During the revamping process, I think I will need to change some forums around, and I want everyone to have a say in how it goes. This is what I'm brainstorming so far, but my ideas are always changing, so please do comment. there are 11 forums:
1. Suggestions I think is important
2. Experiences is good for those who want to share
3. I think the 'candles and incense' one could be combined with the 'behind the waterful' category to create a general Magick Advice forum.
4. I think 'visions and voices' could be shared between the experiences forum and the magick advice forum, and could be replaced with a Spirits and Deities forum. (this forum could even be used to discuss the origin and story behind some deities, like the expressed interest in Garrett's norse and shinto background).
5. I think we need to keep a general Social category just for fun conversation.
6. I think the herb garden is still a great idea, but I'm wondering if you all wouldn't like to see it generalized into a Tools and Properties category, that way it could include the use of different metals, colors, fragrances, wood, etc... ?
7. I think we could push tarot into a general divination forum, in case anyone gets into palm reading or geomancy or what-not.
8. Assignments forum: I am considering a whole lot of change here. Right now, I'm thinking it could just be a free-for-all, and rather than breaking it off per person per function, we could break it off per assignment, and it would be easier to see 50 assignments accumulate for that incentive I mentioned wink
9. I think a crew forum may finally be in order, especially if I am to start handing out promotions.
10. I'm thinking about including a General Advice forum, because let's face it, LD has some crappy people in it like Western Death Spiral, and you can't ask for serious help for a lot of issues there without getting flamed. Let me know if you think this would go to use, or if this should be implemented as part of the Social forum.
11. A calendar watching forum: if you have a birthday or a special occasion coming up, you could share it with the guild for it to be celebrated, or we could keep an eye on approaching holidays, moon phases, and opportune times to do certain works. Perhaps zodiac discussion could even take place here.
12. DEBATE forum.
13. Prompt forum - critical thinking prompts could be thrown in here, but then there's the question of should it be generalized, or stay to subject?
14. Experimentation forum - was thinking maybe we could eliminate the school of thought thing as a group, and instead brainstorm a whole bunch of areas that we are curious of, or would like more experience in, and we could go down them one by one, perhaps keeping the same experiment item up for 1-4 weeks? That way, we could all be working on something together.
Please tell me how YOU think the guild should be organized biggrin that way we can collaborate our ideas.

I fully agree with everything from 1-10.
Oh yes, for assignments, what do you mean breaking up assignments? I like the idea of having your own topic where you post all your assignments, but the results topic could be changed to have mulitiple topics, one for each assignment. Actually, now that I think of it, One general topic about yourself and your craft and knowledge, and then just Q&A inside that topic, with other topics for each assignment would be good too.l Just post results in the topic that explains the assignment. Yes, I like it. Changing the assignments frum might be good.
I would like to suggest that with the Spirits and Deities....well where Deities are concerned I can see it in a general philosophy type forum, but also in with spirits in the sense of magickal workings - calling upon the gods and whatnot. But generally, I'd say that deities would fall under a philosophy forum.
As for spirits, I have no idea. I usually think of hauntings and the paranormal. And that wouldn't fit under philosophy unless it were the discussion of how and why spirits exist in this world, etc. That's just my thoughts.
10, General Advice, I like the idea. The question of putting it with the social forum or not lies with this - is the social forum for fun, relaxing, etc only, or is it a general life outside of anything magickal, spiritual, etc.?? If this topic will be relaxing and fun only, that would be great and another topic for general advice. But it could also be an Off-Topic subforum for general talking and advice. I like either way.
After number 10, I'm not too sure....
Calendar forum might be neat, but the zodiac would go under Divination right?
I have no ideas about a debate forum. Could be neat, but I'm not really a debater (unless of course it were a "here's my evidence of why DRAGONS EXIST!!! or existed" thing and then we just talk about why that evidence is good or bad, providing more evidence, etc....yeah actually that could be kool)
Um, prompt forum I'm sure questions and things could be placed in general or wherever, but we'll see what everyone else thinks.
Experimentation forum I like. Good idea.

I like most of your changes, Viscerim. The only one I'm iffy about is the Calendar Subforum, since I doubt it'd get used much. The rest sounds like a decent plan - I say go for'em. =]

I don't remember if I mentioned it previously, but I will make all these changes at once! sweatdrop I'm just like that I guess.
