I love fantasy books and movies. Lots of awesome fantasy movies are from books...like Lord of the Rings and The Golden Compass. There are still lots of master piece authors books that have not been made into movies yet. Like Terry Brooks's ' The Sword of Shannara ' that will be made into a movie in two years time. This thread is to talk about fantasy movie and books.

yes there are lots of good books but when they get turned into movies they almost always get messed up. burning_eyes

Are you kidding! Look what they did to "Eragon"! HOY!
Anyway, It was a tossup between 'Maximum Ride' and "LOTR" because I love both of them. As a matter of fact, I love ANY fantasy!!! Say fantasy and you've got my rapt attention! lol!

Caibara Ayunal Are you kidding! Look what they did to "Eragon"! HOY! Anyway, It was a tossup between 'Maximum Ride' and "LOTR" because I love both of them. As a matter of fact, I love ANY fantasy!!! Say fantasy and you've got my rapt attention! lol! are you going to see the remake of witch mountain called race to witch mountain, of city of ember, based on the teens book?

I actually didn't like Ender's Game too much :/
If you love fantasy/comedy you HAVE to read Christopher Moore
He's one of my favourite authors :]
Howl's Moving Castle was an awesome book, too.
Totally pretty much different from the movies - but I like the movie
version too :3
Holly Black Best romance fantasy ever - she only has three books,
but I'm positively DYING for more [Valiant, Tithe, and Ironside]
Pretty much anything by Annette Curtis Klause too <3

Howl's Moving Castle was a great book.
When talking about Harry Potter the books are amazing, but when you discuss the movies the first was the best, the rest are kinda completely rubbish. The new movie looks good at the moment but you can never really tell what it will be like on the big screen.
