now that you mention it; they do look strikingly similar.
BUT, i've never liked the way Loz looks or him in general, and i've always loved Vergil.
don't ask me how that works, it just does in my mind.

I love Vergil. I can't stand Loz. Side by side...has Vergil always looked like that xp
Vergil is to dignified for those long sideburns, so he looks better. Maybe the artist was a big fan?

Most Japanese games are about pretty faces (not always a bad thing) but this leads to ALOT of characters looking and acting the same... As a result, you end up with threads like this and many mediocre games because the characters are so similar to the next game. Not that Final Fantasy and Devil May Cry are bad, both series' are great in my opinion. What i'm trying to say is that it's becoming a rather repetitive cycle. The originality is lost when they all look the same.
I saw a similar discussion about another Capcom character resembling a character from another series.

They do look a lot alike. But I still favor Vergil and never really liked Loz for his demeanor. Although I love Vincent and Vergil very much. X3 =3 o3o I am a major fan for both. X3 xd whee

while i have to agree that they do look similar, especially because of the east's pretty boy fetish and the golden ratio of human proprtions for male figures in art,(which my inner fangirl unfortunetly adores) i think they have their difference. I think vergil has a broader more square jaw and features whilst loz is far sharper in the jaw and cheekbones. by that alone vergil looks more western and loz more eastern. also their personalities are different and you would never see them with the same facial expressions. it's in fact a way you can tell twins apart is by the most common emotion their facial muscles make and thus develope--not that that is actually empathized in CG charactor design. point is that loz is endering in a big "i want my mommy" sort of jugernuat retard way, thus making him adorable. meanwhile, vergil commands, much like his namesake, experiance and knowledge with a far more somber attitude you have to rightfully respect...or else, lol. but that's just my musings on the matter at hand and i think i'l retire to my near catatonic fangirling.
