot nearly everyone most important to her during that time completely. She remembered some names, but as for what those names meant to her was a different story. The tragedies, however, remained painfully vivid in her memory.
Medea blamed herself for the deaths of all her loved ones, the deaths of their memory. It pained her to the point where she hated herself enough to kill herself, but she instead decided to erase the old her, and start over from scratch. Redemption.
As it is apparent, she started by changing her name. Time and travel removed her childish appearance gradually, molding her into a much more mature-looking woman—someone different from the winged disaster that was Sceivera. Although no matter how much she changed, her eyes never did—they remain the only link she has to her past self; the key to the doors of the real her.
After abandoning her old home along with her old life, for a while she submitted to traveling through worlds. She began collecting data and sought after more ways to become a stronger warrior, gathering intelligence that she believed would benefit her. Along the way, she came across a child who tended to her wounds after a life-threatening encounter in a dead land, and later found that she had been the one to kill the man who massacred said child’s family, and had destroyed his home. Medea found a connection with him, and later formed a deep bond with the boy; she’d been travelling with him in tow ever since.
But time came when she finally decided to retreat to one world, the world she last walked with her heart still intact; to Midgar. There, she began to live a normal life as a human—no longer the winged beast she used to be—in the company of her new, ten-year old little brother.
But hidden from the eyes of the normal citizens, she became associated with the Shinra Corporation as a member of the elite group: SOLDIER. She was highly exceptional, but due to some casualties, she'd left the company before being promoted. While she was part of SOLDIER, she had to participate in the one of the underground experimentations of the company, The Ender Project—which later caused her to abandon the ranks in the end.
On a wild hunt, Shinra came after her again and again. At one point, the boy she had been travelling with was taken away from her. When she "confronted" the company about his abduction, they denied ever having anything to do with his disappearance. That was the only time she'd ever released such rage, and single-handedly wreaked havoc in the company building. From then on, she's been on a mad search for the child, killing monsters and defeating the Shinra troops sent after her. It’s been a year since his disappearance, but she continues to fight with hopes of getting closer to finding her little friend and again fulfill her promise to him—to always be there for him, and to protect him, so that he would never have to feel scared and alone ever again; to feel the same way she had.
That was when she realized... that the doors had been opened, and she would, again, have to traverse through the worlds to find that which she has lost--again.
