Im American, so it's safe to say i sound like an American.
But my significant other is from a small village and has a different accent than where he lives. So people think he is Australian or South African ^^
Sometimes he gets bored and plays along, 'Yeah im from South Africa'
Haha!

I do get "mistaken" for Jewish which is ridiculous because it's not an ethnic group. I've gotten Egyptian before too. I don't know what I look, a lot say I'm very evidently Italian...  Italian, really?! I hate being italian, it's not.. ethnic enough for me. Everyone where I live is Italian.

In Medias Res II I do get "mistaken" for Jewish which is ridiculous because it's not an ethnic group. I've gotten Egyptian before too. For some reason, i thought you were from Italy but in Canada >_>

Though I have mistaken my Korean friend for a Chinese >>

I'm Yugoslavian and Albanian, and people have confused me with being Dominican/Puerto Rican/Mexican/Russian/Asianish. Mainly dominician though, since where I live there's mad dominicans and puerto ricans. Bleh. I 'ought to one day pretend I am; even though I don't know Spanish.

I have never been actually mistaken for anything. When I lived in Canada they assumed me as being Canadian. But that's a very general idea. Most people that are Canadian at least in the region where I lived weren't born in Canada or their parents weren't, but they were Canadian.
Unfortunately, I never got the Canadian citizenship even after living 7 years there.

Well from my looks I may not look like it, but I have a german background. But what missleads the people to belive im german is my name XD Always when I tell someone my name he is like "So you are german huh?" And since I allready had 1 year in germany to study I learned the lenguage. So sometimes I just pretend im a full german lol. I love to do that xD Well soon enough I will have german nacionalitation, but Ill be mexican too so that will be cool lol.

I'm puertorican and people over here have confused me with being american cause of my skin color O.o. Also someone once thought I was from Venezuela cause of my accent...though I'm pretty sure I don't sound like it o.o
I don't mind really cause it has not happened that often but I have confused people with other nationalities and they have gotten offended big time!

According to Wiki, Republic of Yugoslavia broke up in the 90's and present day countries are in its Geographical place: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia, Slovenia and Kosovo. You are also right, Czechoslovakia has not been a country since 1992 XD
