Matt and Near is my favorite pairing of all time. I was just wondering... Are there any fans of this fandom? ;3

Then again, maybe that's because I'm a HUGE Near fan. I would pair him with L if that wouldn't be *****. xD

That is true. I'm not sure how old L is, but I haven't seen many L and Near pairings. Though I've seen a few Matt and Near pairings and I will agree, they are sweet.

L is 10 years older than Mello, meaning that he'd be 12 years older than Near. Now that's just yucky.

Good point. I'll just stick with the original three pairings. Have to keep an open mind... I'll let L have Light for that pairing. Now then, at times I'd say that Near is as adorable as a bunny when I think about it since I read in some fanfics that he either has a robot, or a bunny plushie.

I can deal with Matt x Near, but Mello x Near, thats just not for me. it's unfathomable in my mind. But yeah, Near is adorable. ^___^

I dunno, I like LxNaomi. LxLight I do not like, just because I hate Light with the passion of a thousand suns. <3
MelloxNear gives me the heevie-jeevies. xD;;
Their personalities are not compatible. Even for opposites, it still wouldn't work.
MattxNear is uber cute, and personally I think they'd be really compatible.
Oh yeah, Saigocage, did I turn you into a MattxNear fan? ;D

LxNaomi? Hmm... I'm still stuck between MelloXMatt and MattXNear. By the way, I've usually seen Near as an uke. Though I rarely saw him as a seme. Would the seme Near be as gentle or kinky? ^_-

I was actually planning on writing a crack fic where Mello slips testosterone into Near's food. He then turns into a rapist/super confident and forward. xD

True. I can rarely see Near as seme because of his calm personality.
I don't know about Near being a rapist, though I could see him as being a bit more confident about what he does.

Ahhhh, yeah. I picture him as being manipulative. With all those toys... Clearly he likes to be in control, so he must know at all times how to precceed.
He wouldn't SERIOUSLY be a rapist... He'd just force you to bend to his will in a more actually assertive way then normal.

It would be comlicated, but perhaps Mello has Matt tail Halle, Halle finds out, tells Near, and Halle leads Matt into a meeting with Near. Near questions Matt lightly, not particularlly interested. Past that, I dunno... I'm too sleepy to think right now. xD;

Not even that complicated that all.
Matt stays at Wammy's House, until it eventually gets disbanded. If, by this point Matt had grown some sort of bond with Near, he would join Near in his investigations with the Kira case. Or something along those lines. Or they simply stayed in contact because Matt is a top genius and Near might want to use him one day.
